Abstract

The phenomenon currently occurring involves the challenges and opportunities faced by ASEAN countries in managing human resources (HR) in the digital era. These challenges include disparities in access to and utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), disparities in education levels among member countries, and rapid changes in the job market's demands, which are increasingly focused on digital skills. This type of research employs quantitative research methods. The data source used in this study is panel data from 2019 to 2023 with variables including ICT (X1), Education (X2), and Economic Growth (Y). The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression equation with the Least Squares method. The research findings indicate that the fixed effect model is the most suitable for use, based on the Chow test and the Hausman test, which show that all independent variables (X) in this study have a significant positive influence on the dependent variable (Y). The analysis results show a significant relationship between Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and economic growth in ASEAN countries. Thus, it can be concluded that ICT, education, and foreign direct investment are important factors that need to be considered in efforts to enhance economic growth in ASEAN countries. Efforts to improve ICT utilization and increase education levels have a positive impact on economic growth in the ASEAN region.

Abstract

This research focuses on the economic development and unique institutional dynamics of Batam Island, Indonesia, since the 1970s. Initially developed under the governance of the Batam Authority (now BP Batam), Batam has experienced rapid population growth and significant economic expansion, making it one of Indonesia's fastest-growing cities. Despite economic downturns in other parts of Indonesia, Batam has consistently attracted foreign direct investment (FDI) and avoided recessions. The research examines the visionary leadership of B.J. Habibie, whose tenure transformed Batam into a major industrial hub with top-tier infrastructure, and the subsequent economic boom during the 1990s, marked by high growth rates. The study also addresses the dual institutional governance between the Batam City Government and BP Batam, which has led to conflicts in authority over licensing, land management, and assets. Efforts by the central government to maintain Batam's special status while implementing regional autonomy policies are explored, including the transition from a Free Trade Zone (FTZ) to a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) to attract investment. Methodologically, this research utilizes both secondary data from previous studies and primary data from surveys and interviews with Batam's stakeholders, including government representatives, business leaders, and community members. Findings highlight ongoing legal ambiguities, declining investment, economic growth challenges, and social issues. The study provides insights into the perspectives of experts and industry players on Batam's current problems and potential policy solutions for its future development.

Abstract

Managing financial behavior is very important for setting financial priorities and managing money well, but according to surveys, many students don't do it. Often, a person's failure in managing their finances is not caused by low income, but rather due to the individual's lack of knowledge in managing personal finances and excessive living habits. Therefore, financial behavior needs to be paid attention to in order to create a better individual financial situation. Several factors, including Financial Literacy, Hedonic Lifestyle, and personal financial attitudes, can cause this financial behavior problem. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of financial literacy, hedonic lifestyle and personal financial attitudes on the financial behavior of students in Batam City, both partially and simultaneously. The data analysis methods used in this research are multiple linear regression, classical analysis, partial and simultaneous testing. This research is quantitative and uses the SPSS 27 program. Data is collected primary and distributed via Google Form. The research results show that Financial Literacy partially has a positive effect on the financial behavior of students in Batam City; Hedonic lifestyle does not have a positive effect on the financial behavior of students in Batam City; and personal financial attitudes and financial knowledge simultaneously have a positive effect on students' financial behavior in Batam City. The dependent variable is influenced by 84.5% by the independent research variable, and variables outside the research influence the remaining 15.5%.

Abstract

Ticket sales that are still done manually are a big challenge for event managers, as well as the Kalpataru Saka Organization Batam is a scouting organization that stands under the auspices of the Environmental Agency. This organization often holds events such as seminars, scouting competitions, workshops, and social services. With so many activities taking place, the committee finds it difficult to register participants and sell event tickets and recruit volunteers because it is still done manually so that there are many errors in registration and recruitment as well as in ticket sales which are not well organized so that sales are not stable. Therefore, the researcher will design a website that aims as a forum for selling event tickets and disseminating volunteer recruitment information in the Saka Kalpataru Batam organization by using design thinking as data processing, UML as system work modeling, and SDLC as system design processing. Studies show that the system can improve efficiency and user experience when managing events. All required features, such as event sales management, volunteer recruitment, and event and volunteer registration, can be accessed successfully through this website protocol. By determining data processing and system development properly, it will facilitate the system design process as in this study which uses design thinking as data processing so that it greatly facilitates the data collection process so that the website-based Eventvox platform is expected to later become a model for the development of other event management systems, and make a positive contribution to the event management industry.

Abstract

Many countries, including Singapore and Indonesia, face critical issues in water management. With a focus on the respective governments, this research discusses and compares the water management approaches between the two countries. Singapore has used innovative technologies such as NEWater and seawater desalination, as well as a centralized and integrated water management system by the Public Utilities Board (PUB), to achieve water self-sufficiency despite its limited water resources. These methods have enabled Singapore to improve its water security and reduce its dependence on imports. However, with more than 270 million inhabitants, Indonesia, the world's largest archipelago, faces complex problems in water management. Some of the key issues include unequal water distribution, inadequate infrastructure, and widespread water pollution. In Indonesia, clean water management involves community-based programs and different levels of government to improve access and quality of clean water. Singapore demonstrates how centralized management and technology can overcome limited natural resources, and Indonesia seeks to address pollution and distribution through infrastructure development and international cooperation. . The results show that water management strategies must be tailored to each country's geographical, economic and social conditions to be successful

Abstract

In the world of animation, 2D animation is very popular among people from children to adults. Animation is a method that is widely used by editors or animators in the world of cinema today, either for a complete whole between parts of a film or integrated into a live film. The definition of animation also comes from the word 'to animate' which means to move and animate. For example, an object that should be dead is then moved with changes little by little so that it can give the object the impression of life. 2-Dimensional Animation is in the form of moving images that are formed from a collection of objects (2-dimensional images) that have been arranged in a regular manner by following a predetermined movement path at each time increment that occurs. In animation, there are several techniques that can be used to create 2D animation, including Cell Animation, Silhouette, Keyframe, Rotoscope and Stop Motion. Animation has become widely known since television media was able to present moving images. By animating in 2D, one of the Adobe applications is also used in 2D animation, namely Adobe After Effects. Adobe After Effects is used to broadcast television broadcasts and play films to support the necessary software, image editing and 3D animation. Ibis Paint X is an application used by smartphone users to animate 2D by drawing illustrations. Ibis Paint X is an application used for drawing and editing images with various editor features that can be used, such as drawing brushes, filters, fonts and other features that can make it easier for users to create images, even for beginners

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the comparison of cyber incidents involving Web Defacement and Darknet Exposure in Indonesia for the years 2022 and 2023, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the mitigation recommendations provided. The method used in this study is the Wilcoxon statistical test to determine significant differences between the incident rates in those two years. The Wilcoxon test results indicate that the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.008, which, in the case of a one-tailed test, results in a probability of 0.004. This value indicates a significant difference between the Darknet Exposure incident rates in 2022 and 2023. The analysis also suggests that the mitigation recommendations implemented in 2022 were not effective in reducing Darknet Exposure incidents in 2023, as evidenced by an increase in the number of cases. Conversely, for Web Defacement incidents, the Wilcoxon test results show the same Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.008, resulting in a probability of 0.004. This indicates a significant difference between the Web Defacement incident rates in 2022 and 2023. Based on the test results, the mitigation recommendations proved effective in reducing Web Defacement incidents, with a decrease in the number of cases in 2023. From these findings, it can be concluded that cyber incident handling strategies need to be adjusted and strengthened, especially in dealing with Darknet Exposure incidents. Continuous monitoring and evaluation are also crucial for improving the effectiveness of cyber incident management in Indonesia.
