Focus and Scope Focus Room of Civil Society Development (RCSD) is a community service-oriented journal that focuses on advancing theories, research, and practices in community participation and empowerment. The journal explores innovative approaches to fostering active participation of communities in development initiatives, integrating science and technology to create sustainable and resilient societies. RCSD encourages submissions that bridge the gap between theory and practice, emphasizing collaborative efforts across various fields to enhance community participation and empowerment. Scope The term "community participation" in RCSD refers to activities that involve community involvement in decision-making, capacity building, and empowerment to address societal challenges. The journal welcomes studies and innovations from various fields, including but not limited to Economy, Education, Health, Environment and Engineering. Economy This scope includes research and initiatives that promote economic development and empower communities to actively participate in strengthening their economic resilience. Topics may include: Community-led development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs); Participatory economic innovation for local empowerment; Capacity-building programs for economic resilience; Community-driven creative and sustainable product development. Education This scope covers studies and programs that enhance educational theories, models, and practices to foster active community participation in knowledge and skill development. It includes formal, informal, and community-based educational approaches. Topics may include: Participatory frameworks and models for community education; Innovations in informal and non-formal education for communities; Literacy programs promoting active community involvement; Education for sustainable development with community engagement. Health This scope emphasizes research and initiatives aimed at promoting community participation in improving health and well-being. Topics may include: Community-driven health awareness and service programs; Models for participatory public health interventions; Rehabilitation and recovery programs involving community support; Health literacy initiatives empowering community decision-making. Environment This scope highlights community participation in addressing environmental challenges and fostering sustainable practices. Topics may include: Participatory natural resource management; Adoption of community-led green technologies for sustainability; Climate change adaptation initiatives involving local communities; Waste management programs driven by community collaboration. Engineering This scope includes engineering research and projects that actively involve communities in the design, implementation, and evaluation of technological solutions to address societal challenges. Topics may include: Development of community-driven infrastructure projects (e.g., water systems, energy solutions); Participatory design and implementation of renewable energy systems; Engineering solutions for disaster risk reduction and resilience; Affordable and scalable engineering innovations tailored to community needs; Smart technologies and IoT for enhancing community participation and services.

Abstract

Baitul Arqam Pemuda Muhammadiyah is the main cadreization activity organized to unite the vision and build an understanding of the values of ideology, system, and movement action for youth in Central Buton. Baitul Arqam activities held by the Regional Leader of Muhammadiyah Buton Central Youth (PDPM Buton Tengah) is in the framework of planting about the ideology of Al-Islam Kemuhammadiyahan, strengthening identity as a youth in Central Buton, increasing commitment and integrity. in developing the potential of youth, and shaping the moral values of superior and Islamic youth. Baitul Arqam participants are the youth of Central Buton numbering 15 people. The methods used in these devotional activities are lectures, demonstrations, simulations, and varied discussions. Assessment of participants' conditions using context, input, process and product (CIPP) models on cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. Based on the results of the analysis, the average score of participants on cognitive aspects was 72.47, affective 74.47 and psychomotor 73.27. Thus, the level of youth understanding of the value of Akhlak and Al Islam and Muhammadiyah is at a good level. This means that the application of Baitul Arqam has an effect on improving the understanding of the values of Akhlak and Al Islam and Kemuhammadiyah for the Central Buton Youth.

Abstract

Overcoming the problem of low student learning outcomes is very important for the development of learning media so that students get good learning outcomes. Therefore, this study aims to determine the development of learning media to improve social studies learning outcomes. The population in this study were all students of class V as many as 22 students. The total value of the learning media development test on student learning outcomes is 0.81, in accordance with the findings of this study that the impact index value obtained is positive. The development of learning media has a significant effect on student learning outcomes. The development of learning media is considered successful if it is able to actively involve students in the learning process physically, mentally, and socially, as well as increase students' self-confidence.

Abstract

The field of Information Technology which is the basis of learning, in this case the basis of the Teacher Working Group is obliged to share about video editing procedures with Filmora. In addition, the existence of a Teacher Working Group organization in Batupoaro District is also a strong reason to help schools that have not yet received an understanding of the Wondershare Filmora software. The method used in this service activity is in the form of socialization and practice. Through training and guidance, it is hoped that the Teacher Working Group in Batupoaro District can make Wondershare Filmora software as a good learning medium to be applied in elementary schools. Abstract

Sebagai sekolah menengah yang turut mengajarkan bahasa Arab dengan metode langsung kepada santrinya, metode dan bahan ajar bahasa Arab di pesantren sangat perlu dimutakhirkan. Hal ini dapat dilakukan melalui pemanfaatan MoU kerjasama antar perguruan tinggi yang ada di pesantren tersebut. Kerjasama kegiatan ini diwujudkan dalam bentuk Praktek Pengayaan Lapangan dengan fokus desain pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Pondok pesantren yang dituju, memiliki beberapa kesamaan fokus dengan visi dan misi program studi. Khususnya dalam hal desain bahan ajar. Kegiatan ini berlangsung selama 1 pekan. Hasilnya, realisasi kegiatan ini menghasilkan rekomendasi bahwa: 1) penyusunan bahan ajar harus mempertimbangkan aspek geografis dan jadwal keseharian pesantren. 2) bahan ajar harus mengandung terjemah dalam 2 bahasa: Indonesia dan Inggris. 3) pengajaran lebih efektif jika melibatkan pengurus pondok dari santri.

Abstract

The development of culture-based character-based education needs to be a regional program, especially for the people of Bukit Wolio Indah Village. In developing culture-based character communication, it has not been fully maximized so that the development of culture-based character education in Bukit Wolio Indah Village in the spiritual, emotional and intellectual fields has not been so balanced and harmonious. In addition, there are many teenagers and young people who apparently do not know or are not familiar with the existing culture-based character education and it turns out that it contains noble character values. The method of this service activity is a descriptive qualitative study method. This method is the result of the author's ideas which are then developed based on theories that are in accordance with the discussion. The results of this service explain that the process of character building based on culture has been able to instill values that are grown and developed in the form of basic cultural values. These values include honesty, trustworthiness, togetherness, tolerance, responsibility, and caring for others.
