Abstract

Examining curriculum-based learning for English language learners (ELLs) is the goal of this journal article. Effective instructional strategies that address the particular needs of ELLs are becoming more and more important as a result of the increasing diversity in classrooms. The theoretical underpinnings of curriculum-based learning are examined in this article along with its potential advantages for ELLs. The difficulties of applying this strategy in various educational settings are also covered, along with some practical considerations. The goal of curriculum-based learning for English language learners (ELLs) is to create and use teaching tools and methods that are specifically suited to the linguistic and academic requirements of ELL students. This method acknowledges the particular difficulties ELLs face in learning the language while also engaging with content knowledge in a range of subject areas. This journal article explores the theoretical underpinnings, essential elements, and potential advantages of curriculum-based learning for English language learners (ELLs). The focus of this journal article's thorough overview of curriculum-based learning for ELLs is on its importance in promoting inclusive education for a variety of student populations. Teachers and policymakers can support the academic success and linguistic development of ELL students by making decisions based on their understanding of the theoretical underpinnings, essential elements, and potential advantages of this approach.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of NCT dream as a brand ambassador for lemonilo noodles simultaneously on purchase satisfaction. The influence of NCT dream as a brand ambassador for lemonilo noodles and partial appeal to purchasing decisions. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. With a research sample of 100 people as respondents. Sampling uses non-probability precisely using purposive sampling. And the analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis, the results of the regression equation Y = 12969.790 + -0.194X1 + 1.168X2. Based on the results of the study, it shows that brand ambassadors are in the Good classification, attractiveness is included in the very good classification and purchasing decisions are included in the good classification. The test results show that brand ambassador and attractiveness simultaneously have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. Partially, brand ambassadors do not have a significant effect on purchasing decisions, then attractiveness has a significant effect on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Hedonisme adalah klaim bahwa hanya kenikmatan yang memiliki nilai dan hanya rasa sakit yang tidak memiliki nilai non-instrumentally, yaitu bahwa, terlepas dari nilai apanya yang mungkin menyebabkan atau menghalanginya. Dalam pengertian pandangan ini, persahabatan, tindakan, dan pencapaian kita, daya pemahaman, wawasan dan karakter kita, hanya berharga secara intrinsic, melalui kenikmatan (jasmaniah) yang dapat kita capai atau rasa sakit yang dapat kita hilangkan. Oleh sebab itu, tulisan ini akan mencoba menjawab pertanyaan penelitian tentang fenomena perdagangan anak dalam hubungannya dengan konsep gaya hidup, terutama dalam konteks mengapa dan bagaimana gaya hidup hedonism bisa menjadi sangat berpengaruh terhadap fenomena perdagangan anak di kota-kota besar. Penelitian ini dilangsungkan di kota makassar, kota terbesar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of service quality, perceived price and product quality on customer satisfaction to increase customer loyalty at The Westin Jakarta hotel. The population in this study are customers who stay 2 times or more at The Westin Jakarta hotel. The number of samples in this study were 100 respondents. Data collection using a questionnaire. The research method used in quantitative research methods. The analytical method uses PLS. The results showed that service quality, price perceptions and product quality had a positive effect on customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction has a positive effect on customer loyalty at The Westin Jakarta hotel. The test results show an NFI value of 0.728 so that the research model is 72.8% fit. The R-Square value for customer satisfaction is 0.456 which means that 45.6% of customer satisfaction is influenced by service quality, perceived price and product quality. The R-Square value for customer loyalty is 0.165 which means that 16.5% of customer loyalty is influenced by customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This undergraduate thesis entitled “Figurative Language Used in Mariah Carey’s Butterfly Album” is appealing to be discussed since figurative language is a relevant topic to the consistency of being used in literary work and song is an applicable object to be analyzed. This undergraduate thesis aimed to identify the types of figurative language and to explain the meaning of figurative language implied in Butterfly Album by Mariah Carey. The data of this thesis were taken from the album named Butterfly by Mariah Carey. The documentation method alongside with note-taking technique was used in this undergraduate thesis to collect the data. The qualitative method was used in this undergraduate thesis to analyze the data that has been collected. The data that have been analyzed were presented in the informal method alongside the descriptive technique. This undergraduate thesis used the theory stated by Knickerbocker and Reninger in the book Interpreting Literature (1963) and Leech in the book entitled Semantics: The Study of Meaning (1981) This undergraduate thesis identified types of figurative language in The Butterfly Album by Mariah Carey, those are simile, metaphor, synecdoche, metonymy, hyperbole, irony, and paradox. Furthermore, the types of meaning found in the album are conceptual, connotative, and affective.

