Abstract

Abstract The discourse of prophetic interpretations of the Qur’ān, also known as "tafsīr al-nabawī" or "hadith bayān Al-Quran," has long been developed by scholars of the Qur’ān. It is based on the premise that the Prophet’s interpretation is the most authoritative source of Qur’ānic exegesis. The phenomenal work of Khālid al-Bātilī, at-Tafsīr al-Nabawiyy which offers an explicit-textual interpretation (tafsīr al-Qur’ān al-lafzhī al-ṣarih) of the Prophet’s explanations, introduces a new epistemology to the discourse. He divided prophetic interpretations of the Qur'ān into five types based on their function and purpose, namely tafsīr al-mufradāt, ta'yīn al-mubham, takhṣiṣ al-‘amm, taqyīd al-muṭlaq and bayān al-mujmal. Tafsīr al-mufradāt is defined as Prophetic interpretations that involve Prophet's reciting of a verse along with its explanations. These classifications are known as al-Bātilī’s recent contributions to uṣūl at-tafsīr. His exegetical reasoning is classified as bayānī while positioning the triadic role of reason-context-text in a structural paradigm. Al-Bātilī's concern about giving no social criticism in his Al-Tafsīr al-Nabawiyy indicates two facets; on one hand, his documentation of the Prophet’s explicit-textual interpretation acts as the “sacred”, final, and authoritative source of Islamic Sharia and law, while on the other hand, over his 1000 pages of Qur’ān exegesis is bound to the seventh century Arabic sociocultural context without any chance of contextualization or re-interpretation upon Qur’ānic verses Abtrak Wacana tentang interpretasi profetik atas Al-Qur'an, atau yang dikenal sebagai "tafsir nabawi" atau "hadis penjelas Al-Qur’an," telah lama dikembangkan para ulama Al-Quran. Asumsi dasar dari wacana tersebut yakni bahwa tafsir profetik adalah produk tafsir yang paling otoritatif, baik penafsiran eksplisit Nabi atas ayat Al-Qur’an (tafsīr al-Qur’ān al-lafzhī al-ṣarih) maupun tafsiran-tafsiran yang bersifat implisit dan relatif. Karya fenomenal Khālid al-Bātilī, al-Tafsīr al-Nabawiyy, yang menawarkan interpretasi teks eksplisit dari penjelasan Nabi, memperkenalkan paradigma baru bagi wacana tersebut. al-Bātilī membagi interpretasi profetik tentang Al-Qur'an menjadi lima tipe berdasarkan fungsi dan tujuannya, yaitu tafsīr al-mufradāt, ta'yīn al-mubham, takhṣiṣ al-‘amm, taqyīd al-muṭlaq, dan bayān al-mujmal. Tafsīr al-mufradāt dapat diterjemahkan sebagai produk tafsir profetik yang melibatkan catatan riwayat Nabi membacakan suatu ayat Al-Qur'an dan menafsirkannya. Klasifikasi tafsīr al-mufradat al-lafẓī al-ṣāriḥ adalah tawaran epistemologi baru al-Bātilī dalam studi uṣūl at-tafsīr. Logika interpretasi al-Bātilī diklasifikasikan sebagai nalar bayānī sambil menempatkan peran triadis logika-konteks-teks dalam paradigma struktural. Keputusannya untuk tidak mencantumkan konteks sosial di al-Tafsīr al-Nabawiyy menunjukkan dua aspek; dokumentasi Al-Bātilī terhadap tafsiran Nabi Muhammad secara eksplisit-tekstual, di satu sisi, berfungsi untuk menyediakan sumber syariat dan hukum Islam yang "sakral", mutlak, dan otoritatif, sementara di sisi lain, lebih dari 1000 halaman tafsirnya terikat pada konteks masyarakat Arab abad ketujuh tanpa peluang untuk kontekstualisasi dan interpretasi ulang terhadap Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

The current surge in the practice of begging can be attributed to the ever-expanding influence of technology. Technological advancements, constantly evolving and facilitating communication and interactions, have provided people with unprecedented convenience. However, the misuse of technology, particularly through social media platforms, has led to the emergence of a concerning trend –the phenomenon of online begging. While technology's presence was anticipated to yield positive outcomes, its misapplication has given rise to this issue. Employing a qualitative approach and drawing from various literature sources, this discourse delves into the implications of social media on the upsurge of begging, examining it from both a general perspective and an Islamic standpoint. Islamic scriptures, notably the Qur'an, contain relevant verses that address the matter of online begging. These verses include Q.S Adz-Dzariyat verse 19, Al-Ma'arij verses 24-25, Ad-Dhuha verse 10, and Al-Hujurat verse 11. Islamic scholars express disapproval of begging, advocating that those possessing physical capability should seek alternative means of employment instead.

