Abstract

Economic growth has brought progress to the business world. The number of retail companies in Batam City has caused competition among competitors. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of service quality and promotion on purchasing decisions. The method used in this research is quantitative research methods. The population in this study was consumers of Indomaret Taman Mediterania Batam, with a total of 100 respondents. Data collection techniques using purposive sampling. Data collection methods by distributing questionnaires. Data were processed using SPSS version 25. Using the classic assumption test analysis techniques, in the form of normality tests, heteroscedasticity tests, multicollinearity tests, T tests, F tests and analysis of the coefficient of determination (R2 ). F test results show that service quality and promotion simultaneously influence purchasing decisions. This is proven by T-Test = 23,943 > F = 3.93. And as evidenced by the Test F = 23,943 > F = 3.93 significant effect on purchasing decisions. The results of this study indicate that Service Quality has a positive and significant effect on Purchasing Decisions. Quality and Promotion of Services simultaneously have a significant effect on Purchasing Decisions. Service Quality has a positive and significant impact on Purchasing Decisions. Abstract

This research was conducted at BMT Nurul Islam Batam with the title: Analysis of the Application of Financial Accounting Standards Statement 102 Murabaha Financing at Baitul Maal Watamwil Nurul Islam Batam. This study aims to determine the suitability of the application of murabaha accounting at BMT Nurul Islam Batam with the Financial Accounting Standards Statement 102 murabaha financing. This type of research uses a qualitative approach. The data collection method uses interviews and documentation, which compares the object of research with the concept of comparison To determine the appropriateness of murabaha accounting practices by BMT Nurul Islam Batam, the standard rules contained in PSAK No. 102 murabaha financing. The results of the study can be seen that the accounting treatment murabaha on BMT Nurul Islam Batam relating to recognition and measurement, presentation and disclosure has been prepared in accordance with PSAK No. 102 murabaha financing.

Abstract

This researh is expected to provide basic information to investors regarding timeliness financial reporting that will be relevant information for investors in business and economic decision making. Based on the case that occurred on the IDX there are several companies that have not published financial statements and have not paid late fees as of December 31, 2018, but in terms of investment growth shows an increased in investment growth from 2017-2018. In line with the increase in investment, of course investors need relevant and timely information because the capital market moves dynamically every minutes. The population in this research is the financial reporting of financial institution in IDX from 2016-2019. Based on sample criteria, there are 56 samples. The results of profitability and solvability of research partially have a significant effect on audit report lag while company size has no significant effect on the timeliness of financial reporting. From the results of the F test it can be seen that the Fcount is compared with Ftable 5,565 > 3,17 and a significant value of 0,002 < 0,05 which simultaneously shows the profitability, solvability and company size have a significant effect on audit report lag.

Abstract

Vehicle speed limiting one of the road safety embankments made so that the driver reduces the vehicle speed. Construction of rapid mounds is only in residential areas, local roads that have IIIC road classes, and roads that are being built. Some problems related to the role of the transportation department in overseeing the manufacture of speed tools in Batam City include the role of the Batam City Transportation Office in relation to supervision and the impact of traffic on making speed bumps. The purpose of this study is to describe the role of the Department of Transportation to oversee the manufacture of vehicle speed limiting devices in the city of Batam, and the impact of traffic on the creation of speed bumps that do not comply with Law Number 22 Year. 2009 on Road Traffic. The main sources of this research are surveys and interviews which are then reviewed by statutory provisions, with an empirical sociological approach. Data analysis uses empirical sociological analysis. Based on the results and discussion related to supervision and the impact of making a speed bump. Abstract

This research analyzes the uncanny phenomenon in “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett. This research aims to identify uncanny phenomenon anid how it is reflected in the story. This research also uses the uncanny theory by Homi K. Bhabha. The researcher collects the data by reading the novel and writes down the data that is matched with the problem that is going to be identified. After the data has been gathered, the researcher analyzed the data with qualitative descriptive method and the result is presented by words and sentences. The result of the research shoiws thiat uncanny phenomenon occurs iin characters through their conversation and activities. The uncanny phenomenon mostly reflected in the maid’s (colored skin) experiences dealing with their boss (white skin). The experiences classified into the differences in using restroom, utensils, eating etiquette, etc

Abstract

Indoctrination as a form of the limit of women’s space which they cannot feel any space of theirs has been restricted because of the traditions that exist in their community. This is reflected to the novel that the researcher will analysis the snow flower and the secret fan written by Lisa Lee. It is represented by the women as the agents of the event, which is they feel that they have to do their custom tradition just to make them look valuable, and this system puts men on the highest rank in the hierarchy roles in the family. This research is done by applying the concept of Barbara Welter which is the concept of woman which said that woman’s movement is being limited by their culture and also by using descriptive qualitative method. In this novel, the indoctrination divided into four parts which is the submissiveness, domesticity, purity and piety. This snow flower and the secret fan is also a representation of feminism because The space of movement in this novel is stricted due to its patriarchal system.

