Abstract

This research aims to develop and realize a 2WD car robot that uses an Arduino UNO and is controlled by a wireless PS2 joystick. The method used in this research is experimental, which includes system design, hardware assembly, programming, and performance testing. The designed system integrates the joystick as input, Arduino for data processing, and the L298N motor driver to control DC motors. The test results showed that the robot could effectively carry out instructions from the joystick, such as moving forward, backward, turning, and stopping. The system's response time is relatively fast, approximately 1 second, allowing for real-time control. The wireless connection proved stable at distances between 1 and 5 meters, but its performance decreased at longer distances and was disconnected at around 10 meters. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the system has functioned according to the intended design, although it still. although it still has limitations in communication range. Therefore, it is recommended to use a communication module with a wider range and to add sensors to improve the robot's capabilities. This research is expected to serve as a reference in the development of microcontroller-based robotic systems.

Abstract

The increase in thrift product prices at Cimol Gedebage Market in Bandung has created a negative perception among consumers, which has then developed into negative Word of Mouth (WOM) both on social media and in person. This situation has forced thrift merchants to respond strategically to maintain the sustainability of their businesses. This study aims to analyze the crisis communication strategies employed by thrift merchants at Cimol Gedebage Market in responding to perceptions of high prices. The study uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews with merchants, buyers, and market managers. The results show that vendors implement crisis communication strategies aligned with the Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT), including excuse and justification strategies. Additionally, persuasive approaches such as offering discounts, explaining product value, and engaging in bargaining interactions with customers contribute to the creation of positive word-of-mouth (WOM) as a form of perception recovery. This study is expected to contribute theoretically to the development of crisis communication literature in the informal sector, particularly in the thrifting business, and serve as a practical reference for business operators and policymakers in formulating effective communication strategies to address crisis-based challenges in the informal sector.

Abstract

Financial Performance represents the achievement of an entity's overall operational activities measured through financial indicators within a specific period. This research examines the financial performance fluctuations within the Indonesian manufacturing sector during the 2021–2024 post-pandemic recovery period. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of the Community Donation Ratio (CDR), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and Institutional Ownership on Financial Performance (FP), utilizing Environmental Performance (EP) as a mediating variable. Employing a quantitative approach and purposive sampling, the study analyzed 52 observations from manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Data were processed using multiple linear regression and classical assumption tests. The results indicate that CSR disclosure and EP significantly enhance corporate financial performance. Conversely, CDR and Institutional Ownership do not provide a significant positive contribution, with social donations even exerting negative pressure on profitability in combined models. Furthermore, while EP directly affects profitability, it is not proven to mediate the influence of CDR or Institutional Ownership on financial outcomes. The study concludes that high environmental standards and transparent social reporting are critical strategic drivers for economic stability and public trust in Indonesia's manufacturing industry.

Abstract

Public sector employee performance is a key factor in achieving effective governance and high-quality public services. Amid rising public demands, government employees face job complexity, resource constraints, and high administrative pressure. This study aims to analyze the influence of competence and motivation on the performance of public sector employees and to examine the moderating role of workload in this relationship among government officials in Bulungan Regency. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method targeting public sector employees in Bulungan Regency. Data were collected via a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling to test the direct relationships and moderating effects among the variables, after first ensuring the validity and reliability of the instruments. The results of the study indicate that competence and motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while workload acts as a moderating variable that weakens the relationship between competence and performance as well as between motivation and performance when workload is high. These findings indicate that the management of disproportionate workloads can hinder the utilization of employees’ competencies and motivational energy; thus, in practice, local governments need to balance the distribution of workloads with competency development and motivation systems so that civil servant performance can be optimized sustainably.
