Abstract

Growth is a change in number due to the addition of cells and the formation of new proteins thereby increasing the number and size of cells in all parts of the body. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between education level and toddler growth in the working area of the Sukorame Community Health Center, Kediri. This research used a cross-sectional approach with a purposive sampling technique. The population is taken from all mothers who have toddlers in July. In accordance with predetermined research criteria, 68 mothers with toddlers were obtained as samples. The results of the Spearman correlation test obtained a significant value (p) value = 0.001 so that p <α, which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that there is a relationship between education level and toddler growth in the working area of the Sukorame Health Center. It is expected that health workers can provide health education, especially mothers who have toddlers, about monitoring and early detection of growth deviations in toddlers. So that the incidence of mortality and morbidity can be reduced or suppressed.

Abstract

Cervical cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the cervix or cervix and is classified as a malignancy that can be diagnosed early, one of which is by carrying out an IVA examination. Lack of knowledge is one of the factors that causes a lack of participation in carrying out IVA examinations. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of audiovisual as an educational medium to increase knowledge and participation in VIA examinations in WUS. The research design is a pre-experimental study with a one group pre test – post test research design. The population studied was all WUS who had had sexual intercourse in the corner village of RT 7 with a sample taken of 32 people using purposive sampling technique. The analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis with the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study obtained ρ value (0.000) ˂ α = (0.05) so that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted meaning that there is an Audiovisual Effect as an educational medium to increase knowledge and IVA Examination Participation in WUS. Based on the results of educational media research through audiovisuals, it increases the enthusiasm of WUS to participate in counseling and is easier to understand so that the implementation of counseling on continuous IVA examinations so that all WUS who have not yet carried out early detection of cervical cancer have awareness to be detected.

Abstract

Childbirth is a physiological process that allows a series of great changes in the mother to be able to give birth to her fetus through the birth canal. During the delivery process, the mother often has lacerations or tears in the perineum. According to a preliminary study conducted at BPM in the working area of puskemas Tanjunganom Nganjuk, it was found that out of 10 maternity mothers, 6 (60%) of them experienced 3rd degree lacerations and 2 (20%) had 2nd degree lacerations and 2 (20%) maternity mothers experienced 1st degree lacerations. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of pregnant yoga on the incidence of perineal lacerations in maternity mothers at midwife’s independent practice palace in the Working Area Of Tanjunganom’s Public Health, Nganjuk Regency 2022. The research method used is quasy experiment with desaign posttest only control design research. The sample in this study was maternity mothers in July until October 2022 who were distinguished between the control group and the treatment group. The results showed that there was an influence of pregnant yoga on the incidence of perineal lacerations in maternity mothers with a value of ρ value 0.000 < α 0.05 with a difference in lacerations of degrees 1 and 3. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that pregnant yoga is very effective in preparing the elasticity of the perineal muscles so that it can help to prevent rupture during the labor process.

Abstract

Breastfeeding is the optimal way to meet nutritional needs for infant growth, and is an ideal source of nutrition containing antibody substances to protect babies from various infections, viruses and fungi. Many failures in breastfeeding are caused by several factors, one of which is lack of breast milk production, maternal psychology and nutritional factors. Thus, it requires a method of knowledge about supporting techniques to facilitate breastfeeding in postpartum mothers. One of alternatives to facilitate breastfeeding is to do breast care using a method of combining neck massage and pectoralis major muscle massage. This study to determine the effect of combination of neck and pectoralis major muscle massage on the production of breast milk in postpartum mothers 1-3 days conducted at the Mandah Community Health Center. This Quasy experimental study used pre test and post design with control group. The population was all postpartum mothers at Mandah Community Health Center with a sample size of 20 taken by purposive sampling technique. The instrument was an observation on breast milk production. Data analysis using Mann Whitney testwith ap value of 0.003 <α 0.05, meaning that there was the effect of neck massage and pectoralis major muscle massage on the production of breast milk. There was the effect of the combination of neck massage and pectoralis major muscle massage on the production of breast milk in postpartum mothers 1-3 days. Midwives are expected to be able to disseminate and apply the combination method of neck massage and pectoralis major muscle massage as an alternative option to facilitate breastfeeding for postpartum mothers 1-3 days.
