Abstract

This study examines how inclusive communication operates within community based disability empowerment. Specifically, it explores how communication adaptation supports access to participation and relates to role changes among members at Roemah Difabel Indonesia in Semarang, Central Java. Employing a qualitative intrinsic case study approach, data was primarily collected through complete interviews with five key informants deeply involved in organizational management, facilitation, mentoring, and community activities. These interviews, supported by participant observation and organizational documentation, were analyzed thematically. The findings reveal that inclusive communication is effectively practiced through simplified language, repeated explanations, written and visual information, direct demonstrations, gestures, sign language, digital media, and tailored mentoring. These specific adaptations helped members understand information clearly and participate actively in learning, community, and productive activities. Empirical evidence shows a distinct contextual pattern where communication adaptation is strongly associated with expanded participation, increased opportunities to use acquired skills, and greater responsibility for several members. The study concludes that disability empowerment programs must integrate communication accessibility with meaningful participation and pathways for members to assume appropriate social roles. While limited by a single case focus and the lack of longitudinal assessment, the findings strongly recommend future comparative studies.

Abstract

This article reports a preliminary needs assessment and evidence-informed design of a community service program to strengthen primary school principals’ capacity to prepare performance-based accreditation evidence in Klari District, Karawang Regency, Indonesia. A descriptive needs-assessment approach was employed through a preliminary survey of 56 school principals, partner consultations, problem mapping, and a focused literature synthesis on accreditation, school leadership, evidence use, and policy implementation. Survey data were summarized using frequencies and percentages, while qualitative information was organized into thematic capacity gaps and translated into an intervention matrix. Forty principals (72%) reported difficulties in preparing accreditation instruments, particularly in interpreting teacher-performance indicators, organizing documentary evidence, and aligning school resources with accreditation standards. Based on these findings, a five-stage intervention was designed, comprising socialization, applied training, technology-supported document preparation, mentoring and evaluation, and sustainability through school working groups. The design includes a 120-hour hybrid module, document templates, checklists, action plans, and rubric-based evaluation. These results represent a diagnosis of needs and a proposed intervention design, not evidence of program effectiveness. Future implementation should assess knowledge gains, document quality, action-plan completion, and three-month sustainability.

Abstract

Professional development for Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers is often constrained by limited opportunities for continuous supervision and by supervision practices that remain formal and appraisal oriented. This study examines the implementation of E-Peer Supervision mentoring as a strategy to strengthen teacher collaboration and professionalism through a flexible, digital, and collegial supervision process. The program involved 30 teachers from 10 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Klari District and was implemented through needs assessment, conceptual and digital-media training, guided peer-supervision practice, reflection, evaluation, and follow-up activities. Participants’ understanding was assessed using pretest and posttest measures covering six aspects of peer supervision. The overall mean score increased from 60.33 to 84.50, representing a gain of 24.17 points. The largest improvements were found in understanding E-Peer Supervision, which increased by 26 points, and in the use of digital media for supervision, which increased by 25 points. The program also encouraged more open professional interaction, constructive feedback, reflective practice, and cross-madrasah collaboration. However, differences in digital competence and teachers’ readiness to give and receive feedback remain important challenges. These findings indicate that E-Peer Supervision can provide a practical and sustainable approach to teacher professional development when supported by madrasah leadership, continuous digital-capacity development, and regular implementation through teacher learning communities.

Abstract

Digital transformation has changed how prospective students and parents access information about educational institutions, making social media an increasingly important channel for school branding and student admissions. This study examines the implementation of digital branding through creative social media content at MTs Miftahul Huda Silir Wates, Kediri. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected from January to June 2026 through direct observation, in-depth interviews with eight purposively selected informants, and documentation of 46 Instagram and TikTok posts. The findings show that visual content and short videos generated higher engagement than long, formal, text-based posts. During the observed period, social media followers increased from 420 to 1,381, while the number of student applicants rose from 68 to 83. These changes indicate a similar upward trend between digital activity and student interest, although they do not establish a causal relationship. The implementation of digital branding remains constrained by limited staff time, content-production skills, and supporting facilities. These findings reinforce strategic value of social media. The study concludes that consistent, relevant, and audience-oriented creative content can strengthen madrasah digital branding, improve public visibility, and support the new student admissions process more effectively.
