Abstract

This article analyzes the strategy of the Instagram account @dr_kamilinjamilin_official in conveying hadith about the ethics of maintaining privacy on social media. Using the netnography method, this study explores interactions in cyberspace and analyzes the video content uploaded by Dr. Kamilin Jamilin. The account utilizes visual and storytelling approaches to make the hadith more interesting and relevant to the younger generation. Active interaction with followers and consistency in content uploading are key to successful message delivery. The hadith emphasizes the importance of respecting others' personal boundaries, in line with Islamic ethical values. The content on this account was well received by followers, who showed support for the message. The article also highlights the importance of maintaining ethics and the value of brotherhood in Islam as well as the negative impact of sharing personal information on social media. Cases such as Vivi, a victim of the ITE Law for spreading disgrace, serve as a clear example of the consequences of such injustice. This research emphasizes the role of social media as an effective and ethical da'wah platform, especially if supported by good digital literacy. The @dr_kamilinjamilin_official account is an example of how social media can be used to remind Muslims to be wiser and more responsible in the media. A relevant and religious values-based approach shows the great potential of social media in building ethical awareness amidst the challenges of the digital era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pemikiran hadis Abdullah al-Harari, seorang ulama asal Harar, Ethiopia, yang memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam kajian ilmu hadis. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode library research dengan fokus pada empat rumusan masalah: biografi Abdullah al-Harari, latar belakang pendidikannya, pengaruh pemikirannya terhadap studi hadis, serta gagasan-gagasannya tentang hadis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Abdullah al-Harari, yang lahir pada awal abad ke-20, merupakan ulama yang dikenal dengan gelar “Al-Habasyi” karena asal-usulnya dari Ethiopia. Ia memiliki latar belakang pendidikan yang mendalam dalam ilmu agama, terutama hadis, dengan belajar dari berbagai ulama ternama di Timur Tengah. Pemikiran Abdullah al-Harari tentang hadis dipengaruhi oleh pandangan tradisional, dengan penekanan pada pentingnya sanad dan matan dalam validasi hadis. Ia menekankan perlunya pendekatan kritis terhadap sanad untuk memastikan otentisitas suatu hadis, seraya tetap menghormati otoritas ulama salaf. Selain itu, pemikirannya juga berkontribusi pada pengembangan metode tahrij dan analisis kritis matan hadis, yang mendorong umat Islam untuk memahami teks hadis dalam konteksnya. Pengaruh pemikirannya tercermin dalam berbagai karya tulis yang menjadi rujukan di dunia Islam, khususnya dalam kajian hadis. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini mengungkap bahwa pemikiran Abdullah al-Harari tentang hadis tidak hanya memperkaya literatur keislaman tetapi juga memberikan arah baru bagi generasi ulama dalam memahami dan mengajarkan hadis dengan pendekatan yang sistematis dan mendalam. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi signifikan bagi pengembangan studi hadis di era modern

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang Makan bergizi gratis (MBG) yang merupakan salah satu program prioritas presiden Prabowo subianto dan wakil presiden gibran rakabuming raka, program ini akan berlangsung pada pemerintahan Kabinet Merah Putih yang akan dimulai pada Januari 2025. Masyarakat yang menjadi Prioritas penerima makan bergizi gratis yakni ibu-ibu hamil, ibu-ibu menyusui, serta anak balita dan seluruh anak sekolah yang ada di indonesia. Bagaimana hadis melihat program makan bergizi gratis ini dalam perspektif kajian ma’anil hadis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi pustaka. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman secara komperhensif terkait kebijakan pemerintah dengan menggunakan hadis sebagai pisau analisis dari segi matan hadis serta pemaknaan tekstual dan kontekstual. Berdasarkan analisis hadis yang diriwayatkan oleh imam thabrani dan ali bin abi thalib menunjukan bahwa kesimpulan dari penelitian ini meberikan pemahaman bagi kita bahwa kebijakan makan bergizi gratis ini adalah perbuatan yang sangat dianjurkan oleh Nabi Muhammad SAW demi menciptakan generasi yang unggul bagi bangsa Indonesia.

