Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the work readiness of the younger generation, especially students in grades X and XI of SMK Industri Jababeka, in facing the challenges of an increasingly competitive world of work. This activity is designed to equip participants with essential soft skills, including effective communication, leadership, time management, teamwork, and problem solving, in order to increase their competitiveness and confidence in entering the professional world. The program implementation method includes the preparation stage in the form of a participant needs survey and preparation of training modules; the implementation stage through interactive material delivery, discussions, case study simulations, and teamwork in simulation projects; and the evaluation stage through satisfaction surveys and preparation of activity reports. This activity was attended by 46 participants, with the results showing that 85% of participants experienced a significant increase in understanding and soft skills, reflected in their ability to create a curriculum vitae (CV), carry out job interview simulations, and show improved communication skills, teamwork, and time management. This soft skills training program proved effective in improving participants' work readiness and is expected to become a sustainable model for competent human resource development in other regions.

Abstract

The phenomenon of online gambling is increasingly spreading among students in line with technological advancements and the high usage of digital media. Easy access, anonymity, and the widespread promotion on social media have made students one of the groups most vulnerable to exposure. Despite being illegal in Indonesia, this practice continues to grow through applications and websites that are difficult to curb. Students, as digital natives, often lack the information filters or awareness of the risks associated with online gambling, both academically, financially, and psychologically. This study aims to identify the factors that drive students to engage in online gambling and the impacts it causes. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with five active students from President University across various majors. The interviews were conducted semi-structured, lasting 5–10 minutes per respondent, and analyzed using thematic techniques to explore patterns of triggers, perceptions, and reflections on online gambling practices. The research findings revealed four main themes as drivers of involvement: curiosity and peer pressure, economic pressure, the need for escape from academic stress, and easy digital access. The impacts revealed included a decline in academic performance, disruption in social relationships, anxiety symptoms, and addiction. Although only two of the five respondents had directly participated, all showed a high level of exposure and concern regarding the widespread online gambling in the campus environment. This study recommends the need for contextual digital education, open counseling services, and collaboration between campuses and the government to limit access and enhance digital literacy among students.

Abstract

Generation Z, as a digital-native generation, has broad access to information, including in the fields of finance and investment. However, the low level of financial literacy remains a challenge in shaping a wise and sustainable investment mindset. This study aims to examine the extent to which financial literacy influences the investment mindset of Generation Z in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through an online survey of respondents aged 17–25 years. The main focus of this research is to understand the relationship between the level of financial literacy and the readiness of young people to make rational investment decisions. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of more relevant, practical, and effective financial education strategies for the younger generation in navigating the economic dynamics of the digital era that relevant, practical, and effective financial education strategies for young people in navigating economic dynamics in the digital era.

Abstract

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to focus on the role of risk tolerance as the mediator of accounting information, advocate recommendation, and financial knowledge towards investment decisions on Indonesia mutual funds during Covid-19 pandemic. Design/methodology/approach – This study uses quantitative method with primary data. A 28 items instrument was distribute to various social media such as Telegram, Instagram, Line, and Whatsapp by Google Form. The independent variables were accounting information, advocate recommendation, and financial knowledge. The dependent variables were risk tolerance and investment decisions . This research gathers 338 respondents. Finally, the data analysis use PLS-SEM in the SmartPLS 3.0 application to examine the purpose of this paper. Findings – Risk tolerance does not mediate independent variables (accounting information, advocate recommendation, and financial knowledge) towards investment decisions on Indonesia mutual funds during Covid-19 pandemic. However, Investment decisions is being directly influenced by Financial Knowledge, Risk Tolerance, Accounting Information and Advocate Recommendation. Originality/value – Author believes that this is the first study, which applies accounting information, advocate recommendation toward investment decisions with risk tolerance as the mediator on Indonesia mutual funds during Covid-19 pandemic. Abstract

