Abstract

: Livebirths and stillbirths are key public health indicators, with significant social and economic consequences. This study applies time series modeling to the quarterly data of livebirths and stillbirths recorded at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, spanning from 2001 to 2020. Using Augmented Dickey-Fuller tests, the data were confirmed to be stationary. Appropriate ARMA models ARMA(2,3) for livebirths and ARMA(1,3) for stillbirths were fitted based on minimum values of AIC, BIC, and HQIC. Forecasts show that livebirths are expected to fluctuate before stabilizing, while stillbirths are projected to remain relatively constants at around 30 cases per quarter. though with wide confidence intervals early in the forecast. However, the relatively low R2 values, especially for stillbirths, suggest that other unmeasured factors such as healthcare access, socio-economic conditions, or maternal risk factors may be influential. These findings underscore the importance of continuous improvement in maternal healthcare, data-driven planning and timely intervention.

Abstract

This paper explores the strategic development and implementation of a quality assurance (QA) framework in the educational sector, grounded in the ISO 21001:2018 standard. As a specialized management system for educational organizations, ISO 21001:2018 provides a structured approach to enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of educational processes. The standard emphasizes alignment between institutional operations and the expectations of learners, educators, and other relevant stakeholders. Through a qualitative library research methodology, this study reviews and synthesizes academic literature, policy documents, and institutional case studies that discuss the application of ISO 21001:2018 within various educational settings. The core principles of the standard stakeholder-centered management, strong leadership, engagement of people, process-oriented strategies, continuous improvement, and evidence-based decision-making are examined and incorporated into the design of a strategic QA framework suitable for educational institutions of different types and scales. The findings reveal that implementing a QA system based on ISO 21001:2018 fosters institutional accountability, promotes systematic performance monitoring, and ensures continuous feedback loops for educational improvement. The proposed framework encourages educational organizations to integrate quality planning into strategic decision-making and to align their mission, vision, and educational goals with globally recognized quality benchmarks. Adopting ISO 21001:2018 as the foundation for quality assurance not only strengthens institutional governance but also significantly contributes to better learning outcomes, stakeholder satisfaction, and long-term sustainability. This study recommends that educational institutions consider ISO 21001:2018 not merely as a compliance tool but as a strategic asset for quality transformation.

Abstract

A number of studies have highlighted the importance of integrating Islamic values in science and social learning in madrasahs, but studies that specifically address the Islamisation of mathematics are still very limited. Most of the current MI curriculum adopts a competency-based approach with very little exploration of the relationship between mathematical concepts and Islamic teachings. This study aims to identify Qur'anic verses related to mathematical concepts, analyse the urgency of applying the Islamisation approach in mathematics learning, and formulate strategies for the integration of Islamic values in the MI mathematics curriculum. This research uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interview method. The research was conducted in several MIs that have implemented or attempted to integrate Islamic values in mathematics learning in West Bandung and Makassar. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, academics and curriculum experts. The interviews were semi-structured to allow the respondents the freedom to express their views in depth. This research highlights the importance of integrating Islamic values in mathematics learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah through the Islamisation of science approach. The results showed that although mathematical concepts in the Qur'an have long been recognised, the implementation of the Islamisation approach in the MI curriculum is still limited. Concrete steps are needed to adopt the Islamisation of science approach in mathematics learning in MI. The government and Islamic education institutions need to work together to develop a more integrative curriculum, provide textbooks that reflect the integration of science and Islamic values, and organise training for educators.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the da’wah strategy implemented by the Majelis Taklim Contact Body (BKMT) of Teramang Jaya District in strengthening Islamic brotherhood. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, this study collected data through observation, interviews, and documentation from BKMT administrators and members. The results show that BKMT implements a holistic da’wah strategy called the 4T strategy, namely: Ta’aruf (getting to know each other), Tafahum (understanding each other), Ta’awun (helping each other), and Takafu (bearing each other). These four pillars are interconnected and have succeeded in creating a strong brotherhood among members. Despite inhibiting factors such as busy schedules and geographical challenges, this strategy is supported by solid management and active member participation. This study concludes that BKMT's 4T strategy is effective in establishing Islamic brotherhood at the local level, and provides an important contribution to the development of an adaptive non-formal da’wah model.

Abstract

Limited teacher understanding, weak team coordination, and the absence of a systematic curriculum management pattern are the main obstacles to the implementation of the Pancasila and Rahmatan lil Alamin Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5PPRA) with the theme Voice of Democracy in madrasas. This study aims to analyze in-depth the management of the Independent Curriculum at MTsN 6 Jombang, including the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages, as well as identifying supporting and inhibiting factors. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation with the madrasah principal, deputy head of curriculum, coordinators, facilitators, and students. The results show that curriculum management is implemented in a structured and flexible manner, with the integration of Pancasila and moderate Islamic values through contextual project-based learning, such as market days and democratic decision-making simulations. Supporting factors include adequate facilities, full support from the madrasah community, and close collaboration between parties. Psychological barriers between teachers and students can be overcome through intensive mentoring. This research contributes theoretically to the field of curriculum management in Islamic education by offering a character project management model based on the integration of national and religious values that is applicable and can serve as a practical reference for other madrasahs. The research findings indicate that adaptive and collaborative curriculum management can increase student engagement, strengthen character, and develop social skills relevant to real life
