Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the global economic slowdown on Indonesia’s export performance from a macroeconomic perspective. Global uncertainty caused by inflation, geopolitical conflicts, supply chain disruptions, and high interest rate policies has weakened international trade activities and reduced demand for exports from developing countries, including Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method by examining scientific journals, government publications, and reports from international institutions published within the last five years. The analysis process was carried out through the identification of global economic trends, examination of Indonesia’s export performance, and interpretation of the implications of export slowdown on national economic stability. The results indicate that the global economic slowdown has reduced demand for Indonesia’s export commodities, especially in mining, plantation, and manufacturing sectors. In addition, fluctuations in commodity prices, exchange rate instability, and increasing trade protectionism have become major challenges for Indonesia’s export competitiveness. The study concludes that export diversification, industrial downstreaming, strengthening industrial competitiveness, and expanding international trade cooperation are essential strategies to maintain Indonesia’s economic resilience amid global uncertainty.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of benchmark interest rate increases on the slowdown of household consumption in Indonesia from a macroeconomic perspective. Household consumption is the largest contributor to Indonesia’s Gross Domestic Product and plays an important role in maintaining national economic stability. In recent years, Bank Indonesia has implemented a tightening monetary policy through increases in benchmark interest rates in response to global inflation pressures, exchange rate instability, and uncertainty in the international financial market. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method by analyzing scientific journals, government reports, and macroeconomic publications issued within the last five years. The research process was carried out through the identification of benchmark interest rate developments, analysis of the relationship between interest rates and household consumption, and interpretation of the impact of monetary policy on Indonesia’s macroeconomic stability. The findings indicate that increases in benchmark interest rates significantly affect household purchasing power, consumption credit growth, and public spending patterns. Higher interest rates encourage households to reduce non-essential spending and increase savings due to higher borrowing costs and economic uncertainty. In addition, the slowdown in household consumption has implications for aggregate demand, investment growth, and national economic performance. The study concludes that although increasing benchmark interest rates is necessary to maintain inflation and exchange rate stability, balanced coordination between monetary and fiscal policy is essential to sustain household purchasing power and long-term economic growth in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of income inequality on poverty in Indonesia from a macroeconomic perspective through a qualitative literature review approach. Income inequality remains one of the major economic challenges in developing countries, including Indonesia, because unequal income distribution can widen social disparities, reduce access to education and health services, and increase the vulnerability of low-income groups. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method by reviewing scientific journals, government reports, and macroeconomic publications issued within the last five years. The analysis focuses on the relationship between income inequality, economic growth, unemployment, inflation, human development, and poverty levels in Indonesia. The findings indicate that high income inequality contributes significantly to the persistence of poverty, particularly in rural areas and regions with limited economic access. Although Indonesia has experienced economic growth in recent years, the benefits of growth have not been distributed evenly across society. The study also finds that inequality in access to education, employment opportunities, technology, and productive assets strengthens structural poverty. Therefore, policies aimed at equitable economic development, improving human capital, strengthening social protection, and expanding employment opportunities are essential to reduce poverty and maintain long-term economic stability.

Abstract

Conflict is an inevitable part of the dynamics of organizational life. An organization's success or failure in dealing with conflict depends heavily on the leadership style and communication patterns employed. This paper examines the crucial role of leadership in building healthy organizational communication and strategies for managing conflict constructively. Using a descriptive-analytical literature review method, this article finds that transformational and participatory leadership styles, supported by two-way (symmetrical) communication channels, significantly reduce the potential for destructive conflict. The analysis suggests that leaders do not need to eliminate conflict entirely, but rather redirect it into functional conflict that encourages innovation, transparency, and improved team performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of MSME digitalization acceleration as a stimulus for Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth in Indonesia through a qualitative literature review approach. MSMEs have an important contribution to the national economy because they absorb labor, increase household income, and strengthen domestic economic stability. However, the rapid development of digital technology has encouraged MSMEs to adapt through digital transformation to improve competitiveness and productivity. This research uses qualitative methods by literature review from scientific journals, government reports, and macroeconomic publications related to MSME digitalization and economic growth in Indonesia. The results indicate that MSME digitalization contributes significantly to increasing productivity, expanding market access, strengthening financial inclusion, and increasing business efficiency. In addition, digital transformation among MSMEs supports national economic growth through increased production, consumption, investment, and employment opportunities. The study concludes that strengthening digital infrastructure, improving digital literacy, and expanding access to financing are important strategies to accelerate MSME digitalization and encourage sustainable GDP growth in Indonesia.