Abstract

Salah satu pemanfaatan alam Indonesia untuk obat tradisional ialah pada daun Ketumpang Air yang kerap dijadikan obat sakit kepala, jerawat, bisul, dan lainnya. Tanaman ini tumbuh didaerah lembab, karakteristik tanaman ini ialah batang yang tegak, lunak serta berwarna hijau muda dengan bentuk daun tunggal. Dalam tanaman ketumpang air terkandung alkaloid, saponin, flavonoid, dan tanin. Senyawa flavonoid dapat terbukti menjadi antioksidan dan antikanker. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Mengetahui jumlah hari maserasi yang dapat menghasilkan kadar flavonoid total dari variasi hari maserasi. Penelitian ini terbagi menjadi 3 tahap yakni persiapan, proses inti dan pengujian. Dalam prosesnya daun ketumpang air di maserasi dengan etanol 96% dengan jumlah variasi maserasi nya ialah pada tiga hari, empat, dan lima hari. Pengujian dilakukan dengan bantuan larutan baku kuersetin yang diukur dengan spektroskopi Ultraviolet-tampak (UV-Vis) sebagai standar, kemudian diukur sampel dengan rentang panjang gelombang yang tertinggi atau maksimum pada range yaitu 400-800 nm. Ketika Panjang Gelombang sudah ditemukan maka kemudian 3 sampel tersebut ditakar sebanyak 0,1 gram lalu dilarukan pada pelarut etanol 96% hingga volume menjadi 5 mL. kemudian dilakukan penambahan larutan AlCl3 10% sebanyak 0,01 mL, larutan Na asetat 1 M sebanyak 0,01 mL dan 2,80 mL aquadest. Hasilnya ialah didapatkan 167,75 mg/L untuk maserasi 3 hari, 141,50 mg/L untuk maserasi 4 hari, dan 82,53 mg/L untuk maserasi 5 hari. Sehingga ditarik keimpulan bahwa flavonoid total terbanyak diperoleh dari sampel daun ketumpang air dengan maserasi 3 hari, dan pada sampel 5 hari mendapat hasil flavonoid total terkecil.

Abstract

Teacher Stimulus and Student Response in Class X Arabic Learning at SMKS Muhammadiyah Bungoro, Pangkep Regency. Supervised by Sulaeman Masnan and Muhammad Radhi Almardhi. This research uses a qualitative method that aims to find out how the form of teacher stimulus in learning Arabic class X SMKS Muhammadiyah Bungoro Pangkep Regency and how the form of student response in learning Arabic class X SMKS Muhammadiyah Bungoro Pangkep Regency. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. Technical data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The sources of data in this study were Arabic teachers and students. The results of this study show that the Teacher Stimulus in Arabic language learning in class X, especially the RPL department at SMKS Muhammadiyah Bungoro Pangkep district, in general is not classified as good because the teacher is not an Arabic graduate, so he does not master the right methods, strategies, and evaluations in learning Arabic. Abstract

Education is an effort and process to gain one's knowledge, skills and expertise through learning activities in schools or madrasas. Even outside the school can be held learning activities. With education we can give birth to intelligent and skilled nation's children. In addition, education is also one of the drivers of the progress of a country. The more the quality of education in Indonesia increases, the more Human Resources in Indonesia will also increase. The history of education in Indonesia has taken place before Indonesia's independence. In the 16th century, the Portuguese came to colonize Indonesia and the first Europeans to come to Indonesia were then followed by the Spanish. When Portuguese came to Indonesia, the education system in Indonesia was heavily influenced by world religions such as Christianity. In addition, Portuguese also provides learning to read, write and even count. Education in Indonesia can be independent because of the efforts of the heroes who have fought to liberate Indonesia. One of the heroes like R.A Kartini who fought for the position and education of her people, especially women. And don't forget, Ki Hadjar Dewantara, who we call none other than the Father of National Education, who has struggled to advance education in Indonesia. Apart from these two figures, there are many other heroes who have struggled to advance education in Indonesia.

Abstract

With the emergence of Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation, the relationship between the central government and regional governments is regulated and reorganized, especially in terms of administering business licensing in the regions. Job creation is about efforts to create jobs through facilitation, protection and empowerment of micro, small and medium enterprises as well as increasing the investment cycle and ease of doing business so that investors and entrepreneurs can easily obtain the required permits easily. The Sleman Regency Government through the Investment Service and One-Stop Integrated Services (DPMPTSP) has implemented business licensing through the Online Single Submission system, which is an information technology-based licensing that integrates regional and central licensing in order to facilitate domestic business activities. By using it will make it easier for business actors in the stages of business requirements, business licenses and business operations. Licensing data is obtained in the identity of the Business Identification Number (NIB). NIB is one of the requirements for obtaining assistance for business actors in obtaining various assistance and licensing services issued by the OSS Institution.

Abstract

The Village Head Election is an event used to select and elect the leader of a village in every six years. However, in its implementation the village head election is constantly colored by several frauds, one of them is the phenomenon of money politics. This research was conducted with the aim of revealing and knowing the phenomenon of money politics that occurred in the election process. This research was conducted with a qualitative description in order to obtain in-depth information. Data collection methods in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that in the election of the village head of Soki, Belo sub-district, Bima district, the practice of political money is still running, where the form was not only the distribution of money but also goods and others.
