Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education is becoming increasingly widespread, offering numerous benefits while also raising ethical dilemmas. This study aims to explore teachers' and students' perceptions of AI implementation in education, highlighting its benefits, challenges, and ethical implications. Using a qualitative approach, the research involved in-depth interviews with 20 teachers and students from various high schools in Indonesia. Data were analyzed using thematic coding techniques to identify key patterns in their responses. The findings indicate that AI can enhance learning efficiency, facilitate curriculum personalization, and support educational administration management. However, concerns exist regarding algorithmic bias, personal data security, and the impact on social interactions in learning. Teachers emphasized the need for clear regulations on AI usage, while students were more focused on the benefits that technology can offer. This study concludes that although AI holds great potential in education, strict policies and ethical guidelines are necessary to ensure its balanced use and to prevent it from replacing the human role in the learning process. These findings provide valuable insights for policymakers and education practitioners in designing more ethical and effective AI implementation strategies.

Abstract

The semantic approach in education is an important method for understanding the meaning and context of texts, especially in religious and philosophical studies. This study examines the work of Toshihiko Izutsu, particularly his book God and Man in the Koran: Semantic of the Koranic Weltanschaung, which emphasizes a deep semantic analysis of the concepts of God and man in the Qur'an. The focus of this research is on how the semantic approach can enrich Islamic religious education by revealing the hidden meanings and complex linguistic structures of the Qur'an. The method used is a literature study and textual analysis of Izutsu’s work, along with its implications in educational contexts. The findings show that the semantic approach provides teachers and students with a contextual and critical understanding of the Qur'an, thereby enhancing the quality of religious education. Moreover, a profound understanding of the relationship between God and man from a semantic perspective helps to shape character and spiritual values integral to education. This study contributes significantly to the development of more interactive and reflective Qur'anic learning methods

Abstract

This article examines the implementation of inclusive education in public schools through interviews with teachers, parents, and students with special needs. The study finds that despite the adoption of inclusive policies, challenges remain in terms of resources, teacher training, and social acceptance within the school environment. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with 15 teachers, 10 parents, and 5 students with special needs in public schools in Indonesia. The findings highlight that while inclusive education promotes equal learning opportunities, the lack of adequate support systems, specialized teaching strategies, and societal awareness hinders its effectiveness. Teachers struggle with adapting curricula and managing diverse learning needs due to insufficient training and resources. Parents express mixed perspectives regarding the success of inclusion, citing both benefits and concerns about their children's academic and social development. Meanwhile, students with special needs often face difficulties in peer interactions and classroom participation. This study underscores the importance of comprehensive policy support, professional development for educators, and collaborative efforts between schools, families, and communities to enhance the effectiveness of inclusive education.

Abstract

: Education in the 21st century demands continuous innovation in teaching methods to meet the diverse and dynamic needs of students. This study aims to explore the motivations and challenges faced by young educators in developing innovative teaching approaches in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 20 young educators from various educational levels, including primary, secondary, and higher education. The findings indicate that the primary motivations for young educators to innovate in teaching include the desire to improve student learning outcomes, create more engaging learning environments, and integrate educational technology to support 21st-century skills. However, they also face several challenges, such as limited resources, a lack of training in educational technology, and resistance to change from colleagues and institutions. These barriers are further exacerbated by rigid regulations and limited access to digital learning tools. These findings highlight the need for sustained support from governments, educational institutions, and communities to create a more adaptive and innovative learning ecosystem. With the right support, young educators can make a significant contribution to shaping a more inclusive and sustainable future for education.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in shaping the future of individuals and communities. However, the perception of education can vary significantly between urban and rural areas due to differences in access to resources, infrastructure, and cultural norms. This study aims to explore the perceptions of education in both urban and rural communities in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with 30 respondents, including students, teachers, parents, and educational leaders. The findings indicate that urban communities generally have a more positive perception of education, often viewing it as a pathway to better career opportunities and economic stability. In contrast, rural communities tend to perceive education as valuable but face significant barriers, including limited access to quality educational facilities, inadequate teaching resources, and economic constraints. These challenges often lead to lower educational aspirations and higher dropout rates in rural areas. The study highlights the need for targeted educational interventions and policies that address these disparities, ensuring equal educational opportunities for all students, regardless of their geographical location.

Abstract

Independence is an important aspect of a child's character development, allowing them to take initiative, take responsibility for their actions, and overcome challenges effectively. Dialogue of faith in Allah Swt , as a process of reflection and internalization of spiritual values, is believed to contribute to fostering independence in children. This article aims to review the scientific literature in the last five years regarding the influence of faith dialogue in Allah Swt on the formation of children's independent character. The method used is a systematic literature review by identifying, selecting, and analyzing relevant articles from various databases. The results of the study show that dialogue of faith in Allah Swt can encourage children to develop confidence, decision-making skills, self-discipline, and perseverance, which are important components of independence. Dialogue of faith in Allah Swt also provides a strong moral foundation for children to act independently while still considering ethical values and social norms. This article provides important implications for children's character education in the family, school, and community environment, by emphasizing the importance of faith dialogue as a means to foster independence based on spiritual values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze learning motivation from the perspective of educational psychology, with a particular emphasis on the role of study habits and the learning environment. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach through library research, the study reviews a range of scholarly literature, including academic books, journal articles, and relevant research findings. The analysis reveals that learning motivation is shaped by both internal factors (such as study habits, self-efficacy, and self-regulation) and external factors (including the physical and psychological aspects of the learning environment). The Self-Determination Theory (SDT) serves as the primary theoretical framework, highlighting the importance of fulfilling three basic psychological needs: autonomy, competence, and relatedness. Effective study habits such as structured planning, self-testing, and time management are found to significantly enhance student engagement and academic performance. Likewise, a supportive learning environment that fosters student autonomy and promotes positive teacher-student relationships contributes to the development of intrinsic motivation. The dynamic interaction between study habits and the learning environment creates a motivational and sustainable educational ecosystem. In conclusion, student learning motivation can be substantially enhanced by cultivating positive study habits and establishing a supportive learning environment, thereby informing the development of more adaptive educational policies and practices.

Abstract

This study investigates how Islamic principles derived from the Qur’an and Hadith such as ihsan (excellence), amanah (trust), accountability, and continuous improvement inform and enrich the concept of educational quality assurance. It aims to examine the relevance of these values to modern quality assurance frameworks and their practical implementation at SMAI Sunan Gunung Jati Tulungagung. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the research utilized document analysis, literature review, and field observation. The findings reveal that Islamic values are deeply embedded in the school’s strategic planning, quality programs, performance evaluation, and work culture, providing both ethical guidance and managerial structure. This integration enhances the effectiveness and integrity of the institution’s quality assurance efforts. The study concludes that harmonizing Islamic teachings with modern quality assurance systems can contribute to a more holistic and value-driven model of educational excellence.
