Abstract

Exponential learning that had been occurring so far did not pay attention to the learning obstacles that students experienced. In general, the teacher delivered material by referring to documents, textbooks, or reference books. Therefore, it was important to conduct a study that examined learning obstacles in exponential material. The purpose of this research was to analyze the learning barriers associated with exponential material. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative, using data collection techniques in the form of observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were 30 students of Mts NW Aik Anyar class VIII D. Data retrieval in the research was based on the results of student answer tests using the exponential question instrument consisting of five items. The results showed that there were still many students who had difficulty working on exponential questions. It was concluded that student learning barriers were divided into two factors: ontogeny barriers (learning readiness) and epistemological barriers (knowledge of students with limited application contexts).

Abstract

This study aimed to improve student's reading comprehension skills through the role of the RADEC (Read-Answer-Discuss-Explain-Create) learning model assisted by flipbook media. One of the reasons for the low reading ability of students was the learning process at school. Therefore, the teacher had to be able to determine the appropriate learning model. This research was a Classroom Action Research (PTK) model of Kurt Lewin. It was carried out in two cycles, starting with pre-cycle, cycle 1, and cycle 2. The research subjects were 22 (twenty-two) grade 3 students at SDN 036 Ujungberung Bandung City. Data collection was carried out using a written test in the form of multiple-choice questions of 10 questions. The results showed that there was an increase in the percentage of completeness of learning outcomes. The pre-cycle showed 45% of students were complete and 55% incomplete, cycle I had 68% complete and 32% incomplete, and cycle II had 100% completed and 0% incomplete. Based on the results of the study, it could be concluded that the RADEC learning model assisted by flipbook media could improve the reading comprehension skills of grade 3 students. The results of this study indicated that, in general, the RADEC learning model improved student learning activities. Students were more active when the learning process took place with various syntaxes. In addition, the RADEC learning model supported students' reading comprehension skills during the implementation process. With the syntax Read, students' reading comprehension skills were trained and their information or insights were broadened before receiving the subject matter. The RADEC learning model was suitable for students in Indonesia whose reading literacy level was low compared to other countries. With the habit of doing reading activities before the learning process, students' interest in reading could be increased.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the ability to recognize alphabet letters through flannel board media at TKN RA Kartini Segara Katon for the 2024/2024 academic year. This research was carried out at TKN RA Kartini Segara Katon in group B with a total of 17 children consisting of 8 boys and 9 girls. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method. This research uses data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative techniques.Research can be said to be successful if it reaches a score of 80%. The results of the research conducted showed that the use of flannel board media on the ability to recognize alphabet letters in pre-action or pre-cycle only reached 41%, in cycle I it increased to 58% and in cycle II it increased to 88%.So it can be concluded that choosing learning media is very important in improving the ability to recognize alphabet letters because if the learning media presented is interesting it will make children more focused and attract children's attention to the learning delivered by the teacher, especially learning the ability to recognize letters. The research was stopped in cycle II because it had reached the success criteria.

Abstract

The research aimed to determine how citizenship education instilled the character of mutual cooperation in elementary school. This qualitative study, employing a descriptive approach, sought to explore how citizenship education was integrated into the development of mutual cooperation among students. Conducted at one of the elementary school in North Lombok, Indonesia. The research involved the principal, citizenship education teacher, and class IV students as its subjects.  The researcher served as the key instrument, supported by interviews, documentation, and observation tools. Findings revealed that teachers consistently applied citizenship education during the learning process. Topics such as rights, obligations, and mutual cooperation were taught, though students often struggled to comprehend the material and hesitated to ask questions for clarification. The discrepancy between student activities at school and at home posed challenges for teachers. Additionally, the lack of textbooks forced educators to rely on cellphones for instructional materials. Students found citizenship education both challenging and inconsistently engaging. To address these issues, teachers and school principals implemented habituation strategies. These strategies aimed to integrate citizenship education into daily routines, fostering mutual cooperation, where students actively participated in various activities.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the impact of broken home families on the learning motivation of grade 4 students at SDN 3 Rempek darusallam for the 2023/2024 academic year. This research is a descriptive type of qualitative research.Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained was analyzed descriptively by reducing the data, presenting the data and drawing conclusions.test the validity of the data or check the data using source triangulation. The results of this research show that broken home families tend to have less motivation to learn,3 students tend to be less,so that children are less motivated in learning.Children become lazy about studying, lazy about going to school, and enthusiastic about learning, and indifferent to the learning process.
