Abstract

Learning is a natural human inclination that must be developed throughout a person’s life. In Islam, the process of learning is not merely seen as an effort to acquire knowledge, but as a means to draw closer to Allah and to fully humanize individuals. The hadiths of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) contain many messages emphasizing the importance of seeking knowledge, honoring teachers, respecting one another, and instilling perseverance and enthusiasm in the learning process. This study aims to explore and internalize the values contained in the Prophet’s hadiths about learning. It employs a thematic (maudhu’i) approach and connects these values with the principles of Humanistic Psychology. Using a descriptive qualitative method and thematic analysis of relevant hadiths, this research identifies values such as sincerity in learning, appreciation for the process, hope and optimism, and the motivation to reach one’s highest potential (tafaqquh fī al-dīn). The study also recommends that contemporary Islamic education should not only focus on cognitive aspects but also integrate a humanistic psychological approach grounded in the values of the hadiths. This is essential for nurturing learners who are not only intellectually intelligent but also emotionally and spiritually mature. Thus, the learning process becomes not merely a means for achieving worldly goals, but also a path toward a higher, liberating sense of life’s purpose.

Abstract

The phenomenon of dichotomy between faith and morality in the religious practices of contemporary Muslims shows a reduction in the comprehensive meaning of Islam. Many individuals claim faith theologically but fail to realize it in ethical social behavior, thus causing a crisis of spiritual and moral integrity. Departing from these problems, this study aims to analyze in depth the dialectical relationship between faith and morality in the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad, and to formulate an ideal Muslim character model that is integral from a theological and ethical perspective. This research was conducted through a qualitative approach based on library research. The main sources were obtained from classical and contemporary literature, especially authoritative hadith books such as Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan al-Tirmidzi, and al-Adab al-Mufrad, as well as the works of Islamic scholars and thinkers who discuss the theological and ethical dimensions in Islam. The analytical method used is content analysis and text hermeneutics, with a focus on identifying themes of faith and morals, as well as conceptual and applicative relationships between the two in shaping Muslim character. The results of the discussion show that the hadiths form a construction of Muslim personality that emphasizes the balance between inner belief and outward moral expression. Aqidah is not only positioned as a theoretical belief, but as a spiritual force that drives concrete ethical actions. Hadiths such as "a person's faith is not perfect until he loves his brother as he loves himself" show that morality is not just a social value, but an indicator of validation of the quality of faith. This finding strengthens that the ideal Muslim character is a figure who embodies the principles of monotheism in social and interpersonal practices, such as sincerity in doing good deeds, honesty in speech, and justice in action. The conclusion of this study confirms that aqidah and morality in the hadith of the Prophet are two dimensions that cannot be separated in shaping true Muslim spirituality and identity. The integration of the two produces a character model that is complete, transformative, and contextual to the challenges of the times. Therefore, efforts to form an ideal Muslim character must be based on a holistic understanding of Islamic teachings, by making the hadith a normative and inspiring source in reconstructing the relationship between faith and ethics in real life.

Abstract

This article discusses free nutritious meals (MBG), one of the priority programs of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. This program will occur during the Red and White Cabinet government starting in January 2025. Communities who are priority recipients of free nutritious meals namely pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, as well as toddlers, and all school children in Indonesia, How does the hadith view this free nutritious meal program in from the perspective of ma'anil hadith studies. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of literature study. This research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of government policy by using hadith as an analytical tool in terms of hadith content as well as textual and contextual meaning. Based on the analysis of the hadith narrated by Imam Thabrani and Ali bin Abi Talib, it shows that the conclusions of this research provide us with an understanding that the free nutritious meal policy is an action that was highly recommended by the Prophet Muhammad SAW to create a superior generation for the Indonesian nation.

