Abstract

This research identify two poems by Fadwa Tuqan, "Ḥurriyyah al-Sha'b" and "Madīnatī al-Ḥazīnah", with the objective of exploring the potential of literary works as a means of advocating for sustainable peace and social justice in Palestine. An interdisciplinary approach is employed, integrating John Rawls' theory of justice, Benedict Anderson's nationalism, and Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis, to analyse these literary texts. The data collection method involved in-depth textual analysis of the poems, focusing on the motifs of justice, nationalism, and psychological defence mechanisms revealed in the texts. The main primary source is Fadwa Tuqan's own literary work, which is used as a window to understand the collective narrative and experience of Palestinians under Israeli occupation. The main findings show that these poems are not only artistic expressions, but also manifestations of collective resilience that strengthen national identity and the spirit of resistance to oppression. The conclusion of this study is that literature, when analysed using theoretical frameworks, can play an important role in the construction of robust national narratives and the mobilisation of social solidarity in the context of political conflicts. The original contribution of this research lies in the integration of theories that are rarely connected in the context of Palestinian literature, thereby opening up new avenues for literary studies and social theory. However, it is important to note that the study is limited by the fact that it only covers two poems and that the analytical methodology could be further developed to include a wider range of literary works and alternative methodological approaches.

Abstract

The advancement of technology through digital media has influenced mosques in Indonesia, including the Great Mosque of Kudus located in Kudus, Central Java Province, Indonesia, in conducting digital-based da'wah. E-da'wah has become an effective method of disseminating Islamic teachings in today's era, particularly among the millennial generation. This study aims to examine the implementation of digital-based management (e-da'wah) at the Great Mosque of Kudus. The research employed a qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and relevant literature. The findings reveal that the Great Mosque of Kudus conducts digital da'wah through live streaming on social media platforms such as YouTube and Facebook to make religious content more accessible to the public. The opportunities include attracting greater public participation in mosque development, enhancing the mosque’s visibility, and enabling the permanent dissemination of Islamic knowledge. However, the challenges involve the risk of content misuse by irresponsible individuals and the need for continuous innovation by utilizing the full features of digital platforms. These findings imply that mosque administrators should optimize digital-based management such as through websites and Instagram by actively involving Muslim youth in Kudus.

The fears and anxieties that arise regarding death often plague the human mind. This paper aims to identify the concept of the psychology of death according to Komaruddin Hidayat to help humans face death. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach by observing YouTube videos that discuss Komarudin Hidayat's ideas on the psychology of death and Islamic spiritual values. Komarudin Hidayat stated that death is the beginning of eternal life in Islam, encouraging physical and mental preparation. Insan kamil is able to control the worldly and spiritual and draw closer to God. The psychology of death views it as part of the spiritual journey towards the Divine. The study of Komarudin Hidayat's psychology of death shows that an understanding of death can affect individual behavior and attitudes, making it important to understand the concept of death in the context of psychology. This study contributes to the development of spiritual psychology by highlighting the importance of integrating psychological understanding of death with religious values in Islamic society.

Through this strategy, the delivery of Akidah Akhlak material is carried out using various methods, such as the use of visual and audio media, and activities that involve motor skills. Meanwhile, there are supporting factors for the strategy, including the existence of training and professional development for teachers, teachers' skills and concern in moral education, policies and support from Madrasah, and the participation of parents. Abstract

The determination of the beginning of the Hijri month, especially in the context of Ramadan, Shawwal and Dhul Hijjah, is a crucial issue that often triggers differences of opinion among Indonesian Muslims. Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), through its Falakiyah Institute, uses a unique approach in determining the beginning of the month, namely by prioritising the principle of ikhtiyath (prudence). This principle is not only rooted in technical astronomical considerations, but also relies strongly on the rules of ushul fiqh and considerations of public good. This study aims to examine the concept of ikhtiyath theoretically in the perspective of Islamic fiqh and analyse its application in the practice of determining the beginning of the month by Falakiyah NU contextually. This research uses a qualitative method based on literature study on relevant writings and uses descriptive analysis. The results of this study found that ikhtiyath is an important methodological basis in maintaining the validity of worship and social religious stability, especially regarding the determination of the beginning of the lunar month. This finding confirms that NU's Falakiyah approach is not merely conservative, but has epistemological and contextual relevance in responding to modern religious challenges.
