Abstract

Basic education has an important role in instilling the values ​​of cultural diversity in students through various means, one of which is extracurricular activities. This research aims to analyze teacher practices in teaching cultural diversity through extracurricular activities at MI Tarbiyatus Sibyan, Lumbang, Probolinggo. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, and documentation of extracurricular activities at MI Tarbiyatus Sibyan which has a multicultural student background. The research results show that teacher practice in teaching cultural diversity involves a creative approach through scout extracurriculars, traditional games, and group discussions. With proper implementation, extracurricular activities can be an effective means of instilling the value of cultural diversity in elementary school students, supporting the creation of a healthy society. tolerant and harmonious in the future.

Abstract

Character education in early childhood plays an important role in shaping their personality and future development. In the "golden age" phase, environmental factors, parenting patterns, and the role of schools have a big influence. Democratic parenting styles support positive characters such as independence, honesty and responsibility, while authoritarian or permissive parenting styles can have a negative impact on children's emotional and social aspects.  Schools that provide a conducive environment and positive social interaction also strengthen the moral values ​​applied at home. Research at Miftahul Huda Kindergarten examines the relationship between parenting styles, social environment, and the role of teachers in forming children's character. With a qualitative descriptive approach, the research results show that synergy between family, school and community is very important. A good collaboration between these three factors can create a generation that is not only academically intelligent, but also has strong character and high competitiveness. Therefore, character education must be the main focus in parenting and learning from an early age so that children grow into individuals who are responsible, have integrity and are ready to face future challenges.

Abstract

Peter M. Blau's social exchange theory remains strikingly relevant for understanding social interactions in Society 5.0, a digitally driven era where core concepts like rewards, costs, profit, and power are amplified and redefined online. This analysis demonstrates the theory's enduring power to illuminate digital phenomena such as e-commerce, the sharing economy, online labor markets, and social media dynamics, revealing user motivations and platform behaviors through an economic lens. While requiring adaptations to incorporate algorithmic mediation, expanded digital resources, and ethical concerns inherent in hyper-connected digital exchanges, Blau's framework provides a vital and insightful lens for navigating both the opportunities and challenges of social life in Society 5.0, offering a robust foundation for analyzing the complex interplay of social and economic forces shaping this new societal paradigm.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics is the study of the relationship between mathematics and culture in everyday life. One cultural tradition that has mathematical elements is Kerapan Sapeh Brujul, which is a cow racing competition held in a muddy area in Probolinggo City, East Java. This research aims to identify and analyze the mathematical concepts contained in Kerapan Sapeh Brujul, including the geometry of the race track, symmetry patterns in cow decorations, as well as calculating speed and load balance on the cow cart frame. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach using observation, interviews and literature study methods. The results of the research show that in Kerapan Sapeh Brujul there are geometric concepts in the design of race tracks and train frames or keleles, patterns and symmetry in the design of cow ornaments, as well as calculations of speed and acceleration in determining race winners. Apart from that, the concept of balance and load distribution on the carriage frame or keleles also influences the stability of the cow when running. The results of this research show that Kerapan Sapeh Brujul is not just a cultural tradition, but also has academic value that can be integrated into culture-based mathematics learning. It is hoped that this research can be a reference for educators in developing learning methods that are more contextual and interesting for students.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of the Qur'ani method and discipline in worship in building the Islamic character of students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Miftahul Ulum Tunggak Cerme. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects included the head of the madrasah, teachers, and students. The results of the study show that the Qur'ani method, which consists of learning to read, memorize, and understand the Qur'an, along with the discipline of worship such as congregational prayer, remembrance (dzikr), and voluntary fasting, effectively shapes the Islamic character of students. Students who actively participate in these programs show improvements in discipline, obedience, and awareness of Islamic values. Additionally, the practice of worship discipline fosters sustainable good habits in students' lives outside the madrasah. However, challenges were identified in maintaining consistency in program implementation, particularly for students who do not live within the pesantren environment and due to limited facilities. The madrasah’s efforts to involve parents and enhance facility support are crucial steps to overcome these challenges. Overall, the implementation of the Qur'ani method and worship discipline has proven effective in building the Islamic character of students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Miftahul Ulum.