Abstract

The phenomenon of dichotomy between faith and morality in the religious practices of contemporary Muslims shows a reduction in the comprehensive meaning of Islam. Many individuals claim faith theologically but fail to realize it in ethical social behavior, thus causing a crisis of spiritual and moral integrity. Departing from these problems, this study aims to analyze in depth the dialectical relationship between faith and morality in the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad, and to formulate an ideal Muslim character model that is integral from a theological and ethical perspective. This research was conducted through a qualitative approach based on library research. The main sources were obtained from classical and contemporary literature, especially authoritative hadith books such as Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan al-Tirmidzi, and al-Adab al-Mufrad, as well as the works of Islamic scholars and thinkers who discuss the theological and ethical dimensions in Islam. The analytical method used is content analysis and text hermeneutics, with a focus on identifying themes of faith and morals, as well as conceptual and applicative relationships between the two in shaping Muslim character. The results of the discussion show that the hadiths form a construction of Muslim personality that emphasizes the balance between inner belief and outward moral expression. Aqidah is not only positioned as a theoretical belief, but as a spiritual force that drives concrete ethical actions. Hadiths such as "a person's faith is not perfect until he loves his brother as he loves himself" show that morality is not just a social value, but an indicator of validation of the quality of faith. This finding strengthens that the ideal Muslim character is a figure who embodies the principles of monotheism in social and interpersonal practices, such as sincerity in doing good deeds, honesty in speech, and justice in action. The conclusion of this study confirms that aqidah and morality in the hadith of the Prophet are two dimensions that cannot be separated in shaping true Muslim spirituality and identity. The integration of the two produces a character model that is complete, transformative, and contextual to the challenges of the times. Therefore, efforts to form an ideal Muslim character must be based on a holistic understanding of Islamic teachings, by making the hadith a normative and inspiring source in reconstructing the relationship between faith and ethics in real life.

Abstract

Israiliyyat are often used to provide additional details to narratives in the Qur'an and Hadith. However, the presence of fabricated Hadiths and questionable Israiliyyat has sparked debate among scholars. This study aims to analyze the criticism of Israiliyyat content using both riwayah (transmission-based) and dirayah (content-based) approaches, with a particular focus on the contributions of Abu Syahbah, a prominent Hadith scholar. Abu Syahbah is known for his critical stance toward Israiliyyat and fabricated Hadiths, especially in the context of fifteen major Tafsir (Qur'anic exegesis) works. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method through a literature review, examining Israiliyyat narratives by validating their chains of transmission (sanad) and texts (matan), as well as assessing their alignment with Islamic teachings. The findings reveal that Abu Syahbah rigorously verifies the sanad and matan of each narrative to ensure their integrity and reliability, and he also critiques scholars or exegetes who rely on Israiliyyat without sufficient verification. Challenges in this critique include the complexity of lengthy transmission chains and the questionable credibility of certain narrators. The dirayah analysis is also applied to evaluate the narratives in light of fundamental Islamic principles, historical context, and socio-cultural background. This study affirms the importance of combining riwayah and dirayah analysis in safeguarding the purity of Islamic teachings from unauthentic narratives.

Abstract

Learning is a natural human inclination that must be developed throughout a person’s life. In Islam, the process of learning is not merely seen as an effort to acquire knowledge, but as a means to draw closer to Allah and to fully humanize individuals. The hadiths of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) contain many messages emphasizing the importance of seeking knowledge, honoring teachers, respecting one another, and instilling perseverance and enthusiasm in the learning process. This study aims to explore and internalize the values contained in the Prophet’s hadiths about learning. It employs a thematic (maudhu’i) approach and connects these values with the principles of Humanistic Psychology. Using a descriptive qualitative method and thematic analysis of relevant hadiths, this research identifies values such as sincerity in learning, appreciation for the process, hope and optimism, and the motivation to reach one’s highest potential (tafaqquh fī al-dīn). The study also recommends that contemporary Islamic education should not only focus on cognitive aspects but also integrate a humanistic psychological approach grounded in the values of the hadiths. This is essential for nurturing learners who are not only intellectually intelligent but also emotionally and spiritually mature. Thus, the learning process becomes not merely a means for achieving worldly goals, but also a path toward a higher, liberating sense of life’s purpose.

