Abstract

This research is a research development that aims to produce valid teaching materials, practical and effective for learning mathematics in class VII SMP Negeri 4 Pangkal Pinang. The subjects of this study are students of class VII.D as many as 36 students. With the conclusion that the teaching materials developed in this study are categorized as valid, practical and have potential effect on student learning outcomes in class VII.D SMP Negeri 4 Pangkal Pinang. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yaitu dalam penelitian ini digunakan lembar observasi untuk mengetahui gambaran bagaimana penerapan model pembelajaran Osborn dan menggunakan hasil tes untuk mengetahui kompetensi strategis (strategic competence) matematis siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Osborn. Subjek penelitian ini 40 orang siswa kelas VII.D SMP Negeri 51 Palembang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disumpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Osborn baik untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika pada materi keliling dan luas bangun datar segitiga dan segiempat. Setiap langkah dalam pembelajaran Osborn terlaksana dengan baik namun terdapat satu tahap yakni tahap pengeraman yang tidak terlaksana dengan optimal. Dan berdasarkan hasil tes diperoleh bahwa kompetensi strategis (strategic competence) matematis siswa kelas VII.D SMP Negeri 51 Palembang terkategori baik dan dari ketiga indikator kompetensi strategis (strategic competence) matematis yaitu memformulasikan masalah, merepresentasikan masalah, dan menyelesaikan masalah, indikator merepresentasikan masalah yang paling sedikit tercapai oleh siswa. Abstract

This research aimed to get an overview of the students’ learning result in polyhedral subject through a scientific approach of VIII.11 students in SMP 9 Palembang. Scientific approach is an approach in which students were invited to perform the process of searching the knowledge, to find their own facts, to construct the knowledge, the concepts, and the new values which are necessary for life. This research was descriptive. The results showed that the learning activities using a scientific approach to the polyhedral subject categorized into good with a percentage of 77,46% and the learning result for students’ attitude mastery achieved 70,37%, the learning result for the students’ performance skills mastery achieved 77,78%, and the results of learning for the students’ knowledge mastery achieved 92,59% of 27 students. It can be concluded that the results of learning by using a scientific approach was categorized into good category in learning in terms of the students’ attitudes, skills and knowledge mastery. Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability to understand students' concepts on learning mathematics using generative learning model. This research is a descriptive research. Subjects in this study were students of class VIII.2 SMP Negeri 6 Palembang with the number of students 27 people. Data retrieval is done by using test. The data used in this research is the data of the ability of concept comprehension after doing the test questions to measure students' concept comprehension ability. Problem test is given after the learning process and refers to the concept of understanding indicators. Based on the results of the study concluded that the ability to understand the concept of students who learn with generative learning model is quite good. Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students to solve math problems. This is due to the lack of ability of students in understanding the problem and carrying out up the problem-solving plan with the right method. This study aims to determine the ability of students solving mathematical problems with the use of mind mapping method in bilingual class SMP Negeri 1 Palembang and get some description of the quality of mind mapping used by students in solving problem-solving problems. The subjects of this study are 30 students of class VII.2 SMP Negeri 1 Palembang. This research method is descriptive research. Based on the results of research and discussion it can be concluded that the quality of mind map categorized good with the average value of 76.11 while the ability of students solving mathematical problems with mind mapping method as a whole is categorized good that is equal to 78.93. While the ability of students to solve the problem with mind mapping method as a whole is as much as 35.71% of students in very good category. Based on the results of these studies, it is expected to the school to facilitate teachers and students to be able to carry out learning that can improve the ability to solve mathematical problems and always open with innovative new methods or techniques that drive that ability. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik siswa melalui pendekatan konstruktivisme di kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Banyuasin III. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (action research) yang terdiri perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan tes, observasi dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada saat proses pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan konstruktivisme berlangsung. Abstract

