Abstract

Islamic science and understanding, the concept of ru'yat al-Hilal is a complex and interesting discussion. Muslims often argue about the interpretation and application of ru'yat al-Hilal. Many scholars and scholars have different views. In-depth study of this concept is relevant and important. An  The problem raised in this study is how M. Quraish Shihab's interpretation of Ru'yat al-Hilal in QS. al-Baqarah and how the influence of M. Quraish Shihab's interpretation of Ru'yat al-Hilal on the current context. The purpose of this study is to find out M. Quraish Shihab's interpretation of Ru'yat al-Hilal in QS. al-Baqarah and to find out the influence of M. Quraish Shihab's interpretation of Ru'yat al-Hilal on the current context. The approach in this research is a qualitative type of literature (Library research), This involves data documentation activities through literature studies, especially related to the mufassir's views on ru'yat al-Hilal. The results of this study indicate that M. Quraish Shihab explained two important aspects related to ru'yat al-hilal in the verse, the first is that if someone has seen the moon with the naked eye, it is sufficient as a marker of the beginning of worship time. The second aspect he reveals is that the crescent moon acts as a timepiece both for humans and as an indication of the beginning of the time for the Hajj pilgrimage, because the time of worship is very important for Muslims.  These interpretations are very influential in determining the beginning of Ramadan, as is the case with the Muhammadiyah and NU (Nahdhatul Ulama) organizations to this day.

Abstract

The science of hadith is not just a science of hearing and writing, but also includes how to research a truth and look for the hidden meaning of the text (Matan), the path of its transmission (Sanad), evidence that supports its truth, guarding against deviations and errors. . Hadith History is a science that examines how the Hadith of Rasulullah SAW is connected or connected in terms of its truth and weakness, the condition of its narrators in Dhabt and how the transmission path is connected or not. Dirayah is studying the rules that tell the situation of the narrators and what they narrate. This opinion is in accordance with the discussion intended in this science, namely knowing the condition of the narrators and their narration, whether they are accepted or rejected. Regarding the writing of Hadith during the time of the Prophet, there are several Hadith spread among the Companions of Radiyallahu 'anhum which state that they were prohibited from writing Nabawi Hadith. At that time, and at the time of their companions, they searched for and reviewed the path of Hadith transmission. Se, what was the condition of the narrators? Are the Peras in it Tsiqqoh (trusted/honest) or vice versa.

The method used in this study is library research. Researchers refer to literature studies such as books and journals related to the issue taken, namely the green economy in the perspective of the Qur'an. The results of the study show that the concept of a green economy also supports global sustainability goals, as stated in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), while also containing spiritual and ethical values that are important for increasing public awareness. With a holistic approach that combines Islamic values, modern technology, and economic strategy, Indonesia has a great opportunity to lead the transition to equitable low-carbon development, while also being an example for the world in efforts to preserve the earth in accordance with religious and universal values.

Abstract

This paper critically examines Caner Taslaman’s argument that the Qur’ān is silent on Darwinian evolution and that Muslims can remain theologically neutral regarding human evolution. Taslaman contends that Ādam’s creation was a gradual process and that evolution does not conflict with Islamic teachings. In his chapter“Can a Muslim be an Evolutionist?” he claims that the creation of Ādam was ‘processive’, not instantaneous. The author further argues that Muslims should not have any reason to refute Darwinian evolution because the Qur’ān itself is silent about it. In contrast, this study argues that the concept of evolutionary common ancestry, especially human descent from animals, contradicts explicit Qur’ānic Āyāt, authentic Ḥadīth, and Ijmāʿ (unanimous scholarly consensus). Drawing upon classical and modern Qur’ānic Tafsīr, Ḥadīth interpretations, and scientific critiques of Darwinian gradualism, the paper affirms Ādam’s unique, instantaneous creation. It further highlights the theological and moral ramifications of rejecting this doctrine within Islam.
