The experimental, quantitative, qualitative, classroom activities, and library research. SHINE Journal: The Journal Guidance and Counseling are only written by Indonesian authors as the following criteria: (1) The publisher of the journal comes from Indonesia (2) The article needs to be associated with the conditions in Indonesia or the country that has the same condition which is expected to have implications and contributions to address the problems of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui layanan bimbingan konseling yang dilaksanakan di Mtss Al-Muhajirin dalam mengatasi kesulitan membaca siswa, dan memberikan tawaran intervensi untuk membantu siswa dalam mengatasi permasalahnnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif berdasarkan fakta-fakta yang ada dilapangan dan pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara. Dan penelitian literaturre review dengan mengumpulkan konsep-konsep melalui buku dan jurnal yang sesuai dengan penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah layanan bimbingan konseling yang diberikan untuk mengatasi kesulitan membaca adalah layanan konseling individual, dan sebuah tawaran intervensi berupa bimbingan belajar face to face, kerjasama dengan orangtua siswa, penerapan metode pembelajaran dan treatmen tambahan yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of low self-esteem in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 4 Banyuwangi. This study aims to determine the effect of group guidance services using role playing techniques on the self-esteem of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 4 Banyuwangi. This research is a quantitative experimental research using pre-experimental research methods with the type of one group pretest and posttest design. The population of this research is 192 students. The sample in this study were 14 students who were taken using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection tools used are observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation.The results of the study showed that students' self-esteem scores were given after being given group guidance treatment using the role playing technique with an average pretest score of 63.28 in the low category and a posttest score of 92.92 in the medium and high categories. Based on the results of the sig.(2-tailed) value in the t-test it is known that it is 0.000 ? 0.05. On the basis of these calculations, Ha (alternative hypothesis) reads "There is an influence of group guidance services with role playing techniques on the self-esteem of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 4 Banyuwangi" is accepted as true. Thus, it can be said that the use of group guidance services with role playing techniques is effectively used to increase student self-esteem.

Abstract

This research aims to study hypothetically the application of Solution-Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) in families and several examples of solution-focused family counseling cases. The research method used is a literature review which uses various written sources such as journals and articles that are relevant to the study in this research. The focus of the research literature review is articles published in national journals regarding aspects of research titles, research methods and research results. The researcher chose a literature review because the researcher wanted to see a general overview of research on the application of Solution-Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) in families and several case examples of solution-focused family counseling..

Abstract

The objectives of this study include: 1) to determine the relation between body image and self-confidence with interpersonal communication in female adolescents SMP Islam Sunan Gunung Jati Tulungagung, 2) to find out the relation between body image with the interpersonal communication of female adolescent at SMP Islam Sunan Gunung Jati Tulungagung, and 3) to determine the relation between self-confidence with the interpersonal communication of female adolescent at SMP Islam Sunan Gunung Jati Tulungagung, 4) to to determine the relation between body image with self-confidence of female adolescent at SMP Islam Sunan Gunung Jati Tulungagung. The method used is a correlation quantitative research. The sample were female adolescent class VIII and IX with an age range of 13-15 years at SMP Islam Sunan Gunung Jati Tulungagung which has 195 students. The results showed that 1)there is a positif and not significant relation between body image and self-confidence with female adolescent interpersonal communication, 2) there is no relation between body image and female adolescent interpersonal communication, 3) there is a positif and significant relation between self-confidence and interpersonal communication of female adolescents, 4) there is a positif and significant relation beetwen body image with self-confidenceof female adolescents.

Abstract

The group guidance service format is a framework or structure used by counselors or mentors to provide guidance to a group of individuals in one session or meeting. Group counseling services aim to assist group members in understanding and overcoming the various problems or challenges they face, as well as promoting personal growth and positive development. The service formats in group guidance are (1) classical format, (2) group format, (3) field format, (4) individual format, (5) collaborative format, and (6) distance format. As for the types of methods in the service Group guidance includes: home room programs, study trips, discussion groups, group activities, student unions, sociodrama, psychodrama, and drama teaching.

