Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of peer teaching model in an effort to enhance creative thinking of sixth grade students in science subjects, particularly in the topic of puberty at SD Negeri Ciremai Giri, Kota Cirebon. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, documentation, and questionnaires on 36 students. The results show that the implementation of the peer teaching model is effective in enhancing students' creative thinking skills on the topic of puberty. The use of peer teaching model can improve students' creative thinking in problem solving, material explanation, as well as students' activity in the class. The conclusion of this study is that the peer teaching model can be an effective alternative in enhancing students' creative thinking in science subjects at SD level.

Abstract

Student collaboration in solving problems in learning can improve learning outcomes. In fact, most student learning outcomes still do not meet the Minimum Completeness Criteria. Therefore, learning must be able to facilitate student involvement in studying the material, share ideas with each other, and be able to consider the most appropriate answers in learning so that learning outcomes are achieved optimally. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of students' mathematics learning outcomes in the material of measuring angles using the Numbered Head Together learning method. This research is a classroom action research following the design of Kemmis and Mc Taggart. The research subjects were fourth grade students of SDIT Al Akhyar in semester 2 of the 2017/2018 academic year, totaling 27 students. Data collection techniques using interviews, observations, and tests. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis techniques. The indicator of research success is achieved if eighty percent (80%) of students reach the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) which is 75. The results show that the percentage of completeness of students' KKM scores is 33.33% (pre-cycle) to 76.67% (cycle I) then to 81.48% (cycle II). The test results in the second cycle showed that 81.48% of students reached the KKM so that the research could be stopped until the second cycle because it had reached the indicators of research success. This means that the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The background of this research is to determine teacher strategies in developing the quality of HOTS-based learning in Mathematics Subjects. This research aims to 1) find out and explain teachers' strategies in developing the quality of HOTS-based learning in Mathematics Subjects in Class V 2) find out the supporting factors and inhibiting factors for teachers' strategies in developing the quality of HOTS-based learning in Mathematics Subjects in Class V. Data collection with interviews, observation and documentation. This research uses a historical approach. This qualitative research data analysis uses interactive analysis, namely data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The research results show: 1) The teacher's strategy in developing the quality of HOTS-based learning is implemented in three stages: the planning stage, the teacher makes a Learning Implementation Plan with high- level thinking learning indicators: cognitive level (C4, C5 and C6). In the implementation stage, the teacher gives problems to students using video and LCD. The teacher applies the Problem Based Learning model where the teacher becomes a facilitator, while students are encouraged to solve problems. Teacher assessment stage: written test, description test and performance test. 2) Supporting factors: a) professional class teachers, b) the head of the madrasah carries out academic supervision activities, c) the availability of learning media and supporting tools, and d) the existence of regular coaching meetings once a month. 3) Inhibiting factors: a) limited allocation of learning time, b) differences in parenting styles for children at home, c) differences in students' ability to understand the material.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of a school literacy program in increasing reading interest in class IV students at MI Nurul Huda Bajomulyo Juwana. The theoretical benefit of this research is that it can develop the knowledge researched from a theoretical perspective, especially regarding the impact of school literacy programs in increasing fourth grade students' interest in reading at MI Nurul Huda Bajomulyo Juwana. For students, it is useful for increasing motivation and learning achievement. For teachers, it is useful to develop the quality of learning to be better. For institutions, these theoretical benefits are useful as a reference for improving school policies. Meanwhile, the practical benefits of this research are expected to provide benefits to educational practitioners. For students, it is useful to improve students' understanding of several subjects. For teachers, it is useful to increase teacher professionalism in carrying out teaching and learning activities. And for institutions, it is useful as an effort to improve the quality of teaching management. This type of research is field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The research instrument is a human instrument (researcher himself). The data collection method uses interviews, documentation and observation. After the data is collected, data analysis is carried out using the data triangulation technique from Milles and Hubberman or by looking for data supporting the research objectives formulated by Data Reduction, Data Presentation, Conclusion Drawing and Verification, and Data Validity. The results of the data reduction are presented in the form of data displays using narrative descriptions, then the final step is to draw conclusions. The analysis used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this research are as follows: (1) In literacy activities at MI Nurul Huda, it is necessary to plan the activities first, then apply the methods that will be applied when the activities are carried out, then the school starts implementing the activities, and then evaluates the things that will be carried out. needs to be improved. (2) The positive impact of literacy activities is increasing students' interest in reading, students understanding the material they read, being able to create works for media, broadening their knowledge, making children read more fluently, the school has its own funds, class teachers can play an active role, support from students' parents. Meanwhile, negative impacts include laziness in students, students have difficulty concentrating, and students who are not fluent in reading will become increasingly backward.

