Abstract

In today's era, every company plays a crucial role in achieving its vision and mission, which is through Human Resources (HR). Therefore, to reach the company's goals, it is essential for each company to motivate its employees to continuously improve their performance and develop. This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture, work discipline, and work motivation on employee performance at PT Bangunan Tangguh Makmur. The research involves 110 respondents as the sample, using a non-probability sampling technique in the form of saturated sampling. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires, and data analysis was conducted through a series of quality tests, including validity tests, reliability tests, and classical assumption tests, such as normality tests, multicollinearity tests, and heteroscedasticity tests. To examine the effects between variables, multiple linear regression analysis and coefficient of determination analysis were used, while hypothesis testing was performed using the t-test. The results show that organizational culture, work discipline, and work motivation have a significant simultaneous effect on employee performance at PT Bangunan Tangguh Makmur.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM), brand image, and product quality on purchasing decisions of MS Glow products in Batam. In the digital era, E-WOM is a key factor influencing consumer decision-making. Additionally, a strong brand image and guaranteed product quality play a significant role in driving purchasing decisions. A quantitative approach was used with a sample of 100 MS Glow consumers in Batam, selected using Slovin's formula, and data were collected through questionnaires. The analysis was conducted using multiple regression with SPSS 25. The results show that E-WOM (regression coefficient 0.582, t-value 12.544, p < 0.05), brand image (regression coefficient 0.626, t-value 12.214, p < 0.05), and product quality (regression coefficient 0.315, t-value 7.268, p < 0.05) have a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions. These findings suggest enhancing brand image, leveraging E-WOM, and maintaining product quality to boost purchasing decisions

Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine the influence of financing availability, accounting knowledge, and digitalization on the performance of Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This study employs a quantitative research approach. There are 81,486 MSMEs registered at the Batam City Department of Cooperatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The research sample consists of 102 MSMEs, determined using the Slovin formula and selected through simple random sampling. The t-test results indicate that financing availability has no significant effect on MSMEs performance, while accounting knowledge and digitalization have a significant impact on MSMEs performance. Furthermore, the F-test results show that financing availability, accounting knowledge, and digitalization together influence MSMEs performance

Abstract

In today’s competitive environment, companies must effectively compete, with human resources playing a crucial role. Employees require training and motivation to perform optimally, enhancing the company’s competitiveness and survival. Key factors influencing employee performance include work motivation, discipline, and workload. This study analyzes the impact of incentives, work motivation, and workload on employee performance at PT Avava Duta Indonesia. A quantitative approach with a descriptive design wasused, involving 196 employees as the sample with saturated sampling. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS 25, including validity, reliability, normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity tests, multiple linear regression, coefficient of determination, as well as t-tests and F-tests. The findings reveal that work motivation (significance 0.001), work discipline (significance 0.007), and workload (significance 0.000) all significantly affect employee performance, with values less than 0.05. In conclusion, incentives, work motivation, and workload positively and significantly impact employee performance, both simultaneously and partially.

Abstract

Shopping through electronic commerce is one of the new methods that are growing rapidly in the current era. Many e-commerce companies provide similar services because e-commerce has an important role in building strong brand equity in the eyes of consumers and displaying the value of the products or services offered. The purpose of this research is to analyse the effect of Shopee brand equity on consumer purchasing decisions in Batam City. This research study uses a quantitative approach. The data testing methods used in this research study are validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression test, determination coefficient test, and hypothesis testing. The data was obtained through distributing structured questionnaires online to 111 respondents representing various age segments, gender, and region of residence. The results of this study indicate that brand awareness, brand association and brand loyalty have a significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions. The coefficient of determination test results show that brand awareness, brand association and brand loyalty have a significant effect on purchasing decisions by 81.2% while the rest is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Abstract

This study examines the factors influencing MSMEs' interest in adopting fintech services in Batam City. Data was collected through online questionnaires and direct interactions, targeting 81,486 MSMEs registered with the Batam Cooperative Office. From this population, 100 respondents were selected using Slovin's formula to ensure representativeness. Statistical methods such as multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing were used, with SPSS version 29 ensuring accurate results. The findings show that the ease of using fintech significantly influences MSMEs' interest, as these services simplify financial management in a practical and efficient way. However, risks such as potential losses from system errors, hacking, or fraud remain major concerns that hinder adoption. Trust also plays a critical role, encompassing aspects like security, the provider's reputation, user experiences, and caution regarding financial risks. Building trust through transparency, user education, and quality customer service can encourage more MSMEs in Batam to embrace fintech services

