Abstract

Sengkan, Condongcatur, Depok, Sleman is inhabited by 25% of Muslims and 75% Christian. This study reveals the strengthening efforts of Islamic education conducted by Muslims in Sengkan the obstacles encountered and solutions to overcome the problems through a socio-psychological approach. This is a field research in the form of case studies. The Data obtained from observation, interview and documentation. The analysis is done by data reduction, data display, triangulation and conclusion drawing. The results show that there are three types of patterns of strengthening the Islamic education in Sengkan: first, through weekly religious activities (TPA for Children and Adults), second, selapanan (the religious meeting done in the mosque or house in Sunday night, Wednesday night, and Thursday night by the members of that area) and annual. Obstacles faced in weekly activities for the program of TPA for Children: (1) the development of age, (2) negative effects of technology, (3) the lack of human resources and the donation, as well as (4) the non strategic road access. Problems faced in the weekly activities TPA for Adult: (1) the concept of static activity, (2) the social factors (most of the members of the program are some busy adults), (3) economic factors (middle to lower), and (4) the lack of donation. Problems in holding the the selapanan activities are feeling lazy and troublesome. Barriers to annual activities are laziness and bothering, as well as a large activity budget. The solutions to those problems are: (a) for children's weekly activities (TPA for Children): the revitalization of Ramadhan, monitoring and fiterarization of any technology devices, empowering senior students, circulating religious donation for voluntary by bringing cans going around to every home, providing personal funding from takmir, and utilizing citizens' forums. (b) Solutions on TPA for Adult activities: inviting some speakers to discuss about a certain topic and to find some actual problem solvings, holding those activities in one of the members’ house, bringing own provisions, and donating some money through the turned cans to the houses. (c) Solutions for obstacles to the selapan activities: on Sunday Night (Pahing): using the official invitation and delivering some motivation to the members by the public figures. Evening Activities on Friday: made qurban through regular social gathering, approached when departing and giving motivation. Evening Activities on Friday (Pahing): giving some parcel on the way home and motivated by community leaders to members who are not active. While the solution to the obstacles of annual activity involves in committees and inappropriateness, motivated by figures and sustains funding needs (60% of society and 40% of takmir).

Abstract

The religious practice of a small part of the village community in Banyumas Regency that adheres to the flow of beliefs and teachings of puritarianism tends to be exclusive. One of them is a Muslim aboge. This can create an interactive gap with rural communities in general. On the other hand, the existence of this community still exists and lives in the development of the digital era. This research was conducted to answer two things; first, the concept of defense of the existence of the culture and teachings of the Islamic community aboge in the digital era; secondly, the forms of social interaction carried out by Muslim communities aboge with the people of the Cikakak Wangon Banyumas Village. This research is a field study located in Cikakak Village, Wangon District, Banyumas Regency with a phenomenology approach. Methods in data search using interviews and documentation compiled and reported descriptively. After going through the research stage, there are at least three points that can be concluded, namely: 1) The social interaction of the Aboge community with the Cikakak Village community in Wangon Subdistrict Banyumas Subdistrict takes place dynamically, functionally, and has a specific purpose, 2) The Islamic Community Aboge is no different from surrounding communities, and 3) the Aboge Islamic community makes ghair mahdah worship a means of interaction with other communities.

Abstract

The Indonesian nation is indeed in a situation that is not good in relation to the declining character of the nation's generation. The existence of formal education institutions which are expected to shape the personality of students as good members of society turns out that they have not been fully able to form a generation that has character and noble character. The emergence of modern boarding schools that combine formal education and boarding school education is expected to bring fresh air in an effort to minimize the adverse effects caused by the swift currents of globalization. This research is a qualitative field research conducted by choosing phenomenology as its approach. Data obtained through observation, documentation and interviews. The analysis was carried out using data reduction techniques, data display, triangulation and conclusion drawing or verification. From this study, information was obtained that the Miftahunnajah Modern Islamic Boarding School had a good concept in santri moral formation. This concept includes at least six important aspects, namely noble moral material whose main source comes from the Qur'an and Hadith, moral education goals, moral formation programs, moral reference material, teacher and student qualifications. Two important points in the process of noble moral education are carried out integrally, namely teaching and habituation. Cognitive aspects are obtained through teaching in the classroom while habituation by directly applying the knowledge gained in the daily activities of the santri.

