Abstract

Worm infestation is still a serious problem in Indonesia. Worm infestation is often considered a trivial disease by most people. In this case this disease can reduce the level of health of children e.g. anemia, growth and development disorders, cognitive development disorders, lazy activities and weight gain, The research design used in this research is "descriptive" research, which is a research design that aims to describe present events, carried out systematically and emphasizes factual data rather than inference by conducting surveys on variables. Based on the results of the discussion that has been presented, the researcher can conclude several things based on the objectives achieved in the research conducted at Tunas Mulia Kindergarten, namely that the level of parental knowledge about the prevention of worms in the good category is 41 people (91.1%).The incidence of helminthiasis based on the Sidoarjo District Health Office profile is 7.22 percent or around 174 children out of 2,400 children who were weighed. They were found in 19 villages. It is expected that parents generally have the motivation to increase their knowledge and seek information about the impacts that arise if not treated immediately through counseling and from various media.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is a disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Tuberculosis disease in Indonesia ranks third after India and China. One of the factors causing high TB cases is knowledge and adherence to taking medication. This type of research will be carried out using quantitative research with analytic observational research and cross sectional design. The population of this study were all 27 pulmonary TB patients who took treatment. Data collection used a questionnaire and data analysis used the Pearson Chi-Square test. This test aims to examine the relationship between knowledge level and TB patient medication adherence. It was found that 27 people (100%) of respondents had a good level of knowledge and 27 people (100%) of respondents had a high level of compliance. The results of the Chi-Square statistical test analysis of the relationship between knowledge and adherence to taking medication all respondents (100%) had good knowledge with high adherence to taking medication. No statistics are calculated because knowledge and adherence are constants. The results of this study can be influenced by respondents who have undergone tuberculosis treatment, the number of respondents is small, patients have received information about tuberculosis at the Puskesmas the first time they are treated and the TB program run by the Puskesmas, besides that motivation to recover also influences medication adherence, family support and the role of the PMO is critical to treatment success.
