Abstract

ABSTRACT In the 21st century, digitalization in various aspects of life including education. In Hindu Education and Ethics Learning, on the one hand, this gadget can help but have an impact on grade VIII students. The formulation of the problem: (1) The form of using gadgets in the learning of Hindu Religious Education and Ethics in the formation of religious character of grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Mengwi? (2). What is the impact of using gadgets on the learning of Hindu Religious Education and Ethics in the formation of religious character of grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Mengwi? (3). What efforts have Hindu teachers made to overcome the impact of using gadgets on the learning of Hindu Religious Education and Ethics in the formation of religious character of grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Mengwi?The purpose of this research is to find out the form of gadget utilization, to analyze the impact of gadget use, to find the efforts of Hindu teachers in overcoming the impact of gadget use. The theories used are: Uses and Gratification Theory, Dependency Theory and Character Theory. The data collection method uses observation, interviews, literature studies, document studies with qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study showed that teachers used laptops and mobile phones with WhatsApps, Google, Youtube, Powerpoint, Quizizz and Google Form applications. This gadget has a positive and negative impact on students. Efforts that Hindu teachers can make in overcoming this problem are by supervising, reprimanding, providing ice breaking, providing direction, cooperating with parents and shaping the religious character of students. . Abstract

The dynamics of education in the modern era present complex challenges, especially in fostering students' learning motivation and critical thinking skills. Teachers are required to design active, meaningful, and student-centered learning strategies. This study aims to analyze the implementation of inquiry learning strategies combined with collaborative methods to improve students' motivation and thinking power. With a qualitative approach through literature studies, researchers reviewed various relevant journals, books, and documents to examine the impact of this strategy on student engagement and learning outcomes. The discussion includes an overview of SPI, the advantages and disadvantages of SPI, forms of SPI implementation such as discussions, assignments, experiments, and questions and answers, as well as strategic innovations through collaboration with other approaches such as CTL and Cooperative Learning and Gamification to increase flexibility and effectiveness. The results show that collaboration-based inquiry learning can significantly improve students' motivation, critical thinking, and independence. This strategy is in line with the objectives of the current curriculum which encourages students to become active knowledge seekers.

Abstract

Implementation of a Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach integrated with interactive quizzes in mathematics lessons on whole numbers and place value for third-grade students at SD Negeri 3 Sebatu. The main problems identified included students' limited mastery of the concept of positional value in whole numbers, traditional teaching practices, and limited use of engaging learning media. The research methodology employed a descriptive qualitative approach through case studies. The study took place at SD Negeri 3 Sebatu on July 23, 2025, with 20 third-grade students participating. Data were collected through lesson observations, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of learning outcomes. The research instruments included student activity observation sheets, a rubric for assessing conceptual understanding, and a questionnaire assessing student responses to the learning media. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model integrated with quizzes yielded encouraging results achievement of the target. Students demonstrated significant improvements in learning enthusiasm and active participation, along with improved mastery of the concepts of whole numbers and place value. The interactive quizzes proved effective in increasing student engagement and providing direct learning evaluation. This learning approach successfully transformed the learning process from teacher-centered to student-centered, enhancing analytical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills among students. Benefits of this implementation include increased student active participation, mastery of abstract concepts through contextual problems, and the creation of a fun learning atmosphere. Suggestions for future research include the need for comprehensive training for educators in developing contextual Problem Based Learning problems and developing quizzes with a wider variety of media to accommodate students' diverse learning styles.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the form, function, meaning, and religious educational values of the Baris Jojor Dance performance during the piodalan ceremony at Pura Bale Agung, Desa Pakraman Sekardadi, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a religious approach oriented toward phenomenological, theological, and socio-humanistic understanding. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive qualitative techniques. The findings reveal that the Baris Jojor Dance is a sacred performance (seni wali) traditionally presented in the Dewa Yajña ritual, performed by eight male dancers carrying long spears as symbols of warrior virtues. The functions of Baris Jojor encompass religious dimensions as sacred offerings, social functions as community solidarity, educational roles in character formation, and cultural significance as a medium of heritage transmission. Its meanings reflect the triumph of dharma over adharma, cosmic harmony, and spiritual communication between humans and the divine. The religious educational values embedded include tattwa (philosophy), susila (ethics), and upakara (ritual practice), along with cultural inheritance for younger generations. Thus, the Baris Jojor Dance contributes significantly to strengthening spirituality, morality, and cultural identity within Balinese Hindu society.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of guidance and counseling services in Malaysian elementary schools and to identify adaptation ideas that may be applied in other countries. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted at Sekolah Kebangsaan Telok Panglima Garang, Selangor, Malaysia. Data were collected through interviews with classroom teachers and documentation of counseling programs, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. Data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources, techniques, and contextual description. The findings indicate that guidance and counseling in Malaysian elementary schools are carried out professionally by Full-Time Guidance and Counseling Teachers (Guru Bimbingan dan Kaunseling Sepenuh Masa / GBKSM) using holistic, preventive, and collaborative approaches. Innovative programs such as mentor-mentee, peer counseling, and the utilization of digital counseling have proven effective in supporting students’ academic, emotional, and social development. The success of the implementation is further strengthened by curriculum integration, the establishment of counseling units, national guidelines, as well as active involvement of parents and the community. The study recommends several adoption strategies, including the placement of specialized counseling teachers in elementary schools, integration of counseling services into the curriculum, teacher capacity building, the use of technology, and modifications tailored to local cultural contexts. These findings emphasize that guidance and counseling services play a crucial role in fostering inclusive, high-quality, and sustainable primary education.

