Abstract

Pemberian pupuk anorganik dan organik dapat menyediakan unsur hara yang dibutuhkan oleh tanaman kacang bogor seperti unsur hara P. Sebagian fosfor di dalam tanah umumnya tidak tersedia untuk tanaman. Salah satu bahan organik yang mampu melepaskan unsur hara P adalah arang sekam padi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respons pertumbuhan dan produksi kacang bogor terhadap pemberian pupuk P dan arang sekam padi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lahan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sumatera pada Juli – Oktober 2014. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan 2 faktor dan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama yaitu pemberian pupuk P dengan 4 taraf (0; 30; 60 dan 90 kg SP-36/ha) dan faktor kedua yaitu komposisi top soil dan arang sekam padi dengan 4 taraf (1:0; 1:1; 1:2 dan 2:1). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan sidik ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan. Peubah amatan yaitu jumlah cabang, umur berbunga, bobot polong, dan bobot biji. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk P berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan jumlah cabang, umur berbunga, bobot polong dan bobot biji. Pemberian arang sekam padi meningkatkan jumlah cabang Interaksi antara pemberian pupuk P dan arang sekam padi berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap semua peubah amatan.Kata kunci : pupuk P, arang sekam padi, kacang bogor

Abstract

The aim of the research was to determine the influence of giving liquid biofertilizer and compound fertilizer NPK on the growth of oil palm seedling in pre nursery. The research had been conducted on the land of Agriculture Faculty, Sumatera Utara University, Medan (42 m asl) in February until June 2014, by using Randomized Block Design with two factors, i.e. liquid biofertilizer (0, 5, 10, 15 ml/litre of solvent) and NPK compound fertilizer (0; 2,25; 4,5; 6,75 g/seed). Parameters measured were plant’s height, steem’s diameter, number of leaves, total leaf area, wet shoot weight, wet root weight, dry shoot weight, dry root weight, and the ratio of shoot and root. The results showed that the application liquid biofertilizer with 5 ml/litre of water is better than 0, 10, and 15 ml/litre of water at the same time the application with 2,25 g/seed is better than 0; 4,5; and 6,75 g/seed.Key words : liquid biofertilizer, NPK compound fertilizer, oil palm.

Abstract

The research of survey and mapping nutriens status of P2O5 at Kabanjahe sub-district, regensi Karo, aims to determine the spread of the availability of P2O5 in agricultural areas for plants. The survey was conducted using a free grid survey methode with with density 6.25 ha each of the grid and analysis of P2O5 content of 25% HCl extract. Analysis of the levels of P2O5 done in the laboratory of Research and Technology of the North Sumatra University, Medan. The results showed that the P2O5 classified into 5 criteria such as; very low 18.74 ha, 10 ha Low, Medium 70 ha, 140 ha of high and very high 343.75 ha. From the results obtained by laboratory analysis of soil samples with the highest P2O5 content is 2,376 % and lowest content is 0,016 %.Key words: survey, P status, mapping P2O5

Abstract

Tropic interaction of insect on soil surface and above soil surface on tamarillo (Solanum betaceum Cav.) in the field. The aim of the research were to knew interaction of insect on soil surface and above soil surface on tamarillo in the field and determined kinds of natural enemies and important pests. The research was conducted at Marubun Village Purba Subdistrict Simalungun Regency and Pest Laboratory Faculty of Agriculture University of Sumatera Utara Medan from November 2014 to January 2015. The traps used. were yellow trap and pitfal trap. The result showed that there were 1.544 insects caught in yellow trap (10 ordos and 35 families) and 187 insects caught in pitfall trap 8 ordos and 18 families. The highest relative density of insects in yellow trap was 57.44% and the lowest valve was 0.13%. Where as, the highest relative density of pitfall trap was 39.57% and the lowest valve was 0.53%. Biodiversity a index of Shanon-Weiner (H’) of yellow trap was 1.76 (medium) and the valve of biodiversity index of pitfall trap was 1.85 (medium).Keywords : interaction, pest, Solanum betaceum, trap

Abstract

At Latest ten years, the paddy land at Tangga Batu area is use changed into plantation. This research was conducted to study characteristics of soil at some land uses ( paddy, rubber- cacao, and palm of 1,5 and 10 years old ).Soil sampling is conducted by using survey method. Soil samples are taken as soil sample disturbed and non distrubed at three (3) points in eachs land use randomly. The result showed that there is decreasing of total nitrogen at plantation and increasing of P- available at mixed farm (rubber – cacao). There are no changes of soil characteristics such us like potassiumexchange, pH, soil permeability, soil texture, and soil respirationat some land uses ( paddy, rubber- cacao, and palm of 1,5 and 10 years old ).Keywords: soil characteristics,agriculture land conversion.

