Abstract

The aim of this writing is to analyze fiqh law in a rational argumentative approach or what is often called the burhani method in Islamic studies. In writing this, the author searched for and studied literature related to the object of this study, not only relying on books but in journals, magazines, and so on. Using a rational argumentative approach based on library data accompanied by discourse analysis, it was found that fiqh law can be produced using the burhani method, namely a method in Islamic studies that uses ratio/reason. This burhaniyah method developed in various forms of reasoning methods or ijtihad methods, both those with a deductive reasoning pattern (istinbathi) and those with an inductive reasoning pattern (istiqra'i).

Abstract

Knowledge is seen as a distinction that separates humans from other creatures. In the Qur'an, knowledge encompasses various laws and sciences, indicating that understanding the Qur'an requires knowledge. Knowledgeable individuals hold a noble status, as Allah elevates their rank and highlights the importance of knowledge. This research will examine the essence of knowledge in the Qur'an based on several verses, namely QS. Al-Hud (11): 14, QS. Al-Baqarah (2): 145, QS. Al-Baqarah (2): 32, and QS. Al-Qashas (28): 78. The study employs a qualitative approach with a library research method. Islam teaches humanity to continually learn and positions knowledge in a noble place, emphasizing the importance of being grateful for the knowledge bestowed by Allah, while also recognizing its limitations. Humans are reminded not to be arrogant about their knowledge, as there remain many secrets of the universe yet to be uncovered

Abstract

Technological advancements in the digital era have significantly transformed the way people communicate and interact, particularly through social media. However, the irresponsible use of social media can lead to negative consequences, such as misinformation, hate speech, and social division. Therefore, ethical guidelines are essential to ensure proper communication and interaction in the digital space. This study examines the perspective of Tafsir Al-Misbah on ethical principles of communication and interaction on social media based on QS. An-Nahl [16]: 90 and QS. Al-Hujurat [49]: 6. The research employs a literature review method with a thematic tafsir approach. The findings indicate that QS. An-Nahl [16]: 90 highlights justice, kindness, and compassion as fundamental principles of communication, while QS. Al-Hujurat [49]: 6 emphasizes the importance of tabayyun (verification) before disseminating any information. Tafsir Al-Misbah provides insights into how these verses serve as key guidelines for social media engagement, fostering more respectful, harmonious, and responsible communication

Abstract

This research explores the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) model strategy in Arabic extracurricular programs at the Arabic Language Development Institute (LPBA) in Islamic boarding schools. This research aims to improve diverse and responsive learning approaches to increase the effectiveness of these extracurricular programs. Using a qualitative case study approach, data was collected through interviews, observation and document analysis, analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, restatement and drawing conclusions. These findings highlight the strategy of implementing TAI in the LPBA extracurricular program, which results in improved student learning outcomes and achievements. This approach effectively addresses the needs and potential of students, but needs to be adapted to more personal needs. This study contributes to the literature by providing insight into relevant educational practices in the context of Arabic language learning, emphasizing the importance of adapted teaching methods in increasing santri engagement and achievement in extracurricular programs at Islamic boarding schools

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyse how the influence of Islamic religious education on community empowerment in early childhood in madrasah diniyah AL-HUDA and TPQ Al-abdullah in Tlogosari sub-district Bondowoso district. Islamic religious education has an important role in empowering the early childhood community because at their age it is considered fast enough to receive information and become the most valuable time for them. The research method used is a qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews and observations. Research results show that Islamic religious education can have a positive impact on the empowerment of the early childhood community, especially in increasing religious awareness, developing good character, and increasing participation in community activities. Therefore, efforts need to be made to improve the quality of Islamic religious education and expand its access for early childhood. Students who study well will become more insightful so that they understand what they should do and what not to do. The implication of this research is to help early childhood make it easier to learn Islam so that they can become ethical and knowledgeable Muslims and they can do good deeds in society because they are the successors of the nation whose goodness is expected