Abstract

Thematic hadith study (dirāsah mawḍū‘iyyah) is a methodological approach that analyzes hadiths based on specific themes, enabling a more comprehensive and contextual understanding of prophetic traditions. This approach emerges in response to the limitations of traditional hadith studies, which often emphasize textual and sanad analysis while neglecting the social realities surrounding the text. In today’s era, Muslims face a range of modern challenges, including moral crises, environmental degradation, social inequality, and the spread of religious misinformation. Therefore, revitalizing thematic hadith studies is an urgent need to position hadith as a living and applicable source of values. This article aims to explore the definition, historical development, and the urgency of renewing thematic hadith studies in responding to contemporary issues. Using a qualitative library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach, this study finds that revitalization can be achieved through interdisciplinary integration, particularly with social sciences and humanities, and the use of digital technology in hadith exploration and dissemination. This approach offers great potential for re-establishing hadith as a foundation for social ethics, justice, and religious moderation in modern contexts. The findings are expected to contribute both theoretically and practically to the development of a more progressive and relevant hadith scholarship

Abstract

Patience is a fundamental value in Islamic teachings that is reflected in many traditions of the Prophet Muhammad. However, how Muslim adolescents interpret patience in the context of daily life is an interesting issue to be studied in more depth. This article aims to build a theoretical understanding of the construction of the meaning of patience in the lives of Muslim adolescents through Kathy Charmaz's constructivist Grounded Theory approach, combined with an analysis of the hadiths related to patience. This study was conducted by examining the real experiences of Muslim adolescents in various social and spiritual contexts, such as academic pressure, emotional conflicts, and the search for Islamic identity. Data were collected through contextual literature review, phenomenological observation in digital social spaces and Islamic communities, as well as reflection on daily narratives spread in social media and the work of Muslim teenagers. All findings were analyzed using the principles of open coding and theoretical coding typical of Grounded Theory. The results show that patience is not only understood as a passive attitude of restraint, but is interpreted as an active struggle in maintaining values, strengthening faith, and building resilience. This understanding is shaped by the interaction between the hadith teachings, the collective experiences of adolescents, and the values that develop in their social environment. This article emphasizes the importance of a contextual approach in understanding Islamic values that live in the reality of adolescents, and encourages the development of character education based on spirituality and culture of the younger generation.

Abstract

Mental health is a fundamental aspect in the educational process, especially in forming students who are emotionally and spiritually resilient. This article aims to examine the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad SAW related to peace of mind (sakīnah, ṭuma'nīnah, ṣabr, tawakkal, and ridha) through a thematic study approach (maudu'i), and to analyze their relevance within the framework of contemporary positive psychology. This study is qualitative with a library method, where primary data in the form of authentic hadiths are collected, classified thematically, and analyzed for their meaning in the context of mental health. The results of the study indicate that the values contained in the hadiths have a high degree of conformity with concepts in positive psychology such as resilience, gratitude, mindfulness, and inner peace. These findings provide a foundation for the integration of Islamic values in mental health-based education, especially in the development of Islamic guidance and counseling programs in schools. Thus, this study confirms that the Prophet's hadiths not only have spiritual-theological value, but also contribute applicatively to strengthening students' mental health.

Abstract

The thematic approach in understanding hadith is to understand the meaning contained in the hadith by studying other hadiths related to the same topic of discussion and paying attention to the correlation of each so that a complete understanding is obtained. Eschatology in Islam includes discussions about the Day of Judgment, death, resurrection, the calculation of deeds, heaven, and hell, which are fundamental parts of the pillars of faith. However, the understanding of eschatological hadiths is often still partial and textual, so that their moral and spiritual messages have not been fully internalized in the lives of Muslims. This study aims to achieve strengthening of faith through the study of eschatological hadiths using the mawḍu‘i (thematic) approach. This study uses a qualitative approach with the application of the thematic hadith method. The formal object of this study is that the mawḍu‘i approach is able to offer solutions by studying all hadiths related to the theme of eschatology systematically and holistically. It can be concluded that in this study, the study of mawḍu‘i helps integrate theological and moral aspects in the eschatological hadith so that the aqidah formed is not only theoretical, but also applicable in the daily lives of Muslims. Thus, the mawḍu‘i approach is an effective method that can strengthen beliefs and build strong faith characters amidst the dynamics of modern life. Therefore, the development of thematic hadith studies is highly recommended to support more meaningful and relevant Islamic education and preaching