Abstract

This study explores the critical role of accountability in Islamic finance, particularly how it is applied in key Islamic financial institutions such as Islamic banks, zakat and waqf organizations, Baitul Maal wat Tamwil (BMT), and Islamic cooperatives. In the context of Islamic finance, accountability goes beyond just administrative requirements it embodies a deep moral responsibility to uphold the trust that the community places in these institutions. Drawing from the teachings of the Qur'an and Hadith, this study highlights the values of honesty, transparency, and fairness as fundamental in managing financial transactions and funds in line with Islamic principles. The paper delves into various dimensions of leadership responsibility and the prohibition against misusing funds, emphasizing how these principles are practiced in institutions that operate under Shariah law. It stresses that financial management within Shariah-compliant institutions must be rooted in values like openness, equity, and collaboration, ensuring that the funds are used in a way that benefits the entire Muslim community. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of accountability in fostering trust between the public and Islamic financial institutions, which ultimately contributes to the broader economic empowerment of the ummah. In conclusion, this paper emphasizes that the principle of accountability in Islamic finance is not only a regulatory obligation but a cornerstone in creating a just, transparent, and sustainable economic system. Its implementation ensures that the financial system benefits the Muslim community fairly and equitably.

Abstract

Mountaineering is now a popular activity in Indonesia, but climbers' behavior that lacks environmental ethics often triggers natural damage such as water pollution, illegal logging, and scattered garbage. This study aims to examine the ethics of climbing from the perspective of hadith by emphasizing the concept of natural Hablum as a form of spiritual and ecological responsibility for humans. The research uses a qualitative method based on literature study through thematic analysis of primary and secondary literature, including the interpretation of the Qur'an and related hadiths. The results show that mountains in Islamic teachings have an important meaning as the earth's peg, source of water, and place of blessing, so maintaining its preservation is a moral obligation as well as worship. Climbers are encouraged to avoid destroying flora-fauna, polluting water sources, and littering, and are expected to have a spiritual-ecological awareness that reflects the balance of Hablum minallah, Hablum minannas, and Hablum minal nature.

Abstract

Nikah Siri refers to a form of marriage conducted in accordance with Islamic law but not officially registered with the state, thereby lacking legal recognition under positive law. Although it fulfills the essential elements of Islamic jurisprudence such as the presence of a guardian (wali), witnesses, consent (ijab qabul), and dowry (mahr) the absence of public announcement (i’lan) and state registration leads to significant legal, social, and psychological consequences, particularly for women and children. This study aims to provide a philosophical analysis of the Nikah Siri practice through the lens of Hadith and the Maqasid Shariah framework, to assess its alignment with the fundamental objectives of Islamic law. Utilizing a qualitative method and library research approach, this study analyzes primary sources such as the Quran, Hadith, and statutory regulations (Law No. 1 of 1974, the Compilation of Islamic Law, and Law No. 16 of 2019), as well as relevant secondary literature. The findings reveal that while Nikah Siri may be deemed valid from a formal fiqh perspective, it fails to uphold the core objectives of Maqasid Shariah, particularly in safeguarding lineage (hifz al-nasl), dignity (hifz al-‘irdh), and property (hifz al-mal). The lack of official registration results in unclear legal status for marriages and offspring, deprives women of legal protection, and jeopardizes economic and social rights. Consequently, Nikah Siri not only generates juridical disadvantages but also contradicts the ethical and social goals of Islamic law. These findings advocate for enhanced legal education and the harmonization of religious norms with state regulations as strategic measures for protecting Muslim families.

