Abstract

Problematic financing is referred to as Non-Performing Financing (NPF), which includes financing with delinquent collectability and financing with doubtful collectability that has the potential to become delinquent. This study aims to examine the factors causing Non-Performing Financing and the handling strategies for Murabaha contracts at KSPPS Risalatuna Berkah Sejahtera. To achieve the objectives of this research, the author employs a descriptive qualitative research method. The data collection techniques used are documentation studies and in-depth interviews. In terms of problematic financing, KSPPS Risalatuna Berkah Sejahtera has been ineffective due to factors such as the lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters, which resulted in an uncertain income for the customers. The strategies for handling Non-Performing Financing implemented by KSPPS Risalatuna Berkah Sejahtera include reducing installments, meaning providing long-term settlement time, and lowering profits by using collateral. KSPPS Risalatuna Berkah Sejahtera also seeks to resolve problematic financing through social funds and penalty funds from other customers; however, this is often not done in a timely manner.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) affects the level of efficiency in the audit process in the Islamic-based financial system. Amid the rapid development of digital technology, the use of AI in accounting and auditing practices is becoming increasingly common, including in the Islamic financial sector. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method, namely by reviewing various relevant literature sources, scientific articles, and previous research results. The results of the analysis show that the utilization of AI can speed up the audit process, improve the accuracy of results, and assist in the identification of risks earlier. However, its application still requires control from human auditors to remain in line with sharia principles. This research is expected to be a reference for auditors and Islamic financial institutions in integrating technology wisely while maintaining sharia values.

Abstract

This study is based on previous research and phenomena that still show gaps and inconsistencies, making further investigation necessary to provide novelty. The focus of this research is to analyze how Good Corporate Governance (GCG) through the audit committee, board of commissioners, managerial ownership, and capital structure affects the sharia-based financial performance of banks in Indonesia during 2016–2020. GCG mechanisms such as the audit committee and board of commissioners play a vital role in supervising financial statement preparation, decision-making, and evaluation, which directly influence company performance. Meanwhile, capital structure represents the balance between debt and equity as sources of funding for operational activities. This study uses secondary data obtained from annual reports of Islamic commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and the Sharia Banking Statistics (SPS) published by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The analysis method applied is multiple linear regression, supported by classical assumption tests to ensure validity and reliability of results. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling to represent relevant criteria. Data processing was conducted using EViews version 12 software to obtain accurate and comprehensive findings.
