<![CDATA[The aim of this research was to analyse student’s mathematical problem solving abilities in terms of independent learning in rectangular material, specially squares and rectangles. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using a mixed method approach with data collection techniques using triangulation techniques. The data analyse technique was carried out through several stages, namely descriptive statistical analysis, data reduction stage, data presentation stage, and data verification. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII.2 UPTD SMP Negeri 4 Parepare. The test sheets were given directly to 22 students as subjects. Subjects will be selected as many as 3 students based on the results of the analysis of the answer sheets which are indicated to have problem solving abilities. The results of this study indicate that the ability to solve mathematical problems in class VIII.2 UPTD SMP Negeri 4 Parepare based on the independent learning indicator is in the medium category with a percentage of 59.66% with the first indicator, namely the ability to understand problems is in the medium category with a percentage of 52.53 %. The second indicator, namely the ability to determine a settlement plan, is in the very high category with a percentage of 96.21%. The third indicator, namely the ability to carry out the settlement plan, is in the high category with a percentage of 74.75%. The fourth indicator, namely the ability to check again, is in the very low category with a percentage of 15.15%.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of High Order Thinking Skill on the mathematics learning outcomes of students in class XI UPT SMA Negeri 1 Parepare, while this type of research is quantitative research using the Ex Post Facto approach. The population of this study were all social studies students of class XI UPT SMA Negeri 1 Parepare. The sample in this study amounted to 30 respondents by using a sampling technique is Cluster Random Sampling. The research data was obtained using a research instrument in the form of a description test sheet of 2 numbers to determine the HOTS ability and student learning outcomes. The data collection technique used is a test technique. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis of students of class XI IPS UPT SMA Negeri 1 Parepare were 30 respondents where the students' HOTS ability was in the high category with an average student of 74.83 and a standard deviation of 19.84. The score of students' mathematics learning outcomes is in the medium category with an average student mathematics learning outcome of 76.33 and a standard deviation of 20.08. There is a positive significant effect of HOTS ability on mathematics learning outcomes for students of class XI IPS UPT SMA Negeri 1 Parepare at a significant level = 0.05]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to find out that the cooperative learning model of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type had a positive effect on the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII MTS PP DDI As-Salman Allakuang. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study without a control class conducted in one group with a one group pretest and posttest design. The population of this study were students of class VIII MTS PP DDI As-Salman in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year, which consisted of three classes, namely VIII.A, VIII.B and VIII.C. The sample of this study was students of class VIII.B, totaling 33 people who were obtained using the cluster random sampling technique. The research data was obtained using a research instrument in the form of a test of students' mathematics learning outcomes. The results showed that based on descriptive statistical analysis, the average value of the pretest was 43.39 and the posttest was 84.82 and inferential using the one sample t-test obtained a significant ρ = 0,001<α=0,05 this means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type has a positive effect on the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII MTS PP DDI As-Salman Allakuang.]]>

<![CDATA[Student involvement in the learning process is still minimal and the lack of student attention seems very boring. So that all these problems affect students' motivation to learn mathematics. This is caused by the teacher still carrying out the learning process which only uses the lecture method and students do not get the opportunity to be active in learning activities. Therefore, this study aims to increase students' motivation to learn mathematics using the Teams Games Tournaments model at SMP Negeri 12 Parepare.This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of two cycles and each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementing action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research were students of class VIII. C SMP Negeri 12 Parepare with a total of 24 students. The research data was obtained using research instruments in the form of observation sheets to determine the activities of teachers and students in using the TGT model and questionnaires to measure student motivation. The results of the analysis of students' motivation to learn mathematics from cycle I to cycle II experienced an increase. This is evidenced by the average score of students' motivation to learn mathematics in the first cycle of 66.83 in the medium category, while in the second cycle it increased to 87.33 in the high category.So that the TGT learning model can increase the motivation to learn mathematics in class VIII.C SMP Negeri 12 Parepare.]]>