Abstract

Cigarette consumption in Indonesia is still a significant problem, especially among communities with diverse socioeconomic levels. Cigarettes not only have an impact on health, but also cause an economic burden on households, especially on the poor. This study aims to analyze the influence of the variables of Poverty, Income, and Education on the Level of Cigarette Consumption in 34 provinces in Indonesia during the period 2020-2024. This study uses a quantitative method with a panel data approach (cross-section of 34 provinces and time-series for 5 years). The analysis technique used is panel data regression analysis with the random effect model. Tests were conducted through the t test (partial), F test (simultaneous), and the test of the coefficient of determination (Adjusted R-squared). The results showed that partially, the poverty variable had a negative and insignificant effect on the level of cigarette consumption. The income variable has a positive and significant effect on the level of cigarette consumption. Meanwhile, the education variable has a negative and significant effect on the level of cigarette consumption. Simultaneously, poverty, income, and education have a positive and significant effect on the level of cigarette consumption in Indonesia. The Adjusted R-squared value of 0.222747 indicates that the three variables are able to explain the variation in cigarette consumption by 22.27 percent, while the rest is influenced by the faculty of education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of capital structure and profitability on firm value at PT Astra International Tbk during the 2021–2025 period. Capital structure was proxied by Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), profitability by Return on Assets (ROA), and firm value by Price to Book Value (PBV). This research employed a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from the company’s quarterly financial statements through the Stockbit platform. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 23 software. The results indicate that partially, capital structure has a negative and significant effect on firm value, as indicated by a significance value of 0.006 < 0.05. Meanwhile, profitability has a negative but insignificant effect on firm value, with a significance value of 0.858 > 0.05. Simultaneously, capital structure and profitability significantly affect firm value, with a significance value of 0.019 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination of 37.4% shows that DER and ROA are able to explain variations in firm value, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other variables outside this study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of firm size on stock prices in major banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2022–2025 period. Firm size is measured using the natural logarithm of total assets, while stock price is measured based on the annual closing price. This study employs a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The research sample consists of five major banks, namely BBCA, BBRI, BMRI, BBNI, and BBTN, comprising a total of 20 observations. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression. The results indicate that firm size has a positive and significant effect on stock prices, as evidenced by a t-test significance value of 0.010, which is lower than 0.05. The regression coefficient value of 2,781.50 demonstrates that every increase in firm size will increase the stock price. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R2) value of 0.318 indicates that firm size can explain 31.8% of the variation in stock prices, while the remaining proportion is influenced by other factors outside this study. This research supports signaling theory, suggesting that company size serves as a positive signal for investors in assessing company prospects.

Abstract

This literature review performs a comparative analysis of financial performance among three major Indonesian blue-chip companies, namely PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk from the consumer goods sector, PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk from the telecommunications sector, and PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk from the banking sector, under the influence of inflation and Bank Indonesia interest rate policies during the period 2022–2025. The study aims to compare key financial ratios across sectors and identify sectoral sensitivities as well as mitigation strategies employed by each company. Using a qualitative descriptive comparative literature review approach, data were synthesized from 20 peer-reviewed journal articles and theses published between 2019 and 2025 through purposive sampling and thematic synthesis. The findings indicate clear sectoral differences: PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk faces significant pressure on profitability and liquidity due to rising raw material costs caused by inflation, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk exhibits high sensitivity to interest rate changes affecting net interest margin, while PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk shows moderate resilience with stable asset turnover. Consumer goods companies are more vulnerable to inflation, banking institutions are heavily impacted by BI Rate fluctuations, and telecommunications firms maintain relatively balanced performance. This review highlights the importance of sector-specific financial strategies and provides practical implications for corporate management and investors in navigating macroeconomic volatility to ensure long-term sustainability in Indonesia’s competitive economy.
