Abstract

Phototherapy, which includes both phototherapy and therapeutic photography, represents a visual-based psychological intervention that utilizes photographic images as tools for emotional expression, reflection, and meaning construction. The rapid expansion of digital technology has reshaped this approach through the widespread use of smartphones and visual-oriented social media platforms, embedding image production into everyday life. This study aims to examine the theoretical foundations of phototherapy, identify its primary modalities, explore its applications across contexts, and evaluate its relevance in contemporary mental health practice. This research applied a systematic literature review with a narrative synthesis approach. A total of 75 articles were identified through database searches in Scopus, PubMed, PsycINFO, and Google Scholar. All selected studies met predefined inclusion criteria, covering publications between 1983 and 2023 related to photography-based interventions in mental health. The analysis focused on patterns across theoretical perspectives, intervention types, and application settings. The findings indicate that phototherapy is supported by strong interdisciplinary foundations, including semiotics, neuroscience, and memory theory, which explain how images facilitate emotional processing. Various modalities such as projective techniques, self-portrait, re-enactment, and photovoice demonstrate flexibility across clinical, educational, and community contexts. Digital transformation enhances accessibility and participation, allowing phototherapy to extend beyond traditional therapeutic settings. At the same time, the digital environment introduces ethical challenges related to privacy, ownership, and emotional safety. These findings highlight the importance of integrating technological innovation with ethical awareness and culturally responsive practices in the development of phototherapy

Abstract

This study focuses on the construction and analysis of linear codes over a Galois ring with eight elements, motivated by the need to develop error correcting codes beyond finite fields. The objective is to examine how the selection of generator vectors influences the minimum Hamming distance and the resulting error detection and correction capabilities. The methodology involves constructing two linear codes of length four and dimension two using different generator matrices. Codewords are generated through linear combinations of generator vectors, and the minimum Hamming distance is determined by evaluating the weights of all nonzero codewords. The results show that the first generator matrix produces a minimum distance of three, allowing the detection of up to two errors and correction of one error, while the second produces a minimum distance of two, allowing only single-error detection. The findings indicate that code performance is primarily influenced by the linear relationships among generator vectors rather than solely by the presence of zero divisors. In conclusion, careful selection of generator vectors is essential for optimizing linear codes over Galois rings and improving their performance in digital communication systems.

Abstract

The advancement of globalization, the Industrial Revolution 4.0, and Society 5.0 has significantly transformed labor market demands, requiring human resources with strong competencies in both technical (hard skills) and non-technical (soft skills) domains, as well as the ability to adapt to rapid technological changes. In this context, vocational education institutions are expected to align their curricula with industry needs through an industry-based approach. This study aims to analyze the management of quality improvement in industry-based curricula in developing students’ competencies at SMKS Magetan 1 YKP and SMKS 1 Pemda (Ma’arif) Ponorogo. This research employs a qualitative approach with a multi-site study design to gain an in-depth understanding of the processes of planning, implementation, control, and follow-up in curriculum quality improvement. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The analysis involved data condensation, data display, interpretation, and cross-site analysis. Data validity was ensured through credibility, dependability, confirmability, and transferability criteria. The findings indicate that the management of industry-based curriculum quality improvement in both schools is implemented systematically, collaboratively, and adaptively. Planning is conducted through a link and match approach with industry, implementation integrates theory and practice through project-based learning and teaching factory, control is carried out through monitoring, evaluation, and quality audits, and follow-up actions involve curriculum refinement, teacher competency development, and sustainable industry partnerships. These findings confirm that industry-based curriculum management enhances the relevance of vocational education and effectively develops students’ competencies.

Abstract

The proliferation of short-video platforms has fundamentally altered advertising dynamics, compelling marketers to capture user attention within two to three seconds before the scroll moves on. While prior research has explored the experiential dimensions of attention and cognitive flow in TikTok advertising, no study has systematically identified and mechanistically explained the specific visual elements that arrest scrolling behavior and trigger initial attention, a gap that leaves the first causal link in the advertising effectiveness chain theoretically unaddressed. This study employs a qualitative explanatory approach to investigate which visual triggers are most effective in capturing user attention during short-video ad consumption and to explain the cognitive and perceptual mechanisms through which they operate. Drawing on stimulus-based semi-structured interviews with twelve active TikTok users in Makassar City, Indonesia, and guided by visual salience theory, the findings identify four dominant visual trigger categories: (1) dynamic motion and rapid transitions, (2) human facial expression and direct eye contact, (3) high-contrast color compositions, and (4) text overlay and caption placement. The study explains how each trigger operates through distinct perceptual pathways, activating bottom-up attentional capture before top-down cognitive processing can engage. These findings extend Ridha's (2024) phenomenological account of attention experience by moving beyond description to specify the visual mechanisms that initiate the attentional entry phase, a contribution that bridges visual salience theory with digital attention phenomenology in a non-Western short-video market. Practical implications are offered for digital advertisers designing scroll-stopping creative content in the Indonesian short-video market.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze public relations management in enhancing the image of madrasahs through strategic communication, institutional relationships, managerial support, and image-building approaches. The study employed a qualitative approach with a multisite design conducted at two leading madrasahs, namely MAN Surabaya and MAN 1 Gresik. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, combined with cross-site analysis. The findings indicate that strategic communication serves as the primary foundation for strengthening the madrasah image through digital transparency, publication of achievements, and effective social interaction. Individual relationships are reinforced through alumni networks, stakeholder collaboration, and the utilization of digital media that increases participation and public trust. Managerial support is demonstrated through digital security systems, human resource management, and technological integration based on hybrid storage and multi-layer security systems. Image development is implemented through branding strategies, publication of achievements, public relations activities, and the strengthening of visual identity and service digitalization. This study produces a conceptual framework entitled the Community–Vocational Digitalization Model, which integrates community strength, vocational orientation, and digital transformation within public relations management. The model contributes to strengthening institutional reputation, increasing public trust, and improving the competitiveness of madrasahs in responding to the challenges of modern education.