<![CDATA[This type of research is a mixed method research. Aims to determine the effect of numeracy skills on the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII UPTD SMPN 22 Barru. The population of this study were students of class VIII consisting of 5 classes. The sample in this study was class VIII.1, totaling 25 people, using cluster random sampling. This research data was obtained using research instruments in the form of test sheets and interviews. Data collection techniques used are test techniques and interview techniques. The results of the statistical descriptive analysis showed that the numeracy skills of class VIII UPTD SMPN 22 Barru based on indicators of numeracy ability were in the good category with a percentage of 70.2% with the first indicator, namely using various numbers or symbols related to basic mathematics in the good category with a percentage of 72 % as many as 18 students. The second indicator, namely analyzing information presented in various forms (tables, diagrams, etc.) is in the sufficient category with a percentage of 60% for 15 students. The third indicator, namely interpreting the results of the analysis to predict and make decisions, is in the good category with a percentage of 78.6% for 20 students. The results of inferential statistical analysis using the one sample t-test obtained a significant value of p = 0.000 < α = 0.05, this means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So, it can be concluded that numeracy skills have a positive effect on the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII UPTD SMPN 22 Barru.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to find out that the make a match type learning model has a positive effect on improving mathematics learning outcomes of barru district students. The type of research used is a type of experimental research. The variables studied in this study were the mathematics learning outcomes of barru district students. The population of this study were all students of barru district students for the 2023 academic year consisting of five classes.Sampling used cluster random sampling technique, one class was taken from five classes by lottery, namely class VII.2. The instrument used in this study was a validated learning outcomes test. The results showed that there was an increase in students mathematics learning outcomes, based on descriptive statistical analysis the average value of mathematics learning outcomes was obtained before applying the make a match type learning model, namely 45.85, the average value of mathematics learning outcomes after applying the make a match type learning model is match is 72.07 and the average value of the gain is 0.46. Based on the inferential statistical analysis using the One Sample t-test, a significant value was obtained, p = 0.026 < a = 0.05, this means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a positive influence of the make a match type learning model on the learning outcomes of barru district students.]]>

<![CDATA[This research includes qualitative research. This research aims to determine spatial abilities in solving flat-sided geometric shape problems. The trial respondents in this research were 3 students in class IX9 of SMP Negeri 1 Parepare. The spatial ability assessment consists of a test sheet and an interview guide sheet. The spatial abilities produced in this research are indicated to meet the spatial ability indicators. Data analysis in this research went through data reduction, data presentation, and concluding/verification. The research results show that students show spatial abilities (1) Able to compare or connect cubes with blocks. (2) Knowing the number of small cubes that can fill the block. (3) Know how to calculate the volume of the beam.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to find out that the use of problems solving approach has a positive effect on students' abilities in solving story problems on the Pythagorean theorem class VIII.5 UPTD SMP Negeri 18 Barru. This type of research is quasi-experimental without a control class conducted in one group. The variables studied in this study were students' ability to solve word problems on the Pythagorean theorem class VIII.5 UPTD SMP Negeri 18 Barru as the dependent variable and learning using the problems solving method as the independent variable. The population of this study were all students of class VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 18 Barru for the academic year 2022/2023 which consisted of 5 (five) classes. Sampling was carried out by cluster random sampling, from 5 classes one class was taken randomly namely class VIII.5 as the experimental class. The instruments used in this study were tests of the ability to solve the Pythagorean theorem word problems and validated student activity observation sheets. Based on the descriptive statistical analysis, the average score of students' ability to solve the Pythagorean theorem story problems before learning using the problem solving learning method was 63,37 and the average score of students' ability to solve the Pythagorean theorem story problems after learning using the problem solving method was 80,40. Based on inferential statistical analysis using the one sample t-test, a significant value was obtained, p = 0,004 < a = 0, this means that H0 is rejected H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a positive effect of the problem solving learning method on the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII.5 UPTD SMP Negeri 18 Barru.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to find out that the application of the Course Review Horay learning model has a positive effect on the problem solving abilities of class VII UPTD students of SMP Negeri 1 Parepare. This type of research is a type of experimental research. The variables studied in this study were the problem solving abilities of class VII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Parepare as the dependent variable and the application of the course review horay learning model as the independent variable. The population of this study was students of class VII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Parepare for the 2022/2023 academic year consisting of 10 (ten) classes. Sampling used Cluster Sampling or stratified random sampling, from 10 classes one class was taken randomly, namely class VII.5 as the experimental class. The instruments used in this study were problem solving ability tests (pretest & posttest) and validated student activity observation sheets. Based on descriptive statistical analysis, the average value of mathematics learning outcomes before applying the course review horay learning model was 35.63 and the average value of mathematics learning outcomes after applying the course review horay learning model was 72.19. Based on the inferential statistical analysis using the One Sample t-test, a significant value was obtained, p = 0.000 < 0.05, this means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that the application of the course review horay learning model has a positive effect on the problem solving abilities of class VII UPTD SMPN 1 Parepare.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to determine the positive influence of intensity of use on interest in learning mathematics in class VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 4 Parepare. This type of research is Ex-Post Facto. The population in this study were all students of class VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 4 Parepare which consisted of 5 classes. The sample chosen used the Cluster Random Sampling technique to obtain a sample of class VIII.5 which had a total of 35 students. Research data was obtained using a questionnaire sheet. Based on descriptive analysis, the average score obtained from the gadget use intensity questionnaire was 74.14, while the average score from the interest in learning mathematics questionnaire was 79.09. Inferential analysis using simple linear regression analysis obtained a probability value = 0.000. The significant probability value is smaller than α or p<α with α = 0.05 meaning that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This shows that there is a positive influence of the intensity of gadget use on the interest in learning mathematics of class VIII UPTD students at SMP Negeri 4 Parepare.]]>