Abstract

Rubber need a lot of water for growth and production. One of the effort to converse soil water through pit and vertical much added palm oil empty fruit bunches to absorb, hold water and increased nutrient. The objective of the research to study N soil and leaf concent also chlorophyll of rubber was nine years old with placement vertical mulch in pit. The research was conducted at PTPN III Kebun Silau Dunia, Silau Kahean District, Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatera with the heigh 60-90 metre above sea levels, began from August until December 2014. The research was arranged with a factorial randomized block design consisted of two factors. The first factor was pit lenght with three levels were 200, 300, 400 cm and second factor was provision of palm oil empty fruit bunches with three levels were 200, 250, 300 Kg. The result showed that provision of palm oil empty fruit bunches 300 Kg increased N soil about 14.84 % but pit lenght and interaction of two factors not significant effect to N soil and leaf also chlorophyll.Keywords: pit, palm oil empty fruit bunches, rubber.

Abstract

The aim of the research was to study vegetative growth response of three varieties of palm oil tree at some palm waste as planting medium in pre nursery. The research has been conducted in Kompleks Medan permai on November 2014 to February 2015. The research design used randomized block design with two factor. The first factor was composition palm waste for planting medium (top soil, top soil + fiber 1:1, top soil + empty fruit bunches1:1, top soil + solid decanter 1:1 and top soil + fiber + empty fruit bunches + solid decanter 1:1:1:1) and the second factor was palm tree varieties (Yangambi, Simalungun, and Avros). Result from the research determined that treatment of planting medium significant effect to shoot length and stem diamer (12 and 14 week after showing), shoot wet weight and root dry weight. Yangambi, Simalungun and Avros not responding for planting medium composition. The best planting medium combination from this study were : top soil : fiber : empty fruit bunches : solid decanter (1:1:1:1).Keywords: Varieties, Planting media, palm oil

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan frekuensi aplikasi POC dan pupuk NPK pada tanaman jagung. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok faktorial dengan 2 faktor. Faktor pertama adalah frekuensi pemupukan POC dengan 3 taraf antara lain 1 kali, 2 kali, dan 3 kali ditambah kontrol tanpa pemupukan. Faktor kedua adalah aplikasi pupuk NPK dengan 2 taraf antara lain 185 g/plot, dan 370 g/plot ditambah kontrol tanpa pemupukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa frekuensi pemupukan POC berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, diameter batang dan produksi per plot. Perlakuan aplikasi pupuk NPK berpengaruh nyata terhadap diameter batang umur 15-60 HST dan produksi per plot. Interaksi antara frekuensi pemupukan POC dan aplikasi pupuk NPK tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadaptinggi tanaman, diameter batang dan produksi per plot.Kata kunci: Frekuensi pemupukan, POC, NPK, jagung

Abstract

Survei dan Pemetaan P-Potensial Dan P-Tersedia Terhadap Produksi Tanaman Kelapa Sawit Di Perkebunan Pt Buana Estate Kabupaten Langkat, dibimbing oleh Ir Supriadi MS. sebagai ketua komisi pembimbing dan Prof Dr Ir T. Sabrina MSc. Sebagai anggota komisi pembimbing. Phospor merupakan unsur hara makro yang diperlukan tanaman kelapa sawit untuk mendapatkan produksi yang optimum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh P-potensial, P-tersedia serta produksi tanaman kelapa sawit di perkebunan PT. Buana Estate Kab. Langkat melalui survei sampel tanah. Tanah yang diambil dari lapangan dianalisis di Laboratorium Kesuburan Tanah dan Nutrisi Tanaman Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Padjajaran, Bandung. Penelitian ini dimulai pada 15 Juli sampai dengan 2 September 2014 dengan metode pengambilan data P-potensial dan P-tersedia menggunakan metode survei. Data produksi bobot TBS kelapa sawit diamati dilapang sesuai dengan sampel tanah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa P-potensial memiliki hubungan yang rendah tetapi berpengaruh nyata terhadap produksi kelapa sawit, P-tersedia memiliki hubungan yang sedang tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyataterhadap produksi kelapa sawit. Secara umum unsur hara P memiliki hubungan yang rendah tetapi berpengaruh nyata dengan produksi kelapa sawit dengan Koefisien determinasi dari P-potensial, P-tersedia dan bobot TBS tergolong rendah yaitu nilai R=0.27.Kata kunci :Produksi kelapa sawit,P-potensial dan P-tersedia, survei

Abstract

Evaluation of Inceptisol soil chemical in Gambir Core Garden in the Sub district of Salak Pakpak Bharat District has been conducted from March 2013 to June 2013. This study aimed to evaluate the soil chemical (pH, N, P, K, CEC, Organic Carbon, Exchangable Aluminuim) based on land position on the Gambir Core Garden of Pakpak Bharat District. The method used in this research is descriptive method by conducting surveys and soil sampling based land position on the top of the hill, hillside and part of the valley. The results show the value of N and Organic Carbon are tends to rise in the valley compared to the top of the hill and the hillside. As for the value of CEC and Exchangable Aluminium are tend to rise on the hillside compared to to the top of the hill and the valley, while the value of pH, P and K are relatively same.Keyword: land position, soil chemical, gambir (Uncaria gambir Roxb.)
