SHINE: is a journal of Guidance and Counseling aims to help researchers and practitioners in improving a good reputation for reference from the various authors and cases around Indonesia In the development of science which figuring out the results of research, case studies, and library review to develop in terms of counseling and psychology guidance widely. It also beneficial to be a reference for the development of education, curriculum and the development of human resources (SDM), SHINE: a Journal of Guidance and Counseling to receive and publish articles based on both qualitative and quantitative research (scientific article). All articles published in Indonesia (abstract English) The scope of SHINE: The Journal of Guidance and Counseling focuses on the materials of research such us in terms of science, practice/skills, philosophy, and social. The psychology also being a part of this scope containing the various topics as the following: The Research of pedagogical competence. The research of personality competence The Research of Social Competence The research of professional competence. Research on the development of education. The experimental, quantitative, qualitative, classroom activities, and library research. SHINE Journal: The Journal Guidance and Counseling are only written by Indonesian authors as the following criteria: (1) The publisher of the journal comes from Indonesia (2) The article needs to be associated with the conditions in Indonesia or the country that has the same condition which is expected to have implications and contributions to address the problems of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

The aim of carrying out this research is to describe improving public speaking skills through group guidance services using sociodrama techniques. This research was carried out at Assa'idiyah Kudus Vocational School in the 2023/2024 academic year. The research design uses guidance and counseling action research. The research subjects were ten students of Assa'idiyah Kudus Vocational School. Data collection techniques use observation and interviews. The data analysis used is descriptive quantitative data analysis. The results of the research show that the public speaking skills of Assa'idiyyah Kudus students can be improved through the application of sociodrama technique group guidance. Public speaking ability before providing services is 30% category (Very Poor). In cycle I it was found that there was an increase with a score of 46% in the (Poor) category, then in cycle II there was an increase with a score of 91% in the (Very Good) category.

Abstract

In this study it explains about counselling group psychodrama techniques to improve conflict management skills of OSIS members. The method used in this study is the study of literature (literature study) data collected as secondary data from previous research such as books, articles or other relevant sources. As to the conclusion in this study is that with the group counselling services psychodrama techniques to improve conflict management capabilities of OSIS members can be concluded that by the use of the group counseling services psycho-drama techniques can improve the ability of management of conflict members OSIS with four stages of service namely warming up, action, sharing and closure. The conclusions of the study are confirmed by the analysis of various results of other people's studies that have been carried out before.

Abstract

Guidance and counseling has a essential function in aiding student development, both in academic, social, emotional, and career aspects. To ensure the effectiveness of BK services, good management and adequate facilities and infrastructure are needed. This research focuses on evaluating the consequences of BK management and the significance of facilities and infrastructure in enhancing the standard of school services. The approach Utilized is a literature review, examining different sources connected to the planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation of BK management, In addition to the role of facilities such as well-equipped counseling rooms and tools in boosting service effectiveness. The findings suggest that well-structured BK management and proper management of facilities and infrastructure can enhance the quality of counseling services and foster an environment that assists students in overcoming challenges. On the other hand, insufficient support in management and facilities can hinder the effectiveness of BK services. This research recommends improvements in management and the provision of more sufficient facilities and infrastructure to support the success of guidance and counseling services in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze factors influencing the learning motivation of lower-grade students at SD Sumberadi 1. The research explores aspects such as lack of focus, indifference to assignments, dominance of extrinsic motivation, unengaging teaching methods, limited parental support, peer influence, and an unfavorable classroom atmosphere. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collected through in-depth interviews involving two teachers from lower and upper grades. Thematic analysis identified the main factors affecting motivation and strategies applied by teachers. Results show that extrinsic motivation dominates student behavior. Influencing factors include the classroom environment, teaching approaches, and parental involvement. To boost motivation, teachers employed educational games, appreciation, and concrete learning media. The study highlights the importance of collaboration between schools and parents in creating a supportive atmosphere at school and home. These findings are expected to provide insights and recommendations to improve students’ motivation through more effective and holistic educational practices.

Abstract

Psychological trauma following life-threatening events often leads to long-term emotional and cognitive impairments. This article examines the application of trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as an effective strategy for psychological recovery among trauma survivors. Based on an empirical, systematic, and theoretically grounded approach, this paper explores how CBT helps reconstruct negative thoughts, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, and restore adaptive functioning after trauma. The discussion includes the core principles of CBT, therapeutic techniques, its effectiveness, as well as challenges in practical implementation across various settings. The findings highlight that CBT-based counseling contributes significantly to enhancing psychological resilience and quality of life among trauma survivors.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: 1. To determine the improvement of students' understanding before and after being given Homeroom engineering group guidance services to students in grade X MPLB 3 SMK PGRI 1 Mejobo Kudus., 2. To find out the effectiveness of the implementation of homeroom engineering group guidance services to prevent the negative impact of dating on students by using Group Guidance. The research uses the quasi-experiment method of design one group pretest and posttest. This research was carried out in class X MPLB 3 by conducting a pretest to find out the number of research subjects needed for treatment and after the pretest was carried out. The results of the study showed that before group guidance with the homeroom technique (pretest) the understanding of the negative impact of dating tended to be low with an average of 71.5 and after being given the treatment of group guidance services with the homeroom technique (posttest) the understanding of the negative impact of dating experienced a significant increase.
