Abstract

The Homeroom teacher is the person who has the first opportunity to improve the quality of learning regarding his role in fostering, guiding, and psychologically preaparing students, to be ready to participate in and carryout learning and learning activities in an effective and conducive claccroom atmosphere so that the quality of learning processes and outcomes can be achieved. The hope as a homeroom teacher in increasing student learning interest in online learning during the covid-19 pandemic is that the homeroom teacher can master technology to support online learning. The purpose of this study was to explain the role of the homeroom teacher in increasing student interest in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at Kanisius Elementary School Sidowayah 02 Klaten. This study uses a qualitative method. The respondents of this study were the homeroom teacher of SD Kanisius Sidowayah 02 Klaten. The number of respondents in this study was 12 people. From the results of this study, the homeroom teachers of SD Kanisius Sidowayah 02 Klaten understand their respective roles increase students interest in learning.

Abstract

Catholic youth are a generation that is highly relied on by the Church, in this case the Church places great hopes on the Catholic youth to become a pillar of church life, both in the present and in the future. One of them is the phenomenon of the Covid-2019 (Covid-19) pandemic which has an impact on so many aspects of life. The massive impact due to the adjustment and handling of the Covid-19 pandemic touched on the activities of efforts to live up to the faith of the Catholic Youth. The vulnerability situation that occurred during the Covid-19 pandemic in addition to having an impact on the physical and mental, the Covid-19 pandemic also damaged the concept of community. Abstract

Parents are persons who have a major role in educating the child's faith. Faith education needs to be given to children to grow Christian values and goodness in children. The Covid-19 pandemic situation has an impact on no more child faith formation in the Church. Child faith development has become parent-centered as the first and foremost child faith educator during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of parents, the challenges of educating children's faith during a pandemic, and the efforts made by parents in educating children's faith during a Pandemic. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data analysis techniques use structured interview techniques in the Brayat Minulya community. The informants in this study were parents who had children aged 5-12 years. The informants in this study were six (6) people. The results showed that informants knew enough about their role as parents in educating children's faith during the pandemic. Faith education can be done through parental example and teaching about spirituality. The challenges faced by parents in educating children's faith during the pandemic have become a new awareness for parents of their duties and responsibilities as first and foremost faith educators.

Abstract

The results of observations, that reseaechers has done, show that the majority of teachers still prioritize the formation of cognitive abilities in students rather than instill the spiritual values such as brotherhood, love, repentance, prayer, service and simplicity.The results of this field observation encourage the researcher to do the scientific research with the title: The comprehension and Appreciantion of the Elementary School Teachers of St. Francis of Assisi, Sragen Towards the Spirituality of the SFS Cogregation. This research aims to obtain a deep understanding of the teachers of SD St. Fransiskus Assisi, about the essence of Christian Spirituality and SFS spirituality; analize in what extent the teachers of Elementary School of Francis of Assisi, live their life based on the spirituality of SFS; and analyze the impact of SFS spirituality on the behavior and the work of the teachers’ daily life at St. Elementary School of Francis of Assisi, Sragen. The results of the analysis, based on research data, show that most respondents think that SFS spirituality is seen as a spirituality that emphasizes love, repentance, prayer, service, brotherhood and simplicity.

Abstract

Vocational High School Education (VHS) emphasizes practice in the implementation of learning because it prepares students for work. Principals of vocational schools need teacher collaboration to improve the quality of education. Research method used is quantitative research method. The population on the research are teachers who work at Vocational High School under the auspices of the fourth representative of John Gabriel foundation. The sample for this research is 47 teachers. Sample selection method for this research use simple random sampling. Variable independent on this research is principals democratic leadership style, and variable dependent on this research is teacher performance. Linearity test concluded that there are linear relationship significant among principals democratic leadership style (X) variable with teacher performance (Y). The data analysis show that there are a significant and linear relationship between the principal's democratic leadership style with teacher performance. The results of the research, it was found that the democratic leadership style of the principal has a linear relationship to teacher performance and has a significant impact on the performance of VHS teachers at the fourth representative of John Gabriel foundation.

Abstract

The reality of the Indonesian nation as a pluralistic nation is a positive thing. However, in the reality of the dynamics of today's society, the positive value of plurality is harmed by conflicts between adherents of religion, ethnicity, race, and class. In responding to this situation, the younger generation, especially elementary school-aged children in grade VI or early teens as part of the community, need to be educated from an early age so that they have an attitude of tolerance, openness, mutual respect, and respect for diversity in society or called religious moderation. The idea of religious moderation is understanding religious differences and not being extreme in religion. The purpose of writing this thesis is to find and analyze the ideas of religious moderation from the main sourcebooks and other sources; apply the principles of religious moderation, especially tolerance, in the lives of Indonesia's young generation. This research method is the literature review. The main book studied is the Religious Moderation book written by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The findings or results of the author's research show that one of the basics in religious moderation is active tolerance.

Abstract

The Catholic family is one of the faith communities that participates in the Trinity of Christ, namely as priests, prophets and kings. One way that families can do this is by praying together in the family, as an embodiment of priesthood duties. In this Covid-19 pandemic situation, Catholic families are faced with a challenge, namely to remain faithful in carrying out prayer together as a family. This study aims to discuss the dynamics of prayer in Catholic families during the Covid-19 pandemic. The results showed that the implementation of prayer together in the family was mostly carried out directly. There are various kinds of prayers that are prayed in collective prayer. Catholic families also feel the benefits and challenges of carrying out prayer together in the family.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze parents' understanding of the duties and responsibilities in children's faith education, to find out godparents' understanding of the duties and responsibilities in children's faith education, and how parents and godparents collaborate in children's faith education at the Immaculate Conception Parish in Surabaya. This study uses a qualitative method. The results of the study indicate that parents and godparents understand the duties and responsibilities in children's faith education and carry them out in various concrete actions based on the five tasks of the church, there has been cooperation between parents and godparents in fostering children's faith.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the involvement of parents following the assistance of infant baptism preparation as a means to fulfill their marriage vows. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods to understand the phenomenon under study. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. The sample in this study was Catholic parents in Saint Pius X Blora Parish who baptized children aged 0-7 years. There were 10 informants, one of the child’s parents (father/mother). Data analysis techniques obtained from interviews, field notes, and documentation are processed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that parental involvement in assisting infant baptism preparation that followed could grow their awareness in fulfilling marriage vows. One of the marriage promises to be fulfilled through this research is to educate children’s faith in a Catholic manner.
