Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of declining employee performance at PT. Z, accompanied by an increase in work accidents in the company, so that an in-depth analysis is needed regarding the relationship between the implementation of OHS and employee performance. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of OHS implementation on employee performance in the manufacturing industry, as well as to provide strategic recommendations for company management in improving the effectiveness of the OHS program. The research method uses a quantitative approach with survey and interview techniques. The population in this study is all production employees, with a sample of 45 production employees of PT. Z determined through a saturated sampling method. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability, and analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method to examine the relationship between variables. The results show that the implementation of OHS has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. OHS indicators such as safe working conditions, OHS education and training, the creation of a healthy work environment have been proven to be able to improve work quality, work quantity, and work time. These findings indicate that the better the implementation of OHS, the higher the productivity and quality of work produced by employees. The conclusion of this study is that planned, consistent implementation of OHS, supported by management commitment, can be a determining factor in improving employee performance. Therefore, companies need to strengthen OHS policies through ongoing training programs, the provision of adequate safety facilities, and periodic evaluations to ensure the effectiveness of their implementation.

Abstract

The phenomenon of students choosing to work while completing their studies has become increasingly common in recent years. The decision to work while studying often presents unique challenges for students. Fatigue resulting from academic and work pressures is a common risk faced by students who are employed. On the one hand, students must fulfill their academic obligations, such as assignments, exams, and projects, which require significant time and concentration. On the other hand, work demands additional time and energy, often involving heavy targets and responsibilities. The combination of academic and professional demands can lead to fatigue among students who are not working. In this context, analyzing fatigue among working students is crucial. This study was conducted on students at one of the universities in Batam. Fatigue was measured using the Fatigue Assessment Scale (FAS) questionnaire. The results of data processing and analysis showed that 2.57% of students were in the very low fatigue category, 9.65% experienced low fatigue, 27.33% experienced moderate fatigue, 47.27% experienced high fatigue, and 13.18% experienced very high fatigue. The results of the Chi-Square test showed that only the level of education had an effect on fatigue, while gender, age, and program of study did not have a significant relationship. The results of the ANOVA test showed that the fatigue experienced by students who were working and studying did not differ by gender and program of study, while for age groups and levels of education, the fatigue experienced by students differed

Abstract

Since 1883, the eruption of Mount Krakatoa in the Sunda Strait has generated destructive tsunamis. The most recent silent tsunami occurred on December 22, 2018, in Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province, killing 437 people. The source of this tsunami occurred suddenly and without any warning signs by the public. We suspect that the tsunami at Mount Anak Krakatau was a longsoran tebing Gunung Anak Krakataue phenomenon, where the side of the volcano collapsed directly into the surrounding seawater, triggering the propagation of tsunami waves. These waves propagated transversely following the ocean-bottom bathymetry structure around the tsunami source to the tsunami-affected area. This study used topographic and bathymetry data from FABDEM and BATNAS, respectively. The resulting landslide generated a tsunami with a height of 0.36–2.76 meters at 13 observation points, and was recorded as reaching a height of up to 27 meters on Rakata Island, located very close to Mount Anak Krakatau.

Abstract

Sleman Regency is one of the regions with extensive agricultural land and the largest rice producer in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. To increase rice production in East Sleman, water services are prioritized. This is achieved through the construction of irrigation networks, including dams, canals, culverts, gutters, and sluice gates. This ensures that the operation and maintenance of existing irrigation channels are prioritized. Operations and Maintenance (O&M) are conducted to monitor the condition of irrigation structures in each irrigation area by calculating the extent of physical damage and maintenance costs. To support smooth operation and maintenance activities, a method is needed that can quickly access information on the condition of irrigation structures in each irrigation area using a Spatial Data System, which provides links via HTML Popup, containing information on the condition of the irrigation structures. Through monitoring, damage and maintenance costs are calculated, including damage to the physical structures, such as river stone masonry and plaster. The total volume of river stone masonry in the East Sleman Irrigation Area is 1,188.20 m3 and plastering 3,599.46 m2, while the costs required for the Operation and Maintenance of River Stone Masonry are @ Rp. 929,298.70/m3 so that it requires a cost of Rp. 1,104,201,265.00 and for plastering @ Rp. 52,116.69/m2 so that it requires a cost of Rp. 187,591,905.00. For data on the operation and maintenance needs of each irrigation area, it is easier to store, manage, and display using spatial data from GIS (Geographic Information System) applications.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the user experience quality and diagnostic accuracy of an Android-based expert system application developed to assist in diagnosing diseases in tilapia fish. The evaluation employed the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) and the Certainty Factor (CF) approach. UEQ results indicate that the application delivers a highly satisfying user experience, with the highest scores on stimulation (1.68) and attractiveness (1.60), both categorized as Excellent. These results suggest that the application provides an engaging and enjoyable interactive experience. Other dimensions such as clarity (1.34), efficiency (1.37), accuracy (1.18), and novelty (1.20) fall into the Good category, indicating the system is intuitive, functional, and reliable, though there is still room for improvement.In terms of expert system performance, the Certainty Factor method successfully delivered relevant diagnostic results. Tricodiniasis emerged as the primary diagnosis with 100% confidence based on the user's selected symptoms. However, the appearance of several other diseases with similarly high confidence scores indicates the existence of overlapping symptoms across different conditions. This highlights the importance of using probabilistic approaches to manage uncertainty in disease diagnosis. Overall, the application demonstrates strong performance in user interface design, user interaction, and expert system accuracy, making it suitable as a supporting tool for diagnosing tilapia fish diseases