Abstract

Children's literature is a literary work whose images and metaphors of life are told (feelings, thoughts and images) and the language used can be understood by children according to their level of mental development. In other words, children's literature is a literary work that uses a child's point of view in its storytelling. Children's literature can be created by children or adults as long as what is conveyed is still within the reach of the child's mental development. The benefits of children's literature are very diverse, one of which is that children's literature can be used to foster cultural literacy in elementary school students. Children's literature is a medium to instill students' understanding and love of Indonesian culture as a nation's identity. This study aims to determine how children's literature as a medium of cultural literacy movement in elementary school students. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. Abstract

This study aims to determine how to improve the ability of intensive reading of Indonesian language by applying the Cooperative Script learning model for fifth grade students of MI Sultan Agung 01 Sukolilo Pati. The practical benefit of this writing is as information to find out the improvement of children's intensive reading skills through the Cooperative Script learning model in grade V students of MI Sultan Agung 01 Sukolilo Pati. The theoretical benefits contribute to the development of educational science, especially in the application of learning models. This type of writing uses Classroom Action Writing (PTK) with the stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The implementation of writing was carried out in 2 cycles taking the location of MI Sultan Agung 01 Sukolilo Pati. The writing was done collaboratively between the Indonesian language teacher and the author. The subjects of this writing are fifth grade students of MI Sultan Agung 01 Sukolilo Pati with a total of 29 students. Data collection techniques used observation sheets, tests, documentation and field notes. The data analysis technique in this writing is a mixture of descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative. The conclusion of this writing shows that by applying Cooperative Script Learning Model can improve the ability of intensive reading in class V (Five). It can be seen from the average score of learning outcomes in the pre-cycle of 67.75 with low criteria increased to 78.51 with high criteria in cycle I and increased again in cycle II by 86.06 with high criteria. While the percentage of completeness from 34.49% with very low criteria in the pre-cycle increased to 72.41% with high criteria in cycle 1 and increased again in cycle II by 89.65% with very high criteria. Thus, the Cooperative Script learning model can be used to improve intensive reading skills.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to improve the ability of subtraction calculation operation of first grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Tarbiyatul Athfal Gembong Pati using abacus media in learning. This research is a Classroom Action Research. The research subjects were first grade students of MI Tarbiyatul Athfal which amounted to 29 students by involving the principal as a collaborator and researchers as accompanying teachers and observers. This research was conducted for 2 cycles with data collection techniques using observation, documentation, and tests. Data analysis techniques use averages and percentages. The research ended if it had reached the predetermined criteria. The results showed that the implementation of the learning process in cycle I reached 96%, while in cycle II it reached 100%. The average score in the pre-cycle stage reached 57.6, in cycle I reached 68.3, and in cycle II reached 77.6. At the pre-cycle stage, students who reached the KKM score amounted to 6 people (20.7%). At the cycle I stage, students who reached the KKM amounted to 18 people (62.1%). At the cycle II stage, students who reached the KKM amounted to 25 people (86.2%) so that it had reached the research completeness criteria of 85%. Abacus media has an impact in improving students' subtraction calculation skills. Therefore, the ability of subtraction calculation operation with abacus media in MI students has increased.

