Abstract

This study investigates the influence of the marketing mix (product, price, promotion, and place) on purchase decisions for automotive products at PT. XYZ Sidoarjo. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 150 consumers who had purchased vehicles, spare parts, or services within the last six months. A structured questionnaire measured the four marketing mix elements and purchase decision using a 5-point Likert scale. Multiple linear regression analysis was applied to test the partial and simultaneous effects of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The results indicate that all four elements significantly and positively affect purchase decisions, with price emerging as the most dominant factor. The model’s Adjusted R² value of 0.915 shows that the marketing mix variables explain 91.5% of the variation in purchase decisions. These findings reinforce the relevance of the 4P framework in the automotive sector and highlight the need for integrated marketing strategies. Practically, the study suggests that PT. XYZ Sidoarjo should focus on maintaining competitive pricing, enhancing product quality and innovation, optimizing promotional activities—especially digital marketing—and strengthening distribution channels to sustain competitiveness in a dynamic market. In addition to these findings, the study provides insight into consumer behavior within the automotive industry, particularly in a highly competitive market like Sidoarjo. Consumers are increasingly sensitive to pricing structures, especially given the economic pressures and the availability of alternative brands. Price sensitivity, therefore, should be a focal point in shaping future marketing strategies. Companies need to conduct regular market analysis to ensure their pricing aligns with customer expectations and perceived value.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Curahmalang Village, Rambipuji District, with the aim of determining how the Family Hope Program (PKH) policy is implemented in improving the welfare of beneficiary families (KPM). PKH, as one of the conditional social assistance programs designed by the government, plays a strategic role in poverty alleviation efforts, so it is important to assess the extent to which this policy is effective at the village level. This research used a descriptive qualitative method with policy implementation indicators referring to the George C. Edward III model, which includes aspects of communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. Research data were obtained through primary and secondary data using data collection techniques such as observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that PKH implementation in Curahmalang Village was influenced by these four factors. From the communication aspect, information delivery, clarity, and consistency of communication were considered quite good due to the role of facilitators in bridging the government with beneficiaries. In terms of resources, the availability of facilitators and information was adequate, but the utilization of facilities, especially health facilities, was not fully optimal because some beneficiaries did not utilize them according to their needs. The disposition aspect shows that the implementer's attitude and compliance towards Beneficiary Families (KPM) are relatively good, although some participants are still less committed to fulfilling program obligations. Meanwhile, in the aspect of bureaucratic structure, weaknesses were found, particularly in terms of coordination and cooperation between PKH facilitators and the village government, which has not been running optimally, thus impacting the effectiveness of work patterns.

Abstract

This research focuses on the involvement of community organizations (CSOs) in business activities in Makassar City, emphasizing the dynamics of power relations that develop outside the formal framework of the state. In daily practice, CSOs frequently conduct inspections, symbolic enforcement, and even intimidation against business actors despite lacking official government mandates, resulting in a shift in oversight functions to the informal realm. The aim of this research is to understand how CSOs can gain social legitimacy and exercise pseudo-authoritative authority in the public sphere. To address this, the research methods used include in-depth interviews with 18 informants and analysis of 21 relevant documents. The analysis shows that CSOs' authority is formed through informal socio-political networks that rely on three main factors: community support, closeness to security forces, and local media coverage that strengthens their symbolic legitimacy. This then results in pseudo-authority, a form of de facto authority that is accepted in certain social contexts even though it is not legally recognized. Further findings indicate resistance from business actors and community leaders who question the legality and economic impact of mass organization interventions, which are considered to have the potential to hamper the business climate and create uncertainty. However, the weak response from local governments actually emphasizes the gap in formal oversight mechanisms, opening up space for mass organizations to fill this role. This condition indicates that the authorizing environment is not institutional as it should be, but rather social, contested, and dependent on the dynamics of power relations at the local level. Thus, this study provides a picture of how the pseudo-authority practices of mass organizations are formed, accepted, and questioned in the context of urban social and economic governance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) in supervising the implementation of road infrastructure development programs in Bintan Regency. Using a qualitative approach based on literature studies, this study examines how the DPRD carries out its supervisory function to ensure transparency, efficiency, and accountability in the implementation of infrastructure projects. The results of the study show that although the DPRD has a constitutional mandate to carry out supervision, its implementation still faces various challenges. These challenges include limited competent human resources, weak political will to follow up on supervisory findings, and suboptimal coordination between the executive and the legislature. This condition has an impact on the effectiveness of supervision and the quality of infrastructure development that has not fully met the principles of good governance. This research emphasizes the importance of increasing the institutional capacity of the DPRD through training, strengthening regulations, and utilizing information technology. In addition, public participation in the supervision process also needs to be increased as a form of constructive social control. Thus, the DPRD's supervision of infrastructure development can run more effectively and contribute to the creation of sustainable, transparent, and accountable regional development.