Abstract

The uniqueness of culinary names in restaurants or eateries has led some of these names to carry negative connotations in the eyes of certain segments of society. Many culinary names, such as "Mie Gacoan," "Mie Setan," "Ceker Dajal," and others, can seem inappropriate or excessive. In light of this, the aim of this study focuses on MUI Fatwa Number 4 of 2003, which discusses the use of unique culinary names from an Islamic legal perspective. This research seeks to explore how the legality of a name is evaluated within Islamic law using the tools of Fiqh. It also examines the underlying values that govern the use of names in Islam. The research employs a library research method, drawing upon primary sources to formulate Islamic viewpoints based on the Qur'an, Hadith, Fiqh principles, and classical Islamic texts (Kitab Kuning). The findings conclude that, from a Fiqh perspective, MUI Fatwa Number 4 of 2003 prohibiting names in culinary contexts that suggest disbelief, falsehood, or refer to prohibited objects or animals is justified. This is because the meanings of such names are deemed inappropriate for food products. Furthermore, the Fiqh perspective on the values underlying food naming encompasses three important aspects: first, serving as an identity for the named item; second, acting as a distinguishing factor between different entities; and third, functioning as a form of prayer for the named item. Therefore, the Fiqh perspective assesses MUI Fatwa Number 4 of 2003 as aligned with the principles of Islam.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this journal is to find out the extent of improving student learning outcomes by using the recitation method in the subject of moral beliefs at MI Tarbiyatul Ikhwan. The research method used was a classroom action research method which was carried out in 2 cycles using the recitation method in grade 2 of MI Tarbiyatul Ikhwan. The data source was obtained from the 2nd grade as many as 19 students. The data collection technique in this study uses observation sheets. Data analysis uses quantitative calculations which are then described in the form of percentages. The results of the study show that the application of the recitation method can improve student learning outcomes in the subject of moral beliefs. Judging from observations with a total of 19 students. The students who obtained complete scores amounted to 8 people. Then it increased in cycle 1 by 12 people with a percentage of 63%. And increased in cycle 2 by 17 people with a percentage of 89%.

Abstract

This article discusses Buya Hamka's perspective on disease and its prevention efforts based on the interpretation of several verses of the Qur'an, and compares it with Ibn Katsir's interpretation. The main focus of the study is the interpretation of Q.S. Al-Anbiya' verse 83 about the story of the Prophet Ayyub who suffered from illness, Q.S. An-Nahl verse 69 about the benefits of honey as medicine, and Q.S. Al-Maidah verse 6 which is related to ablution as a form of personal hygiene. Buya Hamka interprets that the illness that afflicted the Prophet Ayyub came from the interference of the devil, although this interpretation does not have a strong sanad. In disease prevention, Hamka emphasized the importance of honey which has been recognized traditionally and medically as having properties as an antibacterial and natural healer. In addition, ablution is also associated with health benefits, especially in preventing infectious diseases. This article also reviews the similarities and differences in interpretation of Buya Hamka and Ibn Katsir. Both agreed that honey and ablution have health value, but differed in interpreting the origin of the Prophet Ayyub's disease. This study shows that the spiritual values in the Qur'an can make an important contribution to the understanding of physical health and its prevention

Abstract

Tolerance and diversity are two fundamental values that underpin the creation of a peaceful and harmonious society, especially in a multicultural country like Indonesia. With over 1,300 ethnic groups and six official religions, Indonesia faces the challenge of maintaining harmony amidst its differences. This study aims to examine the role of the Hadiths of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a source of Islamic teachings in promoting tolerance and respecting diversity. The method used is a qualitative study with a descriptive-analytical approach, reviewing Hadiths related to tolerance and diversity from primary Hadith sources. The study finds that the principle of tolerance in Islam, as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad SAW, is manifested in mutual respect, both among Muslims and non-Muslims. The Hadiths not only provide ethical guidance for social interactions but also reinforce the view that diversity is part of divine decree that should be embraced with an open heart. The results of this study suggest that the application of these teachings can strengthen the unity of Indonesia’s diverse nation by emphasizing the importance of an inclusive attitude, mutual respect, and the promotion of peace in national life

Abstract

The meaning of nifaq in the Qur'an must be interpreted deeply, broadly and in detail. Moreover, the meaning regarding a person's characteristics helps in practicing the contents of the Qur'an to the maximum. Discussions and debates of modern commentators about nifaq have several differences. This study will discuss the definition of nifaq and its characteristics according to the two commentators, namely Muhammad ʿAlī al-Ṣābūnī and Wahbah al-Zuḥaylī and how the similarities and differences between the two commentators regarding the definition of nifaq and its characteristics. The research method used is library research, in collecting data using the documentation method. while in analyzing data using descriptive analytical and comparative methods, the selection of verses focuses on verses that discuss nifaq. The results of the study can be concluded that the interpretation of the two commentators on the concept of nifaq has three conclusions, including: First, the definition of nifaq, Al-Ṣābūnī and Al-Zuḥaylī put forward the same opinion, namely nifaq are those who display faith and hide disbelief. Second, regarding the characteristics of nifaq, it can be concluded into two forms of nifaq, namely Al-nifaq al-i'tiqadi, including: deceiving and forgetting Allah, hesitating and doubting in faith, pretending to believe and al-nifaq al-'amali, including: lying (lying), ordering evil, forbidding good, Third, the comparison between the interpretations of Al-Ṣābūnī and Wahbah Al-Zuḥaylī on the concept of nifaq shows more similarities than differences, but the details of the differences are not substantial.
