Abstract

Religious moderation is a government program that aims to shape the character of a tolerant society, so that an atmosphere of peaceful and harmonious religious life is built, this is certainly the basis for religious life and a heterogeneous state. Therefore, the role of every element of society becomes urgent in the program of strengthening religious moderation, one of which is the role of ex-terrorist Convicts. This research seeks to see and analyze more deeply the role of the former ex-terrorist Convicts in grounding the attitude of religious moderation as well as socializing the dangers of radicalism in society. By using a qualitative approach, accompanied by interview techniques, observation and documentation, this research will focus on former ex-terrorist Convicts in the city of Surabaya as the object of research. The results showed that the former ex-terrorist Convicts used two ways in strengthening religious moderation, namely first, strengthening the role through his duties as a speaker at social, academic and community forums in collaboration with other parties such as BNPT, BIN and the Ministry of Religion. Second, strengthening the counter-radicalism narrative through books written as a source in understanding the importance of tolerant life in religion.

Abstract

This study aims to redesign the concept of Sharia contract monopoly as a learning tool within the Islamic banking management course, specifically to enhance students' financial literacy. The development method employed is the 4-D model (Four D Models) according to Thiagarajan, encompassing the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate, although this research is focused on the development phase. Qualitative methods, including both secondary and primary data collection, are used in this study. The research results indicate that the redesign of the Sharia contract monopoly as an interactive learning tool within the Islamic banking management course deepens students' understanding of Islamic banks, motivating them to master the operational concepts of Islamic banking through property purchase, leasing, and exchange in a simplified economic system. Furthermore, this redesign also plays a role in honing critical thinking, economic calculations, and operational banking analysis.

Abstract

This article examines the relevance of the thought of Ibn Taimiyyah to the contemporary political landscape of Indonesia during the tenure of President Joko Widodo. Ibn Taimiyyah, a prominent Islamic scholar and philosopher, is known for his extensive works on Islamic jurisprudence, governance, and political theory. This research is important and interesting because Indonesia is a country with a Muslim majority, where the country's political system will be linked with an Islamic perspective. The method used in writing is a qualitative description method with data collection techniques through search engines, namely Google Scholar and Harzing Publish or Perish to obtain literature sources relevant to the research article. The data analysis technique used to be classified based on keyword searches to get the results of a number of journals, documents, and articles related to the topic of the article. The author finds that Ibn Taimiyyah's ideas are relevant to the Indonesian political system during the reign of President Joko Widodo to be analyzed, namely the first, related to the leadership of President Joko Widodo in leading the Indonesian state. Second, related to public services provided by President Joko Widodo for Indonesian citizens. The findings shed light on the ways in which Ibn Taimiyyah's ideas can inform contemporary debates surrounding governance, leadership, and state-society relations in Indonesia. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the intellectual heritage of Islamic political thought and its implications for modern governance systems, particularly within the Indonesian context.

Abstract

Twitter as a virtual public space, provides a place for people to express their perceptions, thoughts, and emotions about certain phenomena that are worthy of discussion in order to generate public sentiment. The case of Johnny Depp suing Amber Heard for domestic violence attracted public attention. The allegation, which was ultimately not proven by the facts of the case after Johnny Depp won the case, generated mixed public reactions on Twitter, which is one of the social media used by the public to share opinions. The research aims to reveal the public sentiment regarding the case of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard in the declaration of victory in the defamation court on Twitter. Based on the influence of patriarchal culture in Indonesia, this public sentiment was generated. This research uses the laxicon method with the VADER sentiment analysis tool to classify the data set obtained by the researchers. The obtained sentiment analysis results were tested for the accuracy of tweet data classification using the confusion table matrix method. Based on the results of sentiment analysis of tweets on Twitter, it was found that the public tended to have high positive sentiment regarding the Johnny Depp case, namely 57% (373 tweets). This was followed by 30% (192 tweets) with negative sentiment and 13% (83 tweets) with neutral sentiment out of a total of 648 tweets. The accuracy value using the confusion matrix calculation was 0.774.

Abstract

Many applications across various industrial sectors express the need for the use of superior materials in performance because they generally involve diverse and challenging environmental conditions. These environmental conditions are often characterized by parameters such as extreme temperatures and pressures, significant temperature gradients, high external stresses, the presence of oxidizing and corrosive environmental species, and the presence of abrasive foreign particles. Some components and machines operating at high temperatures, as seen in coal gasification processes, oil processing, gas turbine engines and power generation, steam turbines, as well as metal processing industries, greatly require materials with exceptional performance. The experimental approach begins with the formation of Fe-Ni superalloy samples using a mini DC electric arc furnace. After a series of tests, the samples are then analyzed and characterized using various methods, including optical microscopy, X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS). The results of this research are expected to provide valuable insights into the consideration of material usage in Steam Power Plants (PLTU) and similar applications.
