Abstract

This study examines the role of mosque youth in enhancing social and religious awareness within their communities. The research utilizes a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, emphasizing community involvement in the development and implementation of mosque youth programs. The study was conducted in several mosques, where mosque youth leaders participated in leadership training, religious programs, and community service activities. Findings suggest that mosque youth engagement in structured religious education and social initiatives contributes significantly to their religious and social development. The leadership training provided to mosque youth leaders helped improve organizational management and increased participation in mosque-based activities. Furthermore, the integration of social media into mosque youth programs proved effective in reaching a broader audience, particularly the younger generation. Despite challenges such as limited resources and varying levels of interest, the study demonstrates that mosque youth can play a key role in fostering social responsibility and religious awareness. The results highlight the potential for mosque youth to contribute to both the spiritual and social transformation of their communities.

Abstract

The increasing demand for food and limited agricultural land in urban areas has prompted the exploration of alternative farming methods. This project focuses on utilizing vacant urban spaces for hydroponic farming as a sustainable solution to address food security and improve community economies. By implementing hydroponic systems in underutilized urban areas, the project aims to increase local food production, enhance community engagement, and promote sustainable agricultural practices. Through participatory action research (PAR), the community members were actively involved in the planning, installation, and management of the hydroponic systems, providing a hands-on learning experience. The results demonstrate that hydroponic systems significantly reduced water usage, maximized space efficiency, and increased crop yield compared to traditional farming methods. Furthermore, the project contributed to economic empowerment by generating income through the sale of produce and fostering local economic growth. The findings suggest that hydroponic farming in urban areas holds great potential for addressing food insecurity while promoting environmental sustainability and economic development.

Abstract

This community service project aimed to address critical socio-economic challenges faced by a rural community through educational empowerment, local entrepreneurship, and leadership development. Using Participatory Action Research (PAR) methodology, the project involved active collaboration between researchers and community members in all stages, from identifying issues to implementing solutions. Educational programs focused on enhancing literacy, vocational skills, and digital competencies, while entrepreneurial workshops aimed to promote local business development. The project also fostered local leadership, encouraging community members to take active roles in decision-making processes. Results showed significant improvements in skill acquisition, business creation, and leadership capacity, although challenges related to resource limitations and gender inclusivity were identified. This research demonstrates that community-driven initiatives, when properly supported, can lead to sustainable social and economic transformations

Abstract

This study explores the concept of Collaborative Education Empowerment in Indonesia, focusing on the active involvement of local communities in the design and implementation of educational strategies. The research employs Participatory Action Research (PAR) to engage teachers, students, local authorities, and community members in identifying educational challenges and co-designing solutions. Key findings indicate that community-based learning initiatives, inclusive education practices, and peer-learning models significantly enhance student engagement, teacher effectiveness, and community cohesion. However, challenges such as limited resources, teacher training, and resistance to change were identified as barriers to sustaining these efforts. The study emphasizes the role of social capital, including trust and cooperation, in facilitating these educational reforms. Policy recommendations are made to ensure the sustainability of these initiatives, including increased government support for teacher development and inclusive practices. The research contributes to the understanding of how collaborative education can address educational disparities and promote more equitable learning environments in Indonesia