Many recent studies found that students tended to have difficulty in grasping the concept of the operation of decimal numbers, especially on addition. In order to overcome all the difficulties, this study presents a sequence of classroom activities constructing the understanding of decimals addition. Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) underlies the design of the context and the activities. Design research was chosen as an appropriate means to achieve the aim. It will be conducted in three phases, preliminary design, teaching experiment (first and second cycle), and retrospective analysis. This study involves 6 students (first cycle) and 34 students (second cycle); 4 students. The result of this study can show that a sequence of activities can bring students’ learning from the contextual situation to more formal situation. Students did not think about integer number system when doing decimal number problem. They could do every contextual problem with their reasoning. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan soal matematika model PISA pada konten Change and Relationship untuk mengetahui kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa sekolah menengah pertama (SMP) yang valid dan praktis; (2) melihat efek potensial untuk mengetahui kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika model PISA pada konten Change and Relationship di kelas IX.1 SMP Negeri 1 Gelumbang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (development research) tipe formative evaluation. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Gelumbang sebanyak 28 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah walk through untuk mengetahui validitas soal secara konten, konstruk, dan bahasa; dokumen untuk mengetahui kepraktisan soal; tes dan wawancara untuk mengetahui efek potensial soal matematika model PISA pada konten Change and Relationship terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) penelitian ini telah menghasilkan suatu produk soal matematika model PISA pada konten Change and Relationship untuk mengetahui kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa SMP yang valid dan praktis. Valid tergambar dari hasil penilaian validator yang menyatakan bahwa soal sudah baik secara konten, konstruk, dan bahasa. Selain itu kevalidan soal juga tergambar dari hasil analisis butir soal pada siswa non subjek penelitian. Praktis tergambar dari hasil uji coba pada small group dimana sebagian besar siswa dapat memahami soal dengan baik; (2) prototype soal matematika model PISA pada konten Change and Relationship yang dikembangkan memiliki efek potensial yang positif terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa SMP hal ini terlihat dari analisis hasil tes ada 21 siswa dari 28 siswa telah memiliki kemampuan penalaran matematis dengan kategori baik dan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa berdasarkan level soal yaitu: level 1 (75%), level 2 (66%), level 3 (60%), level 4 (56%), dan level 5 (51%). Berdasarkan wawancara dengan siswa bahwa soal matematika model PISA pada konten Change and Relationship ini dapat menstimulasi mereka untuk menghubungkan jawabannya secara tertulis. Abstract

Pembelajaran pada hakekatnya adalah proses interaksi antara peserta didik dengan lingkungannya. Pembelajaran merupakan aktualisasi kurikulum yang menuntut keaktifan guru dalam menciptakan dan menumbuhkan kegiatan peserta didik sesuai dengan rencana yang telah diprogramkan. Dalam pembelajaran matematika sering kita temui adanya siswa yang kesulitan dalam menerima materi yang diajarkan, untuk mengantisipasi hal itu pembelajaran matematika hendaknya dimulai dengan pengenalan masalah yang sesuai dengan situasi (contextual problem). Salah satu pendekatan yang sesuai untuk menunjang guru sebagai guru profesional adalah pendekatan PMRI, sehingga siswa bisa mengkonstruksi pengetahuannya sendiri. Rumusan masalah yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana mengembangkan bahan ajar yang valid dan praktis yang dikembangkan dengan pendekatan PMRI, dan bagaimana efek potensial bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dengan pendekatan PMRI terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (development research) yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar yang valid, praktis dan efektif untuk pembelajaran matematika di kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Pangkal Pinang. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII.D sebanyak 36 siswa. Dengan kesimpulan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini dikategorikan valid, praktis dan memiliki potential effect terhadap hasil belajar siswa di kelas VII.D SMP Negeri 4 Pangkal Pinang. Abstract

This development research was conducted in order to (1) develop valid and practical computer-based interactive learning materials on circles and (2) identify their effect on the leraning outcomes after they learned the materials at SMP Nurul Iman Palembang. The subjects of this research were the 34 students class VII. 7 of this school. The data were collected from walk through, documentation, observation and language. The average results were 87,11%. The materials were practical as shown by one to one try outs. The stedents achieved an average score of 73,33 that feel in the good range, and were involved the learning activities the very active (66,7%) and active (33,3%) ranges. In small group work, the students achieved an average score of 73,33 (good category) and showed levels of very active (50%). The rest were active (16,67%), fairly active (16,67%) and less active (16,67%) resepectively. Based on field test results, the materials gave effect on the students’ potential and learning outcomes. The final results of the students’ achievement were as follow : very good (20,59%), good (58,8%), adn fair (20,59%). In term of their activity levels, they were grouped into very active (27,45%), active (45,10%) and fairly active (27,45%). DOI: https://doi.org/10.22342/jpm.8.1.1861.55-70
