Abstract

One aspect of development that must be well stimulated for early childhood is fine motor skills. Various kinds of activities can be carried out in Children Education to improve children's fine motor skills, for example with weaving activities. This study aims to determine the effect of macrame rope weaving activities in improving fine motor skills of children aged 5-6 years at Semesta Semarang Kindergarten. This study used a quantitative method with a one group pretest and post-test research design. The population and sample in this study were children aged 5-6 years at Semesta Semarang Kindergarten, totaling 40 children. Data collection was done through direct observation and question and answer with the teacher. The data that has been collected are processed by normality test, homogeneity test, paired sample T-test hypothesis test, and finally N-gain test using the help of SPSS V.26 data processing application. The average result of pretest data was 59.95 and the average post-test value was 109.6. Then the paired sample t-test hypothesis test was carried out with a significance result of 0.000 <0.05, then H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, that means there was a significant difference in children's fine motor skills before and after treatment. Then through the N-gain test produced a value of 82.8414 or 82.8%, it can be concluded that through makrame rope weaving activities, it has a high effective effect on increasing children's fine motor skills.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the influence of image media barrier game using storytelling methods to improve the speaking skills of children aged 4-5 years. This study used a quantitative approach, namely a preexperimental research type with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The study population was 40 students at RA Melati. The sampling technique used was a descriptive qualitative technique purposive sampling, namely the technique of taking data source samples with certain considerations so that the samples selected are not random but are determined by the researcher. The data collection technique uses observation, questionnaire, assessment scale and documentation. Data analysis techniques using normality tests and linearity tests with hypothesis testing using paired sample T-Test, simple linear regression test, coefficient of determination. The results of the research from the t-test calculation obtained a calculated t value > t table, namely -16.229 and a ttable value = 1.684 df = 39 with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. can be interpreted that there is a significant increase in the speaking ability of children aged 4-5 years after being given treatment with image barrier game media because the calculated t-value is outside the t-table value until Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The results of the data normality test showed a significance value of Asymp sig (2-tailed) of 0.136, which is greater than 0.05, so it is concluded that the distribution is normal. There is a difference in the average value (mean) of children's speaking ability before being given a pretest, namely 72.175 and after being given treatment, namely 101.950, resulting in an increase of 29.77%

Abstract

Many people in Indonesia have a less caring attitude towards environmental cleanliness. Plastic waste is the largest waste produced by Indonesian people. One type of plastic waste is bubble wrap. So this type of plastic is basically usually used for educational needs, especially for early childhood. This research aims to find out whether the use of bubble wrap can stimulate children's fine motor skills at Kindergarten Terang Bangsa 02 Semarang. This research uses a pre-test and post-test experimental design. There were 12 trials in activities to stimulate fine motor skills in early childhood. The population in this study were children aged 4-5 years at Kindergarten Terang Bangsa 02 Semarang with a research sample of 27 students. The results of this study show that there is a level of effectiveness of fine motor stimulation using bubble wrap with the hypothesis H0 being rejected and H1 being accepted. Then the percentage level of the N-Gain score is 58.48%, which means the score is between 0.3 ≤ g ≤ 7 which indicates the category is quite effective. In conclusion, the use of bubble wrap is quite effective in providing stimulation to the fine motor skills of young children at Kindergarten Terang Bangsa 02 Semarang.

Abstract

In cases of sexual harassment that have occurred, both victims and perpetrators are not limited to adults but also include children. The existence of such acts of sexual harassment highlights the urgency of implementing child protection efforts. One preventive measure to reduce cases of sexual harassment is by increasing children's knowledge of sexual harassment from an early age. Therefore, this study aims to develop a sex education medium in the form of a board game to improve young children's understanding of sexual harassment. This medium is designed to help learners and educators comprehend three essential aspects of sex education: recognition of body parts, identification of body parts that may and may not be touched, and appropriate ways to act, react, and speak in situations with tendencies of sexual exploitation. The development method used is Research and Development (R&D), which includes the stages of identifying potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, limited product trials, product revision, and large-scale product testing conducted with 30 kindergarten B students at TK Al-Hikmah Krasak. The trial results show that the SAPA JADI sex education big board game has a significant impact on increasing students' knowledge regarding sexual abuse prevention
