Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence customer satisfaction in choosing a minimarket in North Sipara District. Customer satisfaction is an important element in maintaining competitive advantage, especially in the highly competitive retail sector. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 200 respondents who are minimarket customers in the region. The variables analyzed include service quality, price, convenience, and product availability. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression techniques to determine the effect of each variable on customer satisfaction. The results showed that service quality and convenience have a significant influence on customer satisfaction. Meanwhile, price and product availability have a lower influence than the other two variables. The discussion of these results indicates that customers value a comfortable shopping experience and good service more than price. Based on these findings, it is recommended that minimarket managers in North Sipara Sub-district focus more on improving service quality and improving facilities that support customer convenience. The conclusion is that customer satisfaction is not only determined by price and product availability, but also by the overall shopping experience. The findings provide practical implications for minimarket management in the area, namely the importance of service strategies that focus on convenience and quality. Thus, this study contributes to the development of retail management, particularly in the context of minimarkets in developing rural areas.

Abstract

Economic inequality is a significant challenge for developing countries, hampering inclusive growth and sustainability. This study aims to analyze the role of fiscal policy in addressing economic inequality, focusing on income redistribution through progressive taxation, public spending, and social transfers. The research method used is a quantitative approach with secondary data from national and global economic reports, as well as regression statistical analysis to evaluate the relationship between fiscal policy and inequality indicators, such as the Gini Index and absolute poverty. The results show that fiscal policies, especially in the form of progressive taxation and targeted social spending, have a positive impact on reducing economic inequality in developing countries. However, the effectiveness of these policies varies among the countries studied, depending on the level of corruption, the efficiency of fiscal administration, and the prioritization of public spending. Some countries with high levels of inequality show that inefficient public spending and budget leakages exacerbate inequality. The discussion highlights the importance of improving fiscal governance and strengthening tax administration capacity to enhance the redistributive impact of fiscal policy. In addition, fiscal policy needs to be tailored to the local context to ensure social justice and equal economic opportunity. In conclusion, effectively designed fiscal policies can play an important role in reducing economic inequality in developing countries. However, the success of these policies depends on good management and political commitment to sustainably improve resource distribution.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze tax revenue optimization strategies in the informal economy sector in Indonesia, which is one of the largest sectors but has not been fully exploited in national tax revenue. In this research, a qualitative approach is used with a case study method on small and medium enterprises operating in the informal sector. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and literature studies related to taxation policies and characteristics of the informal economy sector. The results show that the main obstacles to tax revenue in this sector are low tax awareness, lack of understanding of taxation, and limited infrastructure and accessibility of tax services among informal economy actors. The discussion in this study highlights the need for innovative strategies such as continuous improvement of tax education, simplification of tax administration procedures, and the application of digital technology to expand the informal sector taxpayer base. In addition, the utilization of tax incentives is considered capable of encouraging more active participation of informal sector actors in tax compliance. The conclusion of this study is that optimizing tax revenue in the informal economy sector requires a holistic approach that combines education, technology, and appropriate incentive policies. With the right strategy, the informal economy sector can become a significant contributor to increasing national tax revenue, while encouraging the integration of informal economic actors into the formal economic system. This study recommends collaboration between the government and educational institutions to create effective tax literacy programs and the development of user-friendly digital applications for informal businesses.

Abstract

Local economic development is an important aspect in the context of sustainability, where the role of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has great potential to make a significant contribution. CSR not only plays a role in fulfilling corporate social responsibility, but also serves as a catalyst for sustainable economic growth. This paper analyzes the role of CSR in the context of local economic development, focusing on its practical implementation and its impact on communities and the environment. Through an in-depth approach to case studies and related literature, this research explores CSR strategies that are effective in integrating local economic needs with sustainable practices. The results of the analysis show that the integration of CSR in local economic development not only strengthens the relationship between companies and communities, but also increases local capacity to be economically and environmentally sustainable. The implications of this research provide a deeper understanding of how CSR can play a role in supporting sustainable local economic development in the future.