Abstract

Learning motivation is one of the factors that can determine the success or failure of learning, therefore the study of factors that can increase learning motivation is needed, because motivation to learn is an encouragement that makes students have the desire, attention so as to be able to become a driver of students to realize behavior in this case is a behavior for learning. One variable that has an influence on students' learning motivation is the educator's communication style. Thus the purpose of this study is how the influence of the educator's communication style on learning motivation. This type of study is a quantitative study. The sample in this study were 100 students from two schools, namely Al-Firdaus Mertoyudan Middle School students and MTs Mamba'ul Hisan students. The types of data in this study are primary data collected using a questionnaire. Data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling. with the help of SmartPLS software. The results of this study are communication styles that can affect students' learning motivation including manipulative, aggressive, and assertive communication styles. Aggressive communication style has a significant negative effect on students' learning motivation. On the contrary, manipulative and assertive communication styles must be maintained because they can increase students' learning motivation. Meanwhile the non-assertive communication style proved not to have a significant effect on learning motivation.

Abstract

The research aimed at: (1) obtaining the illustration of preparation and development of SDIT ( Integrated Islamic Elementary School) Hidayatullah Yogyakarta education; (2) obtaining the illustration of the preparedness of input aspects especially students’ characteristic, teachers, and infrastructures of SDIT Hidayatullah Yogyakarta; (3) obtaining the illustration of Full Day School teaching process in terms of planning, implementation, assessment, and supervision; (4) knowing the learning outcomes of Full Day School for students’ development especially academic achievement, obedience to practice religious rituals, Islamic morality, and Islamic character of SDIT Hidayatullah Yogyakarta students. The type of the research is program evaluation using CIPP (Context – Input – Process - Product) evaluation model. The approach used was Mixed Method Research. The location of the research was SDIT Hidayatullah Yogyakarta. The data were collected using questionnaire, interview, and observation and analyzed using Descriptive Statistics. Based on the research result, it can be concluded that: (1) the preparation and development made by the school were conducted through 3 activities: providing scholarships for 10 % of the total students who are poor, school’s marketing showed good effect shown by the number of students who had registered had been higher than the number of students who had been accepted, and all stakeholders were involved in developing education. (2) Students’ character : aged between 10-12 years old, 86% had been to TK (Kindergarten), 53,5% students had working parents, 90% students were wealthy and 10% were poor; teachers’ character : 93,3% held S-1 degree from Public Universities or accredited Private Universities, 56% faculty of education, 70% had more than 4-year teaching experience, and 87% had more than 24-hour teaching hours, infrastructure preparedness was good, except that the office infrastructures were not yet perfect. (3) the teaching plan was in good category with the score of 73%, the implementation of teaching was very good with the score of 56%, the study assessment was very good with the score of 86,7%, and the supervision toward teachers was very good with the score of 60%. (4) The learning outcomes were in the form of academic achievement in good category with the score of 78%, students’ obedience to practice religious rituals was good with the score of 59,5%, Islamic morality was in good category with the score of 55%, and Islamic character was in good category with the score of 60%.

Abstract

Islamic Elementary School Al Firdaus as a favorite Islamic private school in Magelang Regency must have a school quality development strategy so as to always create a culture of continuous improvement. Data analysis is done by determining the identification of internal and external issues that influence the preparation of a superior school quality management design strategy. The results of the study concluded that the position of the quadrant from the calculation of IFE and EFE is quadrant 1 or SO (Strength Opportunity). The score of the IFE calculation is (3.01) at the axis axis point in the SWOT quadrant. While the value of the EFE calculation value is (3.26) which is at the point of the ordinate axis in the SWOT quadrant. So that the position of Al Firdaus Islamic elementary school position lies in quadrant I with coordinates (3.01; 3.26) which shows the SO strategy, namely Al Firdaus elementary school must avoid progressive strategies, namely utilizing the strength and capacity it has to take opportunities it faces.

Abstract

This research is about Muhammadiyah boarding schools in Magelang Regency with a qualitative-comparative approach. A comparative approach is used to see two pesantren groups that are different from the management side, namely traditional (salafiyah) and modern (khalaf) pesantren in the Muhammadiyah environment. And to collect data used interview and observation techniques. From this study it was found that Muhammadiyah Islamic boarding schools had readiness to print a cadre of trustees who were well-trained and had advanced Islamic insights. However, in the context of pesantren resources there needs to be improvement and improvement. Of the four pesantren studied. Each has different characteristics both in terms of management and curriculum. In terms of curriculum, pesantren are still searching for the right format, because until now there has been no standard curriculum in the Muhammadiyah boarding school environment. Likewise, the books that have become a handle still have no uniformity between the pesantren.
