Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) implementation on visitor safety and visitor satisfaction at Ancol Dreamland. The implementation of OHS in tourism destinations is an important aspect of creating a safe and comfortable environment while enhancing the quality of visitors' experiences. This study employed a quantitative approach using an explanatory survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 150 visitors of Ancol Dreamland selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that OHS implementation has a positive and significant effect on visitor safety. OHS implementation also has a positive and significant effect on visitor satisfaction. Furthermore, visitor safety has a positive and significant effect on visitor satisfaction. The mediation test results reveal that visitor safety significantly mediates the relationship between OHS implementation and visitor satisfaction. The findings demonstrate that OHS implementation is a strategic factor that can improve visitor safety and satisfaction both directly and indirectly. Therefore, tourism destination managers should strengthen OHS implementation to continuously enhance service quality and visitor experiences. Abstract

This study aims to examine culture-based dynamic capabilities in the governance of tourism destination development in Gunungkidul. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed to explore the complex interactions between local culture, adaptive capabilities, and multi-stakeholder governance. Data were collected through purposive sampling, in-depth interviews, and participant observation involving tourism village managers, government officials, tourism entrepreneurs, community leaders, and local communities. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis, including transcription, coding (open, axial, and selective), categorization, and interpretation. The findings reveal that cultural values such as mutual cooperation (gotong royong), social trust, and local wisdom play a significant role in shaping the destination’s dynamic capabilities. These capabilities are reflected in three dimensions: sensing (identifying tourism opportunities through local knowledge), seizing (developing community-based tourism innovations), and transforming (adapting institutional structures and governance practices). Despite challenges such as coordination gaps and uneven institutional capacity, local culture strengthens stakeholder collaboration through a combination of formal and informal governance mechanisms. This study proposes an integrative model: Culture → Dynamic Capabilities → Governance → Sustainable Tourism Development, and provides practical insights for policymakers to integrate cultural values in enhancing destination resilience and competitiveness. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of infrastructure, MICE market potential, and policy support on environmentally based MICE implementation through the mediation of event success at Kebun Raya Bogor as a conservation-based destination. The research adopts a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. Data were collected from 120 respondents involved in the MICE industry in West Java using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that infrastructure, MICE market potential, and policy support have a positive and significant effect on both event success and environmentally based MICE implementation. Event success is also found to significantly influence green MICE implementation and mediates the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable. Among the predictors, policy support emerges as the most dominant factor influencing event success. Event success is identified as a key mechanism in driving the implementation of green MICE in conservation-based destinations. Therefore, strengthening green infrastructure, enhancing sustainability-oriented market potential, and integrating comprehensive policy support are essential factors for developing sustainable MICE destinations.