Abstract

Counseling guidance services are not just providing advice related to choosing majors, careers or solving behavioral problems, but are an effective forum in shaping student character. Counseling guidance becomes another way for children's character building besides parents and the environment. character development is a lifelong process, which aims to form individuals who have noble values, morals, and ethics. The purpose of making this article is to find out the role of counseling guidance services on student character development. The method used in this article uses the literature review method by analyzing several studies related to the discussion. The results show that the role of counseling guidance on student character development is very instrumental, through various ways, one of which is a routine event that is held indirectly will develop student character for the better.

Abstract

Education is an aspect that has an important role which is carried out consciously by an individual with the aim of improving the individual's quality and abilities in learning. In this case, the way to improve students' quality and abilities in learning is done through guidance and counseling both individually and in groups. Apart from that, in order to improve students' disciplinary character, the role of guidance and counseling teachers in schools is needed. However, from another perspective, it turns out that there are still many who doubt the existence of guidance and counseling teachers, one of which is mathematics teachers. The purpose of writing this article is to find out the importance of the role of guidance and counseling teachers and also the perspective of mathematicians regarding the performance of guidance and counseling teachers in schools. The method used in writing this scientific article is a literature view from books, journals, theses and scientific articles by citing some information related to the role of guidance and counseling teachers and the perspective of mathematics teachers on the performance of guidance and counseling teachers.

Abstract

Students who have just entered the Islamic boarding school must be able to adapt themselves. They must participate in all activities that exist at the Islamic boarding school, both formal and non-formal. Besides that, students must adapt well, so social support is needed from people around the students, but the social support given to students is not always optimal, this causes students to have difficulty adjusting themselves. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of social support on the adjustment of new students in grade 7 at the SMP Islam Excellent As Syafi’ah Nganjuk. This study uses a quantitative with a correlational type that is measured using two scales, namely social support and self-adjustment. The subjects in this study were new students in grade 7 Islamic Middle School Excellent As Syafi'ah Nganjuk. totaling 158 students. The results in this study indicate that there is an influence of social support on self-adjustment. Social support has a significant effect on adjustment with a sig value of <0.05 (0.000 <0.05) and social support affects adjustment with a percentage value of 32.1%.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of determining the effectiveness of career information with the Gitmind technique to improve career planning of students of SMP Al Iman Kota Magelang. Experimental research methods used in this study. The stage carried out is to test the effectiveness of the Gitmind technique career information service to improve students' career planning. The research design used pre-experimental: one group pretest-posttest design with purposife sampling. The results of the effectiveness test of this study are that this model is effective for improving students' career planning. The research sample used purposive sampling technique totaling 8 students. The student's career planning level has improved after following career information with the Gitmind technique. This can be seen from the career planning of students before and after being given career information with the Gitmind technique by 22% and reinforced through effectiveness tests using t-tests that show -t count (-7.869) < -t table (-2.120).

Abstract

Discipline is an important aspect to be considered in the realm of education, especially discipline related to time management, as punctuality influences the formation of good character in the learning process at school. This article describes the level of change in students' time discipline after the implementation of group guidance using the Home Room Technique for Grade XI students at SMA N 1 Nalumsari. This research is an action research in guidance and counseling (PTBK) with the following stages: 1. Planning, 2. Action, 3. Observation, and 4. Reflection conducted in 2 research cycles, with three meetings in each cycle. The results of this research during the pre-cycle stage. Data collection techniques involved interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings of this research prove that the students' time discipline increased by 39 points, initially scoring an average of 37 in the pre-cycle stage categorized as very poor (VP), now reaching 76 categorized as good (G). This study indicates that teachers should utilize the Home Room Technique group guidance in improving student discipline, especially punctuality in arriving at school.