Abstract

The idea of deliberation taught in Islamic teachings is a fundamental principle in the collective decision-making process that prioritizes the values of justice, equality, involvement, and common welfare. The Prophet Muhammad PBUH gave a real example in implementing shur, which is involving the companions to discuss and consider opinions in solving important problems, both in the social, political, and social fields. The values contained in the deliberations actually have a very close wedge with the principles of modern democracy, which uphold public participation, transparency, and shared responsibility in realizing the welfare of the community. Therefore, this study aims to examine the hadiths that discuss the concept of deliberation and analyze how it is relevant and applied in contemporary democratic practice. Using a qualitative thematic analysis approach, this study identifies and collects a number of hadiths related to deliberation, then examines the values contained in them, such as community involvement, representative systems, and public accountability. The results of this research are expected to be able to enrich scientific treasures while contributing to strengthening the values of deliberation in the context of modern democracy, so that the principles of shura that have been exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad PBUH remain relevant and able to be implemented in the system of government and community life in the current era. Thus, this study also opens up opportunities for the development of discourse on the integration of Islamic values with the democratic system as a foothold for building a just governance

Abstract

The thematic approach in understanding hadith is to understand the meaning contained in the hadith by studying other hadiths related to the same topic of discussion and paying attention to the correlation of each so that a complete understanding is obtained. Eschatology in Islam includes discussions about the Day of Judgment, death, resurrection, the calculation of deeds, heaven, and hell, which are fundamental parts of the pillars of faith. However, the understanding of eschatological hadiths is often still partial and textual, so that their moral and spiritual messages have not been fully internalized in the lives of Muslims. This study aims to achieve strengthening of faith through the study of eschatological hadiths using the mawḍu‘i (thematic) approach. This study uses a qualitative approach with the application of the thematic hadith method. The formal object of this study is that the mawḍu‘i approach is able to offer solutions by studying all hadiths related to the theme of eschatology systematically and holistically. It can be concluded that in this study, the study of mawḍu‘i helps integrate theological and moral aspects in the eschatological hadith so that the aqidah formed is not only theoretical, but also applicable in the daily lives of Muslims. Thus, the mawḍu‘i approach is an effective method that can strengthen beliefs and build strong faith characters amidst the dynamics of modern life. Therefore, the development of thematic hadith studies is highly recommended to support more meaningful and relevant Islamic education and preaching

Abstract

Mental health is a fundamental aspect in the educational process, especially in forming students who are emotionally and spiritually resilient. This article aims to examine the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad SAW related to peace of mind (sakīnah, ṭuma'nīnah, ṣabr, tawakkal, and ridha) through a thematic study approach (maudu'i), and to analyze their relevance within the framework of contemporary positive psychology. This study is qualitative with a library method, where primary data in the form of authentic hadiths are collected, classified thematically, and analyzed for their meaning in the context of mental health. The results of the study indicate that the values contained in the hadiths have a high degree of conformity with concepts in positive psychology such as resilience, gratitude, mindfulness, and inner peace. These findings provide a foundation for the integration of Islamic values in mental health-based education, especially in the development of Islamic guidance and counseling programs in schools. Thus, this study confirms that the Prophet's hadiths not only have spiritual-theological value, but also contribute applicatively to strengthening students' mental health.

Abstract

The development of an Early Childhood Education (ECE) curriculum based on hadith is a response to the need for a framework that systematically instills moral and spiritual values from an early age. As an authentic source of Islamic teachings, hadith is considered to have great potential in shaping the character of virtuous children through a holistic and contextual educational approach. This study aims to formulate a conceptual foundation for the development of a hadith-based ECE curriculum that is not only theoretically relevant but also practically applicable. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this research identifies and analyzes 30 scholarly articles published between 2020 and 2025 related to early childhood education based on Islamic values in the Southeast Asian context. The results indicate that integrating hadith values such as honesty, compassion, responsibility, and politeness can be effectively implemented through play-based activities, daily routines, and child-friendly digital learning media. Additionally, the roles of teachers, the validity of hadith, and curriculum management are critical factors in the successful implementation of this curriculum. The study concludes that a hadith-based ECE curriculum is both urgent and highly potential in shaping a Qur’anic generation that is spiritually grounded, morally resilient, and adaptable to the demands of the times. Therefore, synergy among educators, educational institutions, and the broader community is essential in realizing an Islamic, practical, and joyful learning environment.
