Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze potential hazards occurring during Informatics subject practicum activities at SMP Harapan Ananda, as well as to formulate risk mitigation strategies based on occupational safety approaches. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method supported by simple quantitative analysis through the HIRADC framework (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Determining Control). Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires involving teachers, laboratory technicians, and students. The results revealed four main categories of potential hazards: electrical, ergonomic, physical-environmental, and digital (cyber hazards). Electrical hazards were identified as the most dominant risks due to non-standard installation and insufficient maintenance, while ergonomic and environmental hazards were related to improper workstation design, limited ventilation, and inadequate lighting. Moreover, digital hazards such as data security threats and inappropriate internet access were also identified as emerging issues in technology-based learning. Risk mitigation efforts were implemented through the hierarchy of control, including elimination, engineering controls, administrative procedures, and safety education. This study contributes to the development of safety management in computer laboratories at secondary schools and promotes a culture of safety and digital literacy within technology-integrated educational environments.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of students’ understanding of the principle of the rule of law in Indonesia among 47 first semester students of the Law Program at Universitas Panca Bhakti. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach, with data collected through a closed ended questionnaire comprising three main indicators: supremacy of law, equality before the law, and fair law enforcement. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques to determine the students’ level of understanding. The results revealed that 30 students (63.83%) demonstrated a high level of understanding of the rule of law, 14 students (29.79%) were in the moderate category, and 3 students (6.38%) were in the low category. These findings confirm that the majority of students have a solid grasp of the fundamental concepts and values of the rule of law, although a small portion still requires improvement through more contextual and applied learning approaches. This study is expected to serve as a reference for law programs in strengthening learning strategies based on constitutional understanding and enhancing legal awareness from the early stages of legal education.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve the reading comprehension skills of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Sindang III Majalengka through the implementation of the Survey, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review (SQ4R) strategy. The study was motivated by the low level of students’ reading comprehension skills, as only a small number of students were able to fully understand the content of the reading materials. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 17 students in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected through teacher and student activity observations, as well as reading comprehension achievement tests. The data were analyzed descriptively by calculating the percentages of activity and learning mastery. The findings revealed a significant improvement. Teacher activity increased from 78.66% (good category) in the first cycle to 99.99% (very good category) in the second cycle. Student activity rose from 69.19% (fairly good) to 93.76% (very good). Similarly, students’ learning mastery improved from 47.05% in the first cycle to 70.58% in the second cycle. Therefore, the SQ4R strategy proved to be effective in enhancing both the learning process and outcomes of reading comprehension.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Web-Based Thesis Repository System for the Information Technology Education Study Program at Universitas PGRI Pontianak. The system was designed to address challenges in manual thesis archiving and limited accessibility for students seeking academic references. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which includes five systematic stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data were collected through expert validation and user feedback. The system provides key features such as user registration, secure login, thesis upload, metadata management, and advanced search functionality. Validation results from two product experts and one content expert indicated that the system achieved an average product score of 3.34 and a content score of 3.38, both categorized as “Good.” The findings demonstrate that the developed repository is feasible, efficient, and effective in managing digital thesis data while enhancing accessibility and transparency in academic information retrieval. This repository supports digital transformation in higher education by promoting sustainable knowledge management and improving research visibility. The system is recommended for broader implementation and future development through integration with institutional databases and cloud-based storage for enhanced scalability and security.

Abstract

The main problem in basic education in Indonesia is the decline in understanding and appreciation of the culture of the archipelago. The tide of globalization, technological developments, and the dominance of foreign popular culture have caused local values to be increasingly marginalized, resulting in students having little knowledge of their national identity. This study aims to analyze trends in research on the culture of the archipelago in Indonesian elementary schools during the period 2020–2025, focusing on dominant themes, keyword connections, and their developmental dynamics. The analysis is expected to identify research gaps and provide recommendations for study directions relevant to culture-based education. The research method uses bibliometric analysis with the help of VOSviewer software. The data is visualized through three approaches, namely network visualization to map the connections between keywords, overlay visualization to see time trends, and density visualization to measure the intensity of research themes. The results show that the main topics include character education, cultural values, local wisdom, strengthening character, and revolution 4. The keyword “cultural” plays an important role, while “local wisdom” and “revolution 4” are increasingly dominant. This study provides a comprehensive map of the direction of research on the culture of the Indonesian archipelago and emphasizes the importance of integrating cultural values into the elementary school curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of artificial intelligence (AI) phenomenon on the creativity and problem-solving skills of vocational teachers in urban and rural areas. Entering the digital age, AI has the potential to become an important instrument in vocational education, both in enhancing personalized learning and bridging the digital divide, especially between urban and rural schools. The population of this study was teachers of SMK Engineering Study Program in Surabaya (urban) and Bojonegoro (rural), with a total sample of 100 teachers, 50 teachers each from both regions. MANOVA was used to analyze the effect of AI as a predictor of creative thinking and problem solving skills, as well as the moderating effect of school environment between urban and rural areas. The results showed that AI had a significant effect on improving creativity and problem-solving ability in vocational school teachers, with notable differences between urban and rural areas. Teachers in urban schools showed greater improvement in creativity, while rural teachers were helped more in problem-solving ability with the help of AI.