Abstract

This study is intended to evaluate and test the Influence of Tax Knowledge, Transparency and Quality of Tax Services on the Compliance of Individual Taxpayers at KPP Pratama Batam Selatan. The data analysis method uses quantitative in this study. The number of taxpayers registered at KPP Pratama Batam Selatan was recorded at 427,426 who became the population in this study. By using the slovin formula as a sampling technique. Using 100 respondents who are registered as taxpayers at KPP Pratama Batam Selatan. The data collection uses a questionnaire through a google form with measurements through a Likert scale.. Data processing using the SPSS version 26 program. This study provides the result that partially, Tax Knowledge has a positive and significant impact on taxpayer compliance. Transparency partially does not have a positive and significant impact on taxpayer compliance. And the Quality of Tax Services partially has a positive and significant impact on taxpayer compliance. Simultaneously, Tax Knowledge, Transparency and Quality of Tax Services have a positive and significant impact on the Compliance of Individual Taxpayers at KPP Pratama Batam Selatan.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of brand image, product quality, and electronic word-of-mouth (E-WOM) on purchasing decisions of Emina skincare products through Tokopedia marketplace in Batam City. The rapid growth of the beauty industry in Indonesia's e-commerce sector, particularly in skincare products, has made it essential to understand the factors influencing consumer purchasing behavior. Using a quantitative research approach, data was collected from 204 respondents through online questionnaires utilizing Likert scale measurements. The study employed purposive sampling method and multiple linear regression analysis to examine the relationships between variables. The findings revealed that brand image, product quality, and E-WOM each demonstrated positive and significant effects on purchasing decisions of Emina skincare products. These results provide valuable insights for skincare brands and e-commerce platforms to enhance their marketing strategies, particularly in building strong brand presence, maintaining product quality, and leveraging E-WOM effectively in the digital marketplace environment.

Abstract

This Study aims to examine the impact of work discipline, organizational culture, and incentives on employee perfomance at PT. Lixicon Indonesia, A Contracting company based in Batam City, Riau Islands, Indonesia. Employee perfomance plays a cricital role in ensuring organizational success, particulary in competitive industries. The research adopts a quantitative approach, utilizing surveys distributed to employees across various departments at PT. Lixicon Indonesia. The data is analyzed using multiple regression analysis to determine the individual and collective effects of work discipline, organizational culture, and incentives on employee perfomance with the help of SPSS 29 software. The findings reveal that work discipline significantly enhances employee performance by fostering a sense of responsibility and adherence to company policies, contributing 24.7% to performance improvement. Organizational culture also plays a pivotal role, significantly boosts motivation and productivity, accounting for 42.6% of the performance increase.  Additionally, incentives, both financial and non-financial, are found to act as strong motivators that boost performance when aligned with employees' expectations and company goals, contributing 57.8%.  Simultaneously, these three variables contributed 84.8% to the improvement of employee performance at PT. Lixicon Indonesia, while the remaining 15.2% was influenced by other factors outside this study. The study concludes that three factors collectively contribute to optimizing employee perfomance and recommends strategies for improving their implementation at PT. Lixicon Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine digital marketing, brand image and E-WOM on purchasing decisions for Skintific products in Batam City. This research is used with quantitative techniques. The sampling technique used the lemeshow formula which amounted to 100 respondents with purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires via google form. Descriptive statistical tests, data quality tests, classical assumption tests, influence tests, and hypothesis tests were carried out using the SPSS 29 program. The results of the analysis of the lienar bergnada on digital marketing variables have an influence on purchasing decisions. brand image variables have an influence on purchasing decisions. and E-WOM variables have an influence on purchasing decisions. The coefficient of determination (R2) shows that digital marketing, brand image and E-WOM together can explain in purchasing decisions. the T test shows that digital marketing and E-WOM have an effect on purchasing decisions, but not brand image.