Penelitian ini mengangkat dilema yang dihadapi mahasiswa dalam memilih antara fokus pada IP tinggi atau mengejar pengalaman praktis melalui kegiatan organisasi, magang, dan aktivitas ekstrakurikuler lainnya. Mahasiswa dihadapkan pada keputusan strategis yang menentukan kesiapan mereka dalam menghadapi dunia kerja yang dinamis dan penuh tantangan. Dalam konteks ini, pemahaman terhadap kelebihan dan kekurangan dari masing-masing pilihan menjadi sangat penting. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan beberapa mahasiswa dan profesional di bidang ketenagakerjaan, ditemukan bahwa kedua pilihan memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kesiapan kerja. IP tinggi kerap dijadikan sebagai indikator administratif, sedangkan pengalaman praktis dianggap lebih mencerminkan kesiapan aktual untuk memasuki dunia kerja. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya keseimbangan antara keduanya. Dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini bertujuan merumuskan pendekatan yang dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam menyusun strategi pengembangan diri yang holistik. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan mampu memberikan wawasan baru bagi mahasiswa maupun institusi pendidikan dalam menyusun program yang lebih relevan terhadap kebutuhan dunia kerja.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the low implementation of English language learning in public elementary schools (SDN) in the Cikarang area. English, as an international language, should ideally be introduced from an early age to strengthen the competitiveness and preparedness of the younger generation in facing the global era. However, field observations reveal several obstacles, such as a lack of competent teachers, limited learning media, insufficient professional training, and the absence of dedicated English teachers in most of the surveyed schools. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach through semi-structured interviews with teachers from five public elementary schools in Cikarang. The results indicate that most teachers come from general educational backgrounds and have not received any specialized English training, leading to a lack of confidence in teaching the subject. Nevertheless, the teachers acknowledge the importance of English and demonstrate enthusiasm for improving teaching quality, as do the students, who show a strong interest in learning the language. This study recommends the provision of regular training sessions, the placement of specialized English teachers, and the development of interactive teaching materials and methods to enhance the effectiveness of English language education in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how educational figures apply personal branding strategies on social media, with a primary focus on Jerome Polin, a popular Indonesian student known for his educational and inspirational content across various digital platforms. The research approach employed a systematic literature review, with journals and articles collected through Google Scholar and Research Gate between 2023 and 2025. The findings reveal that Jerome consistently applies Montoya's eight elements of personal branding strategy, including specialization, personality, uniqueness, leadership, visibility, unity, consistency, and good reputation. The content produced is presented in a light and communicative manner, blending education with humor, making it easy for the audience particularly teenagers to understand the educational messages conveyed. Two-way interaction, consistency in themes, and alignment of personal values with the content shared are key to building a personal brand as an intellectual figure who remains humble. Thus, this study demonstrates that social media-based personal branding strategies can be an effective tool in building a strong and credible professional identity, especially for the younger generation in the digital age. Abstract

The development of digital technology and social media has opened up a new space for the spread of religious values through the presence of religious influencers, especially on the TikTok platform. This research aims to find out how their role affects changes in the religious style of young people in Indonesia. The focus of the research includes communication patterns, the form and content of da'wah content, as well as the response of young audiences to digital religious messages. The approach used is qualitative descriptive through literature studies from 15 scientific journals published in 2020 and above as well as semi-structured interviews with one active influencer and several younger generation audiences. The results show that da'wah through social media presents a more flexible, personal, and contextual way of religion, replacing conservative and institutional approaches. Influencers not only act as preachers, but also as spiritual role models that shape the audience's lifestyle and religious identity. The da'wah approach that is relaxed, visually attractive, and relevant to everyday life makes religious messages easier to accept. Social media is not only an alternative channel for preaching, but also an active space for the younger generation to shape their religious identity in the digital era.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital dalam beberapa dekade terakhir telah memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk dalam ranah keagamaan. Kehadiran media sosial, platform streaming, dan aplikasi berbasis internet memungkinkan umat untuk mengakses layanan keagamaan secara daring (online). Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana kemajuan teknologi memengaruhi tingkat kehadiran jemaat di tempat ibadah dan bagaimana umat mengadaptasi praktik keagamaan di tengah masyarakat modern. Dengan menganalisis sejumlah literatur dan studi empiris terkini, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun teknologi digital membuka peluang bagi inklusivitas dan fleksibilitas dalam beribadah, hal ini juga membawa tantangan terhadap aspek komunitas dan kedalaman pengalaman spiritual. Oleh karena itu, institusi keagamaan perlu merumuskan strategi adaptif yang seimbang antara pendekatan daring dan luring untuk mempertahankan partisipasi umat secara aktif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan persepsi masyarakat Indonesia terhadap ketimpangan sosial yang masih terjadi di Papua dalam konteks penerapan sila kedua Pancasila, yaitu “Kemanusiaan yang adil dan beradab.” Sila kedua ini menekankan bahwa setiap warga negara harus diperlakukan secara manusiawi, adil, dan setara dalam segala aspek kehidupan, tanpa membedakan latar belakang suku, ras, agama, ataupun daerah asal. Realitas di Papua menunjukkan adanya tantangan besar dalam mewujudkan nilai-nilai tersebut. Berbagai indikator pembangunan manusia menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Papua masih menghadapi ketertinggalan dalam bidang pendidikan, layanan kesehatan, hingga kesejahteraan ekonomi. Hal ini menimbulkan pertanyaan besar: apakah nilai-nilai kemanusiaan dalam Pancasila sudah benar-benar terwujud secara merata di seluruh Indonesia? Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner online kepada 104 responden yang berasal dari berbagai kota dan provinsi. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari tiga pernyataan dengan skala Likert (1–5) yang dirancang untuk menilai opini publik terkait kesetaraan akses layanan dasar, penerapan nilai kemanusiaan, serta keadilan dalam perlakuan terhadap masyarakat Papua. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden masih melihat adanya ketimpangan signifikan yang dialami oleh masyarakat Papua. Meski begitu, mayoritas responden juga menunjukkan dukungan kuat terhadap pentingnya perlakuan yang adil dan setara bagi masyarakat Papua, sebagai wujud nyata implementasi nilai kemanusiaan dalam Pancasila.