Abstract

One of the organizers of Hindu religious education outside the formal education system that serves to strengthen Hindu religious education is the Pasraman. Pasraman Budi Pakerti Nawasena is one of the non-formal Pasraman in Belega Village, Blahbatuh, Gianyar. Pasraman Budi Pakerti Nawasena serves as a forum dedicated to enhancing Hindu religious education, particularly for children. Pasraman Budi Pakerti Nawasena is one of the solutions for strengthening Hindu religious education for the younger generation of Hindus. The study discusses two main problems: (1) What is the form of Pasraman Budi Pakerti Nawasena in strengthening Hindu religious education? and (2) What is the impact of strengthening Hindu religious education carried out by Pasraman Budi Pakerti Nawasena? The theories used to analyze these problems are Structural Functional Theory and Behaviorism Theory. The subjects of this study were the head of the foundation, Pasraman teachers, and Pasraman students. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. The results of the study showed that (1) Pasraman Budi Pakerti Nawasena is a non-formal educational institution for children in grades 3 to 5 of elementary school. The form of strengthening Hindu religious education implemented at Pasraman Budi Pakerti Nawasena includes strengthening of Acara, strengthening of Susila, and strengthening of Acara. The obstacles faced by Pasraman Budi Pakerti Nawasena are the interests of the students. Efforts made include carrying out varied learning activities that prioritize practice or physical activities. (2) The impact of strengthening Hindu religious education carried out at Pasraman Budi Pakerti Nawasena has an impact on students understanding, ethics, and skills related to the Hindu religious education.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the implementation of contextual teaching and learning strategies based on Tri Parartha values in shaping students’ ethics and morals at SD Negeri 1 Tegal Tugu. The Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach connects subject matter to students' real-life experiences, making learning more meaningful and relevant. The Tri Parartha values Asih (compassion), Punia (social generosity), and Bhakti (devotion) are integrated into lesson plans, learning activities, and assessments through thematic approaches, collaborative projects, and reflective practices. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that teachers, school leaders, and the school environment play crucial roles in internalizing these values among students. Teachers act as facilitators and role models of the values, while the principal provides weekly guidance emphasizing the importance of Tri Parartha, and the school culture supports value formation through its policies and facilities. Students demonstrated significant behavioral improvements in helping others, discipline, responsibility, and respect. The conclusion of this study is that the contextual teaching and learning strategy based on Tri Parartha is effective in instilling students’ ethical and moral values holistically. This approach can serve as a model for character education based on Hindu religious values that is applicable, contextual, and sustainable, particularly at the primary school level. Abstract

The Character of the Pancasila Student Profile represents the embodiment of lifelong learners who are competent, possess strong character, and behave in accordance with the values ​​of Pancasila. This research focuses on an in-depth analysis of three main aspects, namely: (1) the implementation of Hindu Religious Education and Character Education in shaping the character of the Pancasila Student Profile; (2) the learning models employed by teachers in developing the Pancasila Student Profile; and (3) the impact of the role of Hindu Religious Education and Character Education teachers in shaping the Pancasila Student Profile. Specifically, this study aims to identify the implementation of Hindu Religious and Character Education learning, the applied learning models, and to describe the impact of the role of Hindu Religious and Character Education teachers in developing the Pancasila Student Profile at SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar. This study employs a theoretical framework encompassing cognitive, constructivist, and behaviorist perspectives. The research subjects include Hindu Religious and Character Education teachers and all tenth-grade students. Data collection techniques used in this study consist of observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive analysis technique. Based on the results and analysis, the study shows that: (1) the implementation of Hindu Religious and Character Education in shaping the Pancasila Student Profile is carried out through comprehensive planning and strategies aimed at achieving character development goals; (2) the main learning models applied include discovery learning, cooperative learning, and project-based learning; and (3) the role of Hindu Religious and Character Education teachers in shaping the Pancasila Student Profile has a positive impact on enhancing students' morality and ethics, sharpening their critical and analytical thinking skills, and forming student personalities that are aligned with the noble values ​​of Pancasila.
