Abstract

The age of children is one of the crucial periods in the development of a person's life. Development at this time also requires guidance and supervision from the parents / caregivers of the child. Children will also be faced with challenges to be able to socialize and become part of a social group. The social abilities of a child also require adaptation to the social environment they live in, each child must have different social skills and different adaptability. At this time, there are still many parents who think motor development is only able to provide development to the cognitive aspects of children, in fact this is not entirely wrong. It is a good initiative too, if the optimization of children's motor skills is directed at the development of other abilities. Therefore, the existence of proper guidance and supervision will be able to interpret children to manifest themselves completely in a social environment.

Abstract

The study investigated the prevalence of suicidal ideation among the undergraduates of a Nigerian university. It determined the individual and relative effectiveness of face-to-face, online and blended media of counselling on suicidal ideation, and the moderating influences of self-concept and peer relationship. The study adopted a pre-test, post-test experimental control group design and a sample of 1200 undergraduates selected by multi stage sampling. Data were collected using the “Adult Suicidal Ideation Questionnaire” developed by Reynolds (1991) and were analyzed using Kruskal Wallis H-test, Wilcoxon ranked test, ANCOVA and Two-way ANOVA. The results showed that although, all the three counselling media were found to be effective on suicidal ideation, the blended media was found to be the most effective (F= 7.511, p 0.05). Self-concept had a significant moderating influence on the three counselling media (F= 8.952, p 0.05) while peer relationship did not (F= 3.152, p 0.05).

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between hedonic lifestyle and self-control among university students using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The quantitative component involved surveying 31 students with standardized scales measuring hedonic lifestyle and self-control. The qualitative aspect included in-depth interviews with some students to gain deeper insights into their behaviours and perceptions. Results from the quantitative analysis revealed a significant inverse correlation between hedonic lifestyle and self-control, indicating that higher engagement in hedonic activities is associated with lower self-control. Qualitative findings supported this, uncovering themes of impulsivity and short-term gratification impacting academic and personal goals. The study concluded that there is a mutually bound relationship between hedonic lifestyle and self-control, where each variable influence and is influenced by the other. These results suggest the need for strategies to help students develop better self-regulation skills while managing a hedonic lifestyle. Further research should explore these dynamics over time to understand causality and long-term effects.

One aspect of development that is important for early childhood is the emotional aspect. Emotions develop over time, emotions in early childhood develop from simple to more complex conditions. Emotions develop as a result of interaction with the environment. Emotional development in early childhood is very important. Because emotional behavior has to do with activities with activities in life. The stronger the emotion exerts pressure, the stronger it will shake the balance of the body to perform certain activities. And that is the reason for me to write this article using a systematic literature review method that examines journals according to the topics I discuss

Abstract

Fine motor development is very important for a child's overall development. Kindergarten-age children still often have difficulty moving their fingers for activities such as cutting, drawing, tearing, folding, arranging and filling patterns by pasting small objects. The improvement is inseparable from the learning steps, namely: (1) One class is divided into three groups consisting of four to five children (2) Each group gets four to five kinds of dyes and crayon media that have been put into containers (3) examples of coloring activities that will be carried out (4) Delivering the agreed rules during coloring activities and (5) Color drawings adjusted to the ongoing theme in kindergarten.