Abstract

This research describes about pragmatics in the specific domain of directive speech acts found in Stranger Things: season 2. The aim of this research is to find out the type of directive speech acts based on Ibrahim's theory in one of the series films. In this research researchers used qualitative methods. Data is collected based on utterances contained in the series of films using observation methods and non-participatory techniques. Researchers use identity methods in analyzing data. The research found several types of directive speech acts. There are 35 data types of directive speech acts consist of requestive (7 data), question (11 data), requirements (9 data), prohibitive (2 data), permissive (1 data), and advisories (5 data). In the data types of data found there are different purposes. The findings of this study indicate that the data most frequently found in types of directive speech are questions.

Abstract

This research is a case study which will discuss about presupposition in the film "Ouija: Origin of Evil". It helps to know the types of presuppositions and dominant types of presuppositions in the Ouija movie. Then the data is analyzed using pragmatic qualitative methods. And the researchers used Yule (1996) Theory to analyze the presuppositions in the Ouija movie. The results of the analysis are presented descriptively with context so that the meaning of pragmatic presuppositions can be released. From the results of the analysis, researchers will find there are 6 types of presuppositions by Yule (1996), namely Existential Presuppsition, Structural Presuppositions, Factive Presuppositions, Non-Factive Presuppositions, Lexical Presuppositions, and Counter-Factual Presuppositions. Structural type of presuppositions appear most often, 5 times. Structural presupposition is a type that is often used in Ouija's story of one of the main characters in the Oujia movie, often using sentences related to questions in conversations with others. Related to the conversation can be assumed as an answer or information the existence of a truth that occurs by the speaker. Keywords: presupposition, types presupposition, movie

Abstract

The purpose of this tscientific work is to analyze the effect of profitability, liquidity, and solvency on prices at manufacturing companies in the Indonesian stock exchange. There are several limitations of the problem in this study, first of the scope will only use the financial ratios of profitability or profitability using the Return On Asset ratio, Liquidity using the current ratio or Current Ratio, and Solvency using the ratio of Debt to Equity Ratio and the effect on Share Prices at Consumption Goods Industry Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2015 to 2019. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression, using the classic assumption test, t test, and f test. Hypothesis results obtained that Return On Assets have a positive influence on stock prices with a value of t count 4.406 and a significance of 0.000, while the Current Ratio has a negative effect on stock prices t count -0.259 with a significance of 0.796 and Debt to Equity Ratio has a negative effect on stock prices with a value of t count -1,141 with a significance of 0.257. The test results of the influence of Return On Assets, Current Ratio, and Debt to Equity Ratio have a positive and significant relationship to stock prices with a value of 27,266 and a significance of 0,000.

Abstract

This studу is aimed at evaluating the performance of laіnd and building tax collection and its contribution to local own-source revenue in Batam Citу. The population in thіs studу land and building tax report from 2016-2019 entirelу or 48 months along with 48 datas. Documentation and the use of secondarу data that obtained on the website sie.penda.go.id and the acquisition of data directlу obtained from the BPPRD Batam office are the main instruments. Data analуsis techniques applied began with the classic assumption test, which consisted of a normalitу test, a multicollinearitу test, a heteroscedactivitу test, and an auto correlation test. Then proceed with the use of multiple linear regression tests consisting of t test or partial test and F test or simultaneous test. Calculation of data analуsis was obtained through the help of SPSS 25. One results, which is partial test showed that the varіable performance of land and building tax collection and its cοntribution siɡnificantlу affected the regional original income, and the results of the simultaneous test also showed that all varіables simultaneouslу affected the regional original income. The coefficient of determination in thіs research has a result of 0.719, which means that 72% of the influence of the independent varіables on the dependent varіable. This leaves as much as 28% which is influenced bу varіables that is not included in thіs studу.