Abstract

Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) often face significant challenges in conventional educational settings. This is exacerbated by the lack of accurate early detection and often leads to delayed diagnosis. This results in academic difficulties for children with autism spectrum disorder. The research team proposed a Fuzzy Logic-based conceptual model, specifically applying the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP), as a tool for early detection of autism potential in children. The FAHP approach was chosen due to its ability to handle uncertainty and ambiguity that are closely related to the assessment of child characteristics, thus enabling more objective identification. The data used in this research is sourced from the Kaggle dataset which consists of 6075 records, 14 attributes, and 1 label. The dataset obtained is cleaned and then processed using FAHP. The results of this study are FAHP scores and autism risk levels. The findings indicate that a fuzzy logic-based approach can be used for early detection of autism, although wider empirical validation is needed from experts such as psychologists.

Abstract

This study aims to identify transaction activities that lead to online gambling practices in rural communities using the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm. The data used consists of digital transaction records from the residents of Ciheulang Tonggoh Village, with attributes such as transaction amount, payment method, number of transactions, and total spending. The research process includes data collection, preprocessing, model training, and evaluation using standard classification metrics.The developed KNN model achieved an accuracy of 80% in classifying transactions into “Normal” and “Addiction” categories. Exploratory data analysis also revealed that the majority of transactions fall into the addiction category, characterized by repetitive amounts and high frequency. This model is expected to serve as an early detection system to assist village authorities or social institutions in preventing and monitoring online gambling activities based on data patterns. This research demonstrates the potential of applying machine learning as a technological solution to address social issues in the digital era.

Abstract

Klinik Weiku is a healthcare institution that still employs a manual management system, which poses potential risks of data loss and difficulties in data retrieval. This study aims to develop a web-based information system for patient data management and real-time medical consultations by applying the Waterfall development model, which consists of the stages of planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The main features of this system include online patient registration and real-time consultation services with medical professionals, with three types of users: doctors, who can view and respond to patient messages; nurses, who manage registration data; and patients, who can register and consult online. The technologies used include ReactJS for the user interface (front-end), NodeJS and ExpressJS for the server side (back-end), and MongoDB as the database, with JavaScript as the primary programming language. The system was evaluated through four testing methods: blackbox testing, media expert testing, material expert testing, and user testing. The results show that all features functioned as planned, with material expert testing achieving an average score of 93.33%, media expert testing 91.11%, and user testing 95.0%. Based on these results, the system is deemed feasible for use as a web-based information system for patient data management and real-time consultation services at Klinik Weiku

Abstract

Mathematics learning, especially the topic of fractions, is often a challenge for 5th-grade students. An Android-based mathematics learning Application with gamification elements was developed to address the low interest of these students in the topic of fractions. This research aims to develop a gamified Android-based mathematics learning Application for the topic of fractions. The development methodused the Waterfall Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The Application was designed with the integration of gamification features such as levels and challenges to enhance student motivation and understanding. The Application was tested through five stages: black box testing, compatibilitytesting, media expert testing, material expert testing, and user testing. The results of the black box test showed that all features functioned as planned. The functionality test results indicated that the Application can run properly on all devices with at least Android version 11. The media expert testing showed an average of 100%, and the material expert testing also showed an average of 100%. User testing conducted on 20 5 th grade students at MI Ma’arif surodikraman, Ponorogo, showed a very positive outcome. Based on a 1 to 5 rating scale, the average percentage of user satisfaction reached 90.1%, indicating a high level of acceptance. These results show that the Application functions well and is suitable for use.

Abstract

Skincare products have an important role in facial care because they contain active ingredients that function to overcome various skin problems such as acne, black spots, blackheads, and excess oil. However, in Batam City, the number of skincare products that enter without verification of eligibility raises trade and consumer trust issues. Consumers need tools to understand and choose the right products. The purpose of the research is to design and develop an Augmented Reality (AR) based application to introduce skincare products in Batam City through Android devices, in order to facilitate consumers in visualizing and obtaining information about products in a more interactive and real way. The methodology used in this research involves application development using the Unity platform and Vuforia Engine with the target Android platform. The technology applied is marker-based Augmented Reality, where the implementation process includes 3D modeling of skincare products, integrating product-related information such as functions, how to use, and side effects, and using markers-such as those found in brochures or product catalogs-as a trigger for displaying objects and information in the form of Augmented Reality visuals. The result of the research is an AR application that successfully displays 3D objects of skincare products accompanied by descriptive information. This application runs on Android devices and provides a more real product visualization experience and supports consumer understanding of skincare products.
