Jurnal Ilmiah Kesehatan Sandi Husada publishes research articles, conceptual articles, and field study reports (Focus and Scope). This journal article is published twice a year, in June and December, and is published by the Nursing Academy/Polytechnic Sandi Karsa Research and Community Service Institute, Makassar, Indonesia. Jurnal Ilmiah Kesehatan Sandi Husada, first published in 2013, presents articles based on research in health studies. The objective of the journal is to provide a forum for lecturers, researchers, students, and practitioners to present their ideas, concepts, and new theories in health and to disseminate theory, research, and teaching reviews to the academic community of health studies in Indonesia and abroad. This journal has SINTA 5 accreditation from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, indexed by DOAJ, Ebsco.

Abstract

Background: Atopic dermatitis is a chronic recurrent skin inflammation, characterized by itching, appearing at certain predilection sites, and associated with other atopic diseases. Its prevalence in Indonesia tends to increase every year. Objective: Implementing evidence-based family medicine services for patients by identifying risk factors, and clinical problems, and managing patients with a patient-centered and family-focused approach. Method: This case report obtained primary data through autoanamnesis, also anamnesis, physical examination, and home visits. A holistic diagnostic assessment is carried out quantitatively and qualitatively. Result: The patient is a 69-year-old female with atopic dermatitis and asthma. She thought that her skin condition would improve by scratching and applying ointment. She was worried that the itching would get worse and disturb her sleep. She hopes her skin condition can improve. Patients and families had atopic history, advanced age, lack of knowledge about the disease, and exposure to allergens. Conclusion: Holistic diagnostic and comprehensive management of this patient was based on the latest theory and research. During the evaluation, there was a clinical improvement in the patient, an increase in knowledge, and a change in the behavior of the patient and family

Abstract

Introduction: Psychosprituals are the integrative energy nurses need to serve patients. An empathetic nurse is a nurse who can develop psycho-spirituality, which is a need that must be met. Objective: To get a clear picture of nurses in psychospiritual aspects in several private hospitals in South Sulawesi. Method: This study is comparative analytical research with a cross-sectional multisite study approach. Results: showed that the psychospiritual level of nurses at several private hospitals in Makassar city was good. ASPIRES is categorized as good if you get a score>70; the category is sufficient if you get a score of 35–70 and categorized as less if the value is <35. Conclusion: There are significant psychospiritual differences in nurses based on demographic characteristics, namely gender, age, level of education, and length of service. It can be used as information material for hospitals to improve the quality of services by paying attention to psychospiritual aspects through programs offered by researchers

Abstract

Introduction; Cholesterol is a metabolite of fat that contains sterol compounds and is primarily concentrated in cell membranes in the body and the circulatory system. Purpose; To determine the total cholesterol level in homemakers (IRT) based on the age range category of 25-80 years and the relationship between increasing total cholesterol levels with the age of IRT. Method; The research method is descriptive-analytical with a cross-sectional approach, with a total sample of 30 and the sampling technique is purposive sampling. Data on the relationship between total cholesterol levels and age were statistically analyzed by bivariate analysis with the Pearson correlation index on SPSS software. Results; Total of 30 IR respondents, the average cholesterol level was 198.07 mg/dL, and the average age was 47.87 years. 50% of respondents have good cholesterol levels, 26.67% in the border category, and 23.33% in the danger category, with the highest cholesterol levels being 297 mg/dL and the lowest being 130 mg/dL. Conclusion; Total cholesterol levels in IRT in Tanjung are dominated by women over 45 years, with cholesterol levels ranging from 130 to 300 mg/dL, and there is a strong relationship between increased cholesterol levels in the body and rising age

Abstract

Introduction: Dysmenorrhea results from an excessive amount of prostaglandins. The chemical content of gingerol in red ginger can block prostaglandins to reduce pain at the time of menstruation. Aims: To analyze the effectiveness of giving red ginger water in reducing the intensity of dysmenorrhea pain in young women. Metode: Quantitative research method- pre-experiment design, One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The sample uses a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling method. The instrument uses a Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) questionnaire. Meanwhile, data analysis used the Wilcoxon test with a confidence level of α = 0.05. Results: Showed that there was effectiveness between red ginger water and dysmenorrhoea where p-value = 0.0001. Conclusion: There is effectiveness between red ginger water and dysmenorrhoea. It is suggested that the findings of this study can be a solution to overcoming dysmenorrhoea by using a type of non-pharmacological therapy, namely the administration of red ginger water.