Abstract

Fide’ merupakan ritual pengobatan dengan membacakan ayat-ayat al-Qur’an oleh komunitas Madura di kampung Parit Walkijah, Kalimantan Barat. Fide’ dipercaya dapat dijadikan sebagai penebusan dosa melalui perantara ayam atau kambing dengan ketentuan-ketentuan tertentu. Dalam pelaksanaannya melibatkan salah satu surat dalam al-Qur’an yaitu al-Quraisy. Tulisan ini mengekplorasi bagaimana fungsi performatif surat al-Quraisy dalam pengobatan Fide’ dengan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Sebagai bentuk penelitian lapangan berupa living qur’an maka tulisan ini mendasarkan observasi dan wawancara sebagai sumber utama dalam memperoleh data. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teori resepsi Ahmad Rafiq yang menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa surah al-Quraisy difungsikan oleh masyarakat madura di kampung parit Waklijah sebagai pengobatan dan penyelesaian masalah terkait problem-problem sosial, penyakit fisik dan nonfisik, bahkan permasalahan yang berada di luar nalar manusia dapat diselesaikan dengan Fide’.

Abstract

This research reveals that the tradition of reading (reciting) Surah Yasin and Surah Al-Kahf in the Daar Al-Muttaqin Islamic Boarding School is one of the various phenomena of Islamic anthropology. Researchers try to link the scientific study of the Qur'an and interpretation with the scientific discipline of anthropology. The focus of this research is how the traditions that the author mentioned earlier are studied using anthropological and phenomenological approaches. Researchers are trying to uncover what has become a tradition at the Daar Al-Muttaqin Islamic boarding school, especially in reciting surah Yasin and surah al-Kahf. This research is qualitative and the researchers used the interview method to collect existing data sources in the field. In the interview process that was conducted, the researcher found that the reading tradition is a mantra from the caretaker or manager of the cottage on the virtues that exist in surah Yasin and surah al-Kahf. This is what the researcher will later study further about the virtues that exist in surah Yasin and surah al-Kahf with the disciplines of the Qur'an and interpretation and relate them to the phenomenon of the tradition of reciting these surahs using anthropological disciplines.

Abstract

In general, the Qur'an explains the practices of utilizing marine areas by means of fishing, collecting pearls, trading, and transportation in Surah Al-Nahl 14. When interpreting this verse, scholars do not impose restrictions on the methods of benefiting from the sea (variability). However, the aspect of preservation from harm must still be fulfilled. Coastal reclamation projects often lead to electoral conflicts, including their impacts on the damage to marine ecosystems and coastal areas. The objective of this research is to understand the Qur'an's response to coastal reclamation practices and the ideal methods for benefiting from the sea. This type of research is a qualitative literature study using the Maqashidi Tafsir method. This methodological approach is suitable because it can explore the dimensions of the ghayah (purpose) and wasilah (means) of specific themes in the Qur'an, making it relevant to address current issues. The research results in the perspective that the Maqashid of Surah Al-Nahl 14 align with coastal reclamation practices but emphasize the need to mitigate their impact to prevent harm to marine and coastal ecosystems. The utilization of the sea is also considered from a protective (min haits al-adam) and productive (min haits al-wujud) perspective.

