Abstract

Autism is a severe developmental disorder that occurs throughout life, but this behavior can be reduced with proper handling and care from parents, family, and society. The right efforts made to autistic children will affect their growth and development to be better and more useful. The family, especially the mother, is a very important figure who influences the process of child growth and development. Mothers who educate and care for children with warmth will certainly have a more positive impact on children compared to mothers who do it as a duty or just an obligation without involving warmth. The purpose of this study was to determine the coping strategies of mothers who have autistic children and to determine the factors that influence coping strategies. This study uses a qualitative method. The subjects of the study or someone who provides information are mothers who have early childhood children and their neighbors by conducting interviews. Based on the results of the research and discussion that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the coping strategies used are problem focus coping in the form of exercised (cautiousness), emotional focus coping which is done by changing thoughts from being disappointed and sad and finally becoming an acceptance which is done by finding the meaning of the failure experienced by themselves and trying to be grateful (seeking meaning) and another form is escape avoidance or avoiding oneself, which is done in the early days when their child was diagnosed with autism which then tries to grow awareness of oneself of responsibility for the child (accepting responsibility). Factors that influence coping strategies are internal factors and external factors. Internal factors that influence are age and self-awareness of responsibility as a mother. The external factors are family support or social support, education level and economic conditions

Therefore, this study aims to determine the increase in science and mathematics skills in early childhood. This study uses a quantitative method with Pre-Experiment. This study uses a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data analysis techniques used normality tests, average increase tests (N-Gain) and average difference tests (t-test). The data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis, hypothesis testing through the Paired Sample t-Test and the N-Gain Test. All calculations were performed using SPSS IMB 26. The science and mathematics ability before being given treatment was 51.75 then after being given treatment of school environmental exploration learning increased to 95.50. The amount of increase before and after being given treatment was 43.75. Based on statistical calculations through the Paired Sample t-Test, it shows that the calculated t must be smaller than the t table (t calculated < t table) and sig <0.05. The results show that the calculated t <t table is -22.682 <2.093 and sig 0.000 < 0.05 so that Ha is accepted. Based on the results of the N-Gain test, it was obtained as much as 0.9073 which means there is an average increase in the pretest and posttest scores with a high category. The conclusion in this study is that environmental exploration learning is effective in improving science and mathematics abilities in early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the social sensitivity that comes from the care of grandparents in early childhood, where this analysis is based on aspects of social sensitivity, namely helping, self-awareness, and cooperation. Social sensitivity is a person's action to react quickly and appropriately to objects or social situations that exist in the surrounding environment. Based on the results of direct observations, it was found that the social sensitivity of young children is still not well developed. This research uses qualitative methods with interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The subjects in this study were grandmothers and grandfathers of early childhood in Sukoharjo. The results of this research show that young children have social sensitivity which is dominant in the aspect of helping. Based on the research results, the forms of grandparent care for early childhood are companionate and involved, because companionate is a form of grandparent care that is not fully involved in the individual's life because the parent still plays a role. Meanwhile, parenting is involved where grandparents are like parents of early childhood without any parenting involvement. This is because there are differences in the transition of care that occurs due to work factors and death factors.

Abstract

This research is a case study research using a descriptive qualitative approach. The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of literacy movement in lower grades at SD Negeri 3 Pekuncen. In addition, this study also aims to determine the supporting factors and inhibiting factors in the implementation of school literacy movement at SD Negeri 3 Pekuncen. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques use the version of Miles and Huberman (1994), namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The primary data sources obtained by researchers from field observations and direct interviews with the principal and teachers of grades 1 to 4 of SD Negeri 3 Pekuncen. While the secondary data obtained by researchers are supporting documents in the form of RPP or learning implementation plans. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the literacy movement of reading and writing in the lower grades at SD Negeri 3 Pekuncen was carried out through habituation activities. This habituation activity was carried out 15 minutes before starting teaching and learning activities in the form of reading books for 15 minutes. However, in the research conducted by the researcher, there were several errors in the implementation of the literacy movement that had been running previously, this can be seen from the lower grades who could not read but were required to read 15 minutes before the implementation of teaching and learning activities. These are several factors that influence the implementation of the school literacy movement at SD Negeri 3 Pekuncen. These factors are supporting factors and inhibiting factors.

Abstract

Literacy is defined as the ability to recognise written symbols and form meaningful sentences. To cultivate public interest in reading, the government has implemented a range of initiatives. One such initiative is the National Literacy Movement. As a non-governmental organisation engaged in social humanitarian work, AMURT participated in this effort by launching the Reading Book Programme to cultivate reading literacy. The present study aims to examine the program's implementation at Permata Bangsa Islamic Kindergarten in Semarang, as well as the factors that support or inhibit early reading literacy. The present study employed a qualitative descriptive method. A data set was collected from the principal, teaching staff, and the student guardians at Permata Bangsa Islamic Kindergarten. The data presented herein were collected through a combination of interviews, observations, and a documentary study. The interactive analysis technique pioneered by Miles and Huberman was utilised for the purposes of data analysis. The findings indicated that the AMURT Reading Book Programme is operationalised at Permata Bangsa Islamic Kindergarten through three activities: the lending of reading books, the utilisation of books as educational resources, and the establishment of reading corners. Supporting factors include various parties' support, strengthened governance, optimal utilization of facilities by the school, and both parties' commitment to maintaining the reading books.