Abstract

Introduction: Building health is a way to increase awareness, willingness, and ability to live a healthy life for everyone so that an optimal level of public health can be achieved. Objective: Knowing the influence of knowledge levels on high-risk pregnant women through soft skill competence and the performance of health workers. Method: Quantitative research conducted. The study population was the entire pregnant woman. The sampling technique is simple random sampling with the slovin formula so that the sample of this study is 126 people. Data collection techniques involve observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis techniques use path analysis. Results: Show that high-risk pregnancies can be handled with better knowledge, soft skill competence, and health workers' performance. The story of knowledge is a variable that has a dominant influence on high-risk pregnancies, which is indicated by the high advocacy and empowerment carried out by health workers in supporting the quality of pregnancy. Conclusion: High-risk pregnancies can be handled with better knowledge, soft skill competence, and health workers' performance. However, the competence of soft skills and the implementation of health workers contribute to improving pregnancy quality

Abstract

Introduction: Gout arthritis is a metabolic bone disorder caused by the abnormal metabolism of purines characterized by increased levels of uric acid in the blood, causing pain in the local supply. One of the therapies that can be used to reduce the scale of pain in Gout arthritis patients is warm water compresses. Objective: Analyze the effect of warm water compresses on the scale of pain in Gout arthritis patients. Method: Descriptive design with a case study approach. Results showed a difference in the pain scale before and after warm water administration compresses in Gout Arthritis patients. Conclusion: Warm water compresses are effective for lowering the scale of pain in patients with Gout arthritis because they can reduce muscle spasms, stimulate pain, cause vasodilation, and increase blood flow. Blood vessels will dilate so that it improves blood circulation in these tissues

Abstract

Introduction: Indonesian teenagers seem to be more tolerant of premarital sexual lifestyles or promiscuous sex. Many factors influence this behavior, one of which is the attitude and knowledge about the free sex itself. This knowledge and attitude can be improved by providing counseling or health education. Purpose: Knowing the effect of health education on adolescents' knowledge and attitudes about promiscuous sex. Method: Pre-Experimental type of research with the research design is One Group pre-test post-test design. The sample of this study included 84 students at SMK Negeri 6 Makassar using Cluster Sampling as a sampling technique for the Research Instrument using a questionnaire. The data analysis used is bivariate analysis, Paired Sample T test. Results: Showed that there was an increase in the number of respondents who had good knowledge between before and after health education, namely an average change of 7,131 (± 3,229) by 98.8% with a p value of 0.000. And there was an increase in the number of respondents who had a good attitude between before and after health education, namely an average change of 3,917 (± 3,860) by 100% with a p value of 0.000. Conclusion: That there is an influence of health education on students' knowledge and attitudes (i) about promiscuous sex.

Abstract

Introduction: The Occupational Health and Safety Management System is part of the company's general risk management system, which includes policies and commitments, planning, implementation, measurement and evaluation. Objectives: To determine the performance of the occupational health and safety management system applied at PT. Is Bosowa Concrete Indonesia by Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 50 of 2012. Methods: This type of research is qualitative, with a phenomenological approach with nine informants. Results: Indicates that the implementation of SMK3 has been carried out based on PP No. 50 of 2012, which covers policies and commitments, planning, implementation, measurement and evaluation. Conclusion: In implementing SMK3, there are still obstacles starting with the procurement of PPE, which is often late, the low culture of K3 discipline and the weak sanctions given to workers who violate the provisions. And the lack of competent human resources makes monitoring such a large work area impossible to do simultaneously.

Abstract

Introduction: Diarrhea is one of the most common causes of child morbidity and mortality, exacerbated by inadequate water, sanitation and hygiene services, and malnutrition, especially in developing countries. Purpose: Knowing the participation of the community in the incidence of diarrhea. Methods: Quantitative research design using an observational analytical approach with Cross-Sectional. The total sample of 69 people, the collection of in-depth interview data, observation, and document review, were analyzed univariately and bivariate with the help of SPSS version 21. Results: This shows that the chi-square statistical test obtained a p-value = 0.000 < 0.05 for the role of society. Conclusion: There is a relationship between the part of society with the incidence of diarrhea. Therefore, in conducting socialization and education or counseling about the incidence of diarrhea to the entire community by collaborating with health workers to increase the community's active role in health.

Abstract

Introduction: Mirror syndrome is a rare prenatal clinical condition associated with significant fetal death and maternal morbidity. Objective: To Know more about Mirror Syndrome comprehensively. Methods: The literature review study combines the essence of several relevant sources from national and international sources. Results: Mirror syndrome is defined by the presence of a clinical trial that includes fetal hydrops, placental hydrops, and maternal oedema. Several fetoplacental diseases are also associated with MS, which can be classified into diverse groups based on: different etiologies. Conclusion: There are many things still unknown about Mirror Syndrome. Early diagnosis is essential to determine the etiology of Mirror Syndrome and the appropriate treatment according to its type.