Abstract

This study departs from the interpretation of M. Quraish Shihab on poverty verses. as an effort to verify and validate the truth of the interpretation of poverty in Tafsir Al-Misbah, this study seeks to review the epistemological aspects of Quraish Shihab's interpretation in Tafsir Al-Misbah on poverty verses. This study can be classified as a qualitative study. This research is included in descriptive-analytical research. Called descriptive because this study will review and analyze the Quraish Shihab Interpretation of the verses of Poverty in Tafsir Al-Misbah. The results of this study are, First, the source of interpretation, the interpretation set forth in Tafsir Al-Misbah, especially with regard to the verses of Shikinan in the Qur 'an, can not be separated from the principles that prioritize Sahihic histories and the context of the relationship between one verse and another (read : munasabatul ayat), as well as how the background of the verse then pours out the meaning that is relevant to the context today. Second, Methodology of interpretation, Tafsir Al-Misbah as a contemporary tafsir work tends to use analytic methodology (tahlily) in revealing the message and meaning contained in a verse. More specifically in the context of the poverty verses of Quraish Shihab as a mufassir it is very visible how the interpretive effort is very thick with cultural and societal literary styles (al-adabi al-ijtima 'i), and the third aspect is the validity of interpretation, with reference to several aspects, coherence, correspondence, and pragmatism. That M. Quraish Shihab's interpretation of the scriptures is very appropriate and has a strong relevance to the phenomenon of poverty that occurs, besides that the interpretation presented is not only pouring meaning in the Qur'an but also presents a problem solver to the phenomenon and reality that occurs. When drawn in the context of M. 's interpretation. Quraish Shihab in the tafsir ofAl-Misbah which specifically discusses the term poverty in the Qur'an can be seen how the consistency of M. Quraish Shihab in interpreting the poorest and his efforts to devise solutions to these realities.

Abstract

The truth of the Qur’an is not only text but also context. Recently, many scientific researchers have tried to explore the truth of the Qur’an through a scientific approach as well. Tafsir scholars also do not miss out on contributing interpretations using a logical approach. There are still many orientalists or people who do not believe in the Qur'an who say that the Qur'an cannot be verified as scientific. This is interesting, because the issue of the originality of the Qur’an from time to time has always been a problem. The Qur'an talks about science, providing information that can be used as a reference for truth. Various methods of interpretation have been created to make it easier to understand verse by verse. One that is commonly used in interpretation is the bil al-ra'yi method, which is then a method that has similarities with the theory of logical positivism. This research uses the library research method by referring to tafsir books. Through the Logical Positivism method developed by philosophers, the truth of the Qur’an can increasingly be proven because this theory was created to provide an argument for truth through the principle of verification. In this research, the researcher only mentioned three of several verses from the Qur’an about science which were measured by Logical Positivism, namely about the creation of humans, the benefits of honey and sea water meeting fresh water.

Abstract

Differences in views regarding the originality of the Qur’an between classical and contemporary orientalists are increasingly problematic. Library research data collection techniques. The collected data are classified and analyzed using Emmanuel Kant’s epistimological theory. The data sources used consisted of primary sources obtained from several orientalists and secondary sources obtained from several previous studies. The result of this studi, first, teh differences in the view of the orientalists were influenced by three things, namely the main source, methodology, and the validity of the truth used to measure originality of the Qur’an. Second, classical orientalists in their studies tend to be theological in nature, while contemporary orientalists tend to be sociological, anthropological, and do not involve the realm of theology, so the results are more objective. Thrid, the similarity of some contents of the Qur’an is considered normal because the Qur’an is affirmative and complements existing books.