Abstract

Greenium (green premium) is a critical indicator for assessing the efficiency of environmentally oriented financing in the Islamic capital market. However, the sensitivity of this instrument to macroeconomic shocks, particularly the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) and the exchange rate, remains mixed in the empirical literature. This study aims to comprehensively map the scientific consensus on the influence of macroeconomic variables on the price performance of green sukuk and the formation of the greenium component in Indonesia. Using a systematic literature review (SLR) structured according to the PRISMA protocol, 10 relevant scientific articles from reputable databases were analyzed in depth. The review indicates a strong consensus that, in the short run, the IHSG exerts a negative effect on instrument returns through portfolio rotation between equities and sukuk. By contrast, rupiah depreciation has a positive long-run effect by raising secondary-market yields as compensation for higher currency risk. Nevertheless, a substantial research gap remains: no direct empirical evidence has yet tested the relationship between stock market volatility and the greenium component (yield spread) specifically in the domestic market; the available evidence is limited to instrument price performance alone. The policy implications point to the need for restructuring fiscal and tax incentives and differentiating marketing strategies according to retail and institutional investor segments in order to preserve the stability of the sustainable financial market.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital commerce has transformed international trade and created significant challenges for tax authorities in monitoring and collecting taxes from cross-border transactions. In response, Indonesia implemented an 11% Value Added Tax (VAT) on electronic commerce transactions through Electronic Commerce Systems (PMSE) to improve tax compliance, increase state revenue, and establish competitive neutrality between domestic and foreign sellers. This study examines the impact of VAT implementation on cross-border e-commerce transactions using the Etsy platform as a case study. A quantitative case study approach was employed, utilizing secondary data collected from the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT), Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Bank Indonesia (BI), OECD reports, the SEA e-Conomy Report, and publicly available Etsy platform documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive and comparative approaches to evaluate changes in tax revenue, transaction volume, seller competitiveness, and administrative efficiency. The findings indicate that PMSE VAT revenue increased significantly from IDR 3.8 trillion in 2020 to IDR 10.5 trillion in 2022, reflecting a 176% increase within two years. Platform-based VAT collection achieved an estimated compliance rate of 95%, substantially outperforming conventional tax collection systems. However, VAT implementation was associated with a decline in Etsy transaction volume of approximately 15% and increased operational costs for sellers, reducing profit margins and affecting the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The study also reveals that VAT implementation successfully eliminated the price advantage previously enjoyed by imported products, thereby promoting competitive neutrality within Indonesia’s digital marketplace. Nevertheless, fragmented tax collection mechanisms between digital platforms and customs authorities continue to create administrative inefficiencies, compliance burdens, and potential risks of double taxation. The study recommends greater integration between digital platforms, tax authorities, and customs systems to enhance administrative efficiency while maintaining sustainable growth in the digital economy.

Abstract

The increasing adoption of digital technologies in public sector organizations has transformed regional financial management practices while simultaneously exposing local governments to growing cybersecurity risks. In Indonesia, the Regional Government Information System (Sistem Informasi Pemerintahan Daerah—SIPD) has become a strategic platform for integrating planning, budgeting, administration, and financial reporting processes. Despite the widespread implementation of SIPD, previous studies have primarily focused on administrative effectiveness and financial reporting quality, with limited attention given to the role of internal control in mitigating cyber risks within local government information systems. This study aims to analyze the role of internal control as a cyber risk mitigation mechanism in the implementation of SIPD within the Tabanan Regency Government, Indonesia. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed using secondary data obtained from official government documents, public reports, regulatory documents, and relevant academic literature. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to identify the relationship between internal control practices and cyber risk management in SIPD implementation. The findings indicate that SIPD has strengthened the integration of regional financial management processes and supported the advancement of digital governance in Tabanan Regency. Furthermore, internal control contributes significantly to cyber risk mitigation by enhancing user access monitoring, ensuring data accuracy, strengthening system supervision, and protecting digital financial information from potential cybersecurity threats. Effective internal control mechanisms help maintain accountability, system reliability, and information security in digital-based financial administration. This study contributes to the literature by extending the discussion of SIPD beyond financial reporting effectiveness toward cyber governance and information security perspectives. Practically, the findings provide insights for local governments seeking to strengthen cybersecurity readiness and internal control frameworks to support sustainable digital governance and secure public financial management.