Abstract

Digital transformation driven by the Industrial Revolution 4.0 has changed the way MSMEs in Indonesia operate and compete in the market. The application of technologies such as e-commerce, big data, and analytics enables MSMEs to improve operational efficiency as well as expand their market reach. This research discusses the impact of the digital economy on MSME growth, as well as the challenges faced, such as a lack of digital literacy and limited infrastructure in rural areas. On the other hand, the Indonesian government has been working to encourage digital transformation through programs such as the National Movement for MSMEs to Go Digital, which provides access to training and technology support. In addition, collaboration between the public and private sectors plays an important role in accelerating technology adoption by MSMEs. The findings show that while the digitalization of MSMEs offers great opportunities to improve productivity and competitiveness, the adoption of these technologies is still constrained by various internal and external factors. Therefore, a holistic and collaborative approach is needed to support MSMEs in the digital transformation process. With comprehensive support, MSMEs are expected to contribute more significantly to the national economy and open up access to global markets. This conclusion shows the importance of a sustainable strategy to facilitate and support the adoption of digitalization in the MSME sector in Indonesia in order to realize inclusive and sustainable economic development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of physical evidence, service quality, and perceived atmosphere on return visit intentions at Sorake Beach Walk. The research method used is a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 200 respondents who have visited the destination. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques to determine the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The results showed that the three factors had a significant effect on return visit intentions. Physical evidence has the most dominant influence, followed by service quality and perceived atmosphere. Adequate facilities, responsive service, and a supportive atmosphere overall create a positive experience for visitors, which in turn increases their intention to return. The conclusion of this study is that Sorake Beach Walk managers should pay attention and improve aspects of physical evidence, service quality, and perceived atmosphere holistically to maintain visitor loyalty and increase destination attractiveness.

Abstract

Social media has emerged as one of the most effective marketing tools for developing businesses, especially in the micro, small and medium enterprise (UMKM) sector.  The aim of this research is to analyze the impact of social media content owned by UMKM on consumer purchasing intentions in Gunungsitoli. This study uses a qualitative approach and interview methods to research UMKM owners and consumers in Gunungsitoli. The findings of this study indicate that social media content quality, engagement, and posting consistency are critical to driving consumer buying habits. This study provides UMKM in Gunungsitoli with a better understanding of consumer behavior in the digital era.

Abstract

Quality in the production of goods and services is an important element that affects customer satisfaction and the competitiveness of the company. In the context of the production of goods, quality is determined by factors such as the selection of raw materials, efficient production processes, and strict quality control. Meanwhile, in the production of services, quality is more related to customer perceptions of the services provided, which are influenced by the expertise of the workforce, the service process, and the overall customer experience. Factors that affect quality include available resources, managerial skills, technology, and company culture. To maintain and improve quality, companies need to implement a quality management system, provide continuous training to employees, and always focus on continuous improvement. With the right strategy, companies can ensure high quality, which ultimately supports customer satisfaction and business sustainability.

Abstract

Emotional intelligence has a substantial impact in management decision making, particularly at the individual and the organizational levels. This research aims to determine the importance of emotional intelligence in management decision making. Through a comprehensive literature review, this research will identify how emotional intelligence influences the decision-making process. Using a qualitative method, this examination gathers data from several studies in the few decades. Data sources in this research are obtained from journal articles, books, research reports and other scientific sources relevant to the research topic. The research results found that there are 4 roles of emotional intelligence in decision-making management, namely, integrity, strategic thinking, individual existence, and effective decisions. By managing emotions, both in oneself and in others, individuals can make better, wiser and more effective decisions that ultimately contribute to success. Controlling emotions in decision-making management does not mean suppressing or ignoring emotions, but rather understanding and managing them in a constructive way.

Abstract

Financial literacy plays an important role in helping individuals and families manage finances wisely, including in debt management. This study aims to analyze the impact of financial literacy on household debt management. Based on a literature review of various studies in the last five years, it is found that good financial literacy contributes to more effective financial decision-making, avoidance of excessive debt, and improved household welfare. Financial literacy not only influences the way households budget, but also provides a better understanding of the risks and benefits of using debt. As such, individuals with high levels of financial literacy tend to have better control over their finances and are able to manage debt more productively. The article draws on ten relevant academic journals to substantiate these findings and recommends the importance of ongoing financial education programs.