Abstract

This research aims to understand how public perceptions and responses to social conflict are shaped in the digital era, marked by advances in information and communication technology. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and library research methods, this study analyzes various literature, journals, and previous research findings that address the relationship between digital media, social perceptions, and conflict dynamics. The results indicate that digital media plays a central role in shaping public perspectives on social conflict. Rapid, widespread, and interactive access to information makes it easier for people to engage in social issues, both actively through online campaigns and passively as observers. However, this phenomenon also poses challenges in the form of perceptual bias, the spread of hoaxes, and increased social polarization due to the dominance of certain narratives in the digital space. On the other hand, digital media also opens up opportunities for collective awareness, social empathy, and public participation in conflict resolution efforts. Therefore, improving digital literacy and media ethics are crucial factors in building a critical, rational, and peaceful society amidst the complexity of social interactions in cyberspace.

Abstract

The focus of this study is to analyze how the position and role of farming communities contribute to increasing community income in Alkani Village, Wewiku Subdistrict, Malaka Regency. Using a qualitative research method covering research accuracy, focus, data sources, data collection techniques, and data analysis the study describes how farmer groups function as a platform for sharing agricultural information and improving economic outcomes. Findings show that these groups actively facilitate knowledge exchange by introducing modern technologies such as tractors and drip-irrigation systems, and by promoting digital marketing to expand market access. Farmer groups in Alkani Village also serve as regular discussion forums, holding monthly or needs-based meetings where members communicate, share experiences, and address agricultural challenges together. Through training, cooperation, and collective learning, farmer groups operate not only as centers for education but also as agricultural production units that strengthen the local farming sector. Their role in collaboration enhances solidarity among farmers, enabling them to support one another and work more efficiently. As a result, these groups significantly contribute to increasing farmers’ income and improving overall welfare. The study concludes that strengthening farmer groups is essential, recommending continued enhancement of training access, administrative capacity, and active participation from all members to ensure equitable benefits.

Abstract

This paper analyzes the relevance of the Frankfurt School’s Critical Theory in shaping public policy in Indonesia’s trade sector, particularly in the context of implementing Law Number 7 of 2014 on Trade. Using key concepts of Critical Theory—such as alienation, reification, instrumental rationality, and emancipation—this study evaluates how the structure of modern political economy can generate social inequality, the marginalization of small business actors, and the dominance of market-driven logic in national trade practices. A thematic analysis approach based on a literature review is employed to examine relevant scholarly works, including theories from Adorno, Horkheimer, Habermas, and contemporary critical theorists. The findings indicate that trade policies tend to be technocratic, efficiency-oriented, and insufficiently reflective of economic democracy, social justice, and empowerment principles for grassroots economic actors as mandated by the constitution. Such conditions reproduce structural injustices, particularly for MSMEs, which are often marginalized within a competitive trade system dominated by large capital. Therefore, more inclusive, participatory policy designs that are sensitive to structural inequalities are urgently needed. This study concludes that Critical Theory serves as a robust conceptual framework for analyzing power relations within the trade sector while also offering a transformative direction for policy development. Strengthening deliberative public spheres, enhancing MSME protection, and transforming power relations are essential steps toward achieving trade policies that are fairer, more humanistic, and emancipatory.

Abstract

Public service is one of the main indicators in assessing the implementation of government oriented towards the principles of good governance. In the Indonesian context, provisions regarding the government's obligation to provide accessible, effective, measurable, and responsive services have been stipulated in Law Number 25 of 2009 concerning Public Services. However, findings by the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia indicate that the level of compliance of government agencies, particularly local governments, with public service standards remains inconsistent. This study aims to evaluate the extent to which the Makassar City Government meets public service standards in accordance with statutory provisions and to identify internal and external factors influencing their implementation. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis, located in Makassar City at the Manpower Office and the South Sulawesi Representative Office of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia. Informants were selected purposively through in-depth interviews and observations, then the data were analyzed through the stages of reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the fulfillment of service standards has not been fully achieved. This condition is influenced by limited human resources, leadership variables, policy complexity, and minimal community involvement. This research is expected to be a reference in strengthening public service policies by increasing compliance with service standards.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of e-Government within the context of Bawaslu (Election Supervisory Agency) and its impact on governance and public trust. The results reveal that, from the support aspect, the success of e-Government implementation is largely driven by the commitment of leadership, which provides essential policies, human resources (HR) training, and technological facilities. However, challenges remain in terms of limited infrastructure and budget constraints at the district and city levels. Regarding the capacity aspect, Bawaslu already possesses competent HR, particularly among the younger generation, and adequate infrastructure. Nevertheless, there is still a need for improvement in the distribution of employee capabilities through continuous training and mentoring. Lastly, from the value perspective, e-Government has proven to deliver tangible benefits, such as increased efficiency, transparency, accountability, and an enhanced public trust in the institution. However, further efforts are required in areas such as system socialization, maintenance, and data security to maximize these benefits. This research highlights the importance of continuous development in both human and technological resources to ensure the optimal success of e-Government initiatives in enhancing governance and service delivery.