Abstract

Communication is the process of delivering messages by communicators to communicators through messages (media). In everyday life, humans as social creatures certainly cannot be separated from the name communication. whether at work, in the market, at school, or even when alone, humans need communication with themselves. Communication can occur anywhere, including in the family environment. Good communication is needed between parents and their children so that family relationships become closer, and the teaching and learning process for children also runs well. The Qur'an as a source of knowledge accommodates all kinds of aspects, including parents' communication to their children, one of which is found in Q.S. Luqman verses 13-17. This research is included in research with a qualitative approach. There are many types of qualitative research. The type of qualitative research used in research is Library research or commonly called library studies. Based on the results of research on communication carried out by parents to their children based on Q.S. Luqman verses 13-17, the author can conclude that the advice conveyed by Luqman to his children is as follows (1) Not to associate partners with Allah SWT because Allah knows everything even if it is hidden, and in this verse Allah hints through Luqman that parents must be gentle with their children if they want to advise them (2) Obey and respect both parents, (3) Doing things that are hidden, and (4) Doing things that are hidden. Komunikasi adalah proses penyampaian pesan oleh komunikator kepada komunikan melalui pesan (media). Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, manusia sebagai makhluk sosial tentunya tidak bisa lepas dari yang namanya berkomunikasi. baik di tempat kerja, di pasar, di sekolah, bahkan ketika sendiri manusia membutuhkan komunikasi terhadap diri sendiri. Komunikasi bisa terjadi dimana saja termasuk di lingkungan keluarga. Dibutuhkan komunikasi yang baik antara orang tua kepada anaknya agar hubungan keluarga menjadi semakin erat, dan proses ajar mengajar pada anak juga berjalan baik. Al-Qur''an sebagai sumber ilmu menampung segala macam aspek termasuk komunikasi orang tua kepada ananknya salah satunya terdapat di Q.S. Luqman ayat 13-17.Penelitian ini termasuk kedalam penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Ada banyak jenis penelitian kualitatif. Jenis penelitian kualitatif yang dipakai dalam penelitian adalah Library research atau biasa disebut studi keperpustakaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian mengenai komunikasi yang dilakukan orang tua kepada anaknya berdasarkan Q.S. Luqman 13-17, maka dapat penulis simpulkan bahwa nasehat yang disampaikan Luqman kepada anak-anaknya adalah sebagai berikut (1) Tidak mempersekutukan Allah SWT karena Allah Mengetahui segalanya sekalipun hal yang tersembunyi, dan diayat ini Allah mengisyaratkan lewat Luqman bahwasannya orang tua harus bersikap lemah lembut kepada anaknya bila ia ingin menasehatinya (2)Taat dan hormat kepada kedua orang tua, (3) Melakukan hal-hal yang baik serta beramal sholeh,(5) Menunaikan sholat serta melaksanakan amar ma’ruf nahi mungkar, dipoin ini juga mengisyaratkan bagi orang tua hendaknya memanggil anak dengan panggilan yang lembut dan penuh kasih sayang.

Abstract

This research aims to critique the theory proposed by Arthur Jeffery regarding the history of the collection and standardization of the readings of the Qur’an. The critique is based on the thoughts of Muslim scholars in the fields of history, ‘Ulumul Qur’an and tafsir. This research employs a qualitative approach in the form of a literature review, utilizing sources from libraries to collect data, particularly writings by Arthur Jeffery and books or texts that contain the history of the Qur’an, which are then analyzed using descriptive analysis. This research concludes that Arthur Jeffery’s theory on the history of the collection and standardization of the readings of the Qur'an is only found in two of his writings, namely The Qur’an as Scripture and Materials for The History of The Text of The Qur’an. Arthur’s theory, which was also articulated by earlier orientalists, is proven to be weak and contrary to the views of muslim scholars. The flaws in Arthur’s theory are attributed to inaccurate sources and a lack of Islamic perspective as well as historical references to the Qur’an from muslim scholars. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan kritik terhadap teori yang dikemukakan oleh Arthur Jeffery mengenai sejarah penghimpunan dan penyeragaman bacaan Al-Qur’an. Kritik yang diberikan berlandaskan dari pemikiran para cendekiawan muslim di bidang sejarah,‘Ulumul Qur’an dan tafsir. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif bersifat kajian pustaka dengan memanfaatkan sumber-sumber dari perpustakaan untuk mengumpulkan data, terutama tulisan Arthur Jeffery dan buku atau kitab yang memuat kesejarahan Al-Qur’an yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa teori Arthur Jeffery tentang sejarah pengumpulan dan penyeragaman bacaan Al-Qur’an hanya ditemukan pada dua tulisannya, yaitu The Qur’an as Scripture dan Materials for The History of The Text of The Qur’an. Teori Arthur yang juga diutarakan oleh orientalis sebelumnya terbukti lemah dan bertentangan dengan pandangan cendekiawan Muslim. Kesalahan teori Arthur disebabkan oleh sumber yang tidak akurat dan kurangnya perspektif Islam serta referensi kesejarahan Al-Qur’an dari cendekiawan muslim.