Abstract

Most students consider Indonesian language lessons to be boring lessons so that it has an impact on students' low interest in learning which leads to student learning outcomes that are still below the school's Minimum Completeness Criteria. One alternative so that learning Indonesian is not boring is to use the method of reading the Survey Question Read Recite Recall (SQ3R). SQ3R reading method is a reading method to find main ideas and supporting main ideas. This study aims to determine the response and influence of the SQ3R reading method in learning Indonesian language announcement text material on student learning outcomes. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research. The sampling technique uses saturated sampling. The population and sample are fourth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Bendungan with a total of 34 students. The sample was divided into 2 groups, namely the experimental class and the control class. The sampling technique used a questionnaire and a test which was analyzed descriptively and using the t test. Analysis of the questionnaire data from 14 students showed that 84.1% of students had a positive response to the SQ3R method. The results of the t-test show that tcount ≥ ttable (t2,848 ≥ t2,074 ) so that H1 is accepted. Control N-gain Experimental N-gain (0.57 0.69) means that there is a difference in student learning outcomes with the SQ3R reading method and lectures. So, students responded positively to the SQ3R reading method and this method had an effect on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the literacy programme as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in improving the morals of fifth grade (V) students in MI. This type of research is field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The data sources used are primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The data validity test was carried out by means of observation and triangulation. The data analysis technique is by reducing data, presenting data, and verification. The results showed that students' morals are improved through the literacy programme with three stages: habituation, development and learning. The supporting factors of the literacy programme in improving students' morals are the natural environment, interesting moral reading books according to age, family environment, and self-awareness. The inhibiting factors of the literacy programme in improving students' morals are the family environment and self-awareness. The impact of this research is able to provide insight and reference regarding the learning of literacy reading and writing programmes that can be used as a means to improve the morals of grade V MI students. The implementation of the literacy programme in improving the morals of fifth grade students at MI Alam Alfa Kids is running well according to the desired goals.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how teachers' strategies improve critical thinking skills. The benefit of critical thinking skills from this research is that it can develop the knowledge researched from a theoretical perspective, especially regarding the critical thinking skills of class IV, V, VI students at MI Tarbiyatus Salam Mojoagung. For students, it is useful for increasing motivation and learning achievement. For teachers, it is useful to develop the quality of learning to be better. For institutions, these theoretical benefits are useful as a reference for improving school policies. Meanwhile, the practical benefits of this research are expected to provide benefits to educational practitioners. For students, it is useful to improve students' understanding of several subjects. For teachers, it is useful to increase teacher professionalism in carrying out teaching and learning activities. And for institutions, it is useful as an effort to improve the quality of teaching management. This type of research is field research with a qualitative approach. This research was carried out at MI Tarbiyatus Salam. in June-July 2022 the primary data source is class IV, V, VI teachers while the secondary data source is the teacher structure vision and mission. Data collection techniques use interviews, documentation and observation. After the data is collected, data analysis is carried out using data triangulation techniques from Milles and Hubberman or by looking for supporting data for the research objectives formulated by Data Reduction, Data Presentation, Conclusion Drawing and Verification, and Data Validity. The results of the data reduction are presented in the form of data displays using narrative descriptions. The conclusion of this research is that teacher strategies in improving critical thinking skills are very important for MI Tarbiyatus Salam students so they can develop brilliant ideas so that 4 teacher strategies are needed including: (1) Planning learning activities (2) implementing learning activities (3) evaluation in improving students' critical thinking abilities (4) Supporting and inhibiting factors in improving students' critical thinking abilities at MI Tarbiyatus Salam. There are several supporting factors including teacher enthusiasm in carrying out their duties, adequate facilities. Inhibiting factors include students feeling bored during learning, students not being active in teaching and learning activities, the sentences in the books are very difficult so they can hinder critical thinking abilities.
