Abstract

This study aims to redesign the paving block industrial building in Buata Village by applying a minimalist architectural approach. The development of the paving block industry sector in an area is very important to support the needs of building materials. This research aims to redesign the paving block industry building using a minimalist architectural approach, this research was conducted from August to November 2023 at CV Shohat in Buata Village, Botupingee District, Bone Bolanggo Regency. This research method uses data collection and discussion methods, as well as the design process and design strategy. The results of this research show that the redesign of the paving block building in Gorontalo is needed to support the economic sector of the local community in order to meet the needs of community activities to compete with other regions in entering the paving block production industry.

Abstract

This study aims to further investigate the effect of concrete beam joints on the flexural strength testing of beams with 1 loading point, beam fracture patterns due to the presence of joints where the concrete casting process in projects often cannot be completed in one series of castings.This can happen because the implementation method is applied in stages, the casting area is very large so the volume of concrete is very large and the limitations of manpower, equipment and materials. The result will be casting joints. What is being debated in the field is where the casting should be stopped. To answer this question, this research was conducted. The approach is carried out by testing the flexural strength of a concrete block measuring 15x20x120 cm. The compressive strength of the concrete used is f'c 20. This beam is without reinforcement. So the concrete behavior will be known without being affected by reinforcement. Casting of beams was carried out in 2 stages with 1 day casting time difference and the angle of inclination of the joints was 45o. Connections are made at ¼ and ½ beam span positions. As a form of reinforcement, concrete adhesive is added to the joints. Flexural strength testing was carried out at the age of 14, 21 and 28 days of concrete. The test results show that all beams that have joints are broken at the joints with a broken pattern according to the connection. Overall the beams that have flexural strength joints drop by up to 75%. Thus the casting process that is not complete will produce concrete joints that have the same risk and it cannot be determined which is better between joints in ¼ or ½ span. This proves that concrete joints are points that are prone to fracture due to bending.

Abstract

Slums are a problem faced by almost all major cities in Indonesia and other developing countries. The development of residential areas in the planning region is progressing rapidly, influenced by various policies that also affect spatial utilization activities. This study focuses on slums in Lekobalo Village, Gorontalo City, examining physical conditions, socio-economic conditions, and their impacts. Using a typological approach, an analysis was conducted on the characteristics of residential buildings, density, and irregularity. The aim is to identify the main problems and formulate intervention priorities for better infrastructure management and regional development. This was achieved through descriptive quantitative methods, utilizing both primary data (collected directly from the field) and secondary data (from relevant literature). The results indicate that the area is divided into two main categories: waterfront areas and hilly areas. Floods endanger communities living in the waterfront zones, while the hilly areas face significant challenges due to many houses being constructed on steep slopes without adhering to safe construction practices, thereby increasing the risk of landslides. Settlement patterns reveal a high concentration of population in limited areas, with a building irregularity rate of 59.63% and an average building density of 51.22%. Overall, the condition of residential buildings is generally poor, with 70.11% of buildings being classified as irregular.

Abstract

Perencanaan geometrik jalan merupakan aspek penting dalam desain infrastruktur transportasi yang berfungsi untuk menjamin keselamatan dan kenyamanan pengguna jalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang geometrik pada pembangunan ruas jalan Gorontalo – Bilihu Barat menggunakan software AutoCAD Civil 3D. Metodologi yang digunakan meliputi pengumpulan data topografi, analisis geometrik, dan penerapan desain menggunakan software tersebut. Hasil perancangan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan AutoCAD Civil 3D meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi perhitungan geometrik jalan, serta memberikan visualisasi yang jelas mengenai desain yang diusulkan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam perencanaan jalan di daerah lain dengan karakteristik yang serupa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kapasitas hidraulis dan efektivitas operasional pintu air di Danau Limboto dalam pengelolaan aliran air selama musim hujan dan kemarau. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pemodelan hidrolik, pengukuran debit dan kualitas air, serta analisis data historis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas hidraulis pintu air belum optimal, yang berisiko menyebabkan banjir saat musim hujan dan kekeringan di musim kemarau. Pengembangan skenario operasional adaptif, seperti pembukaan bertahap pada musim hujan dan penutupan parsial pada musim kemarau, diusulkan untuk meningkatkan pengelolaan air. Dampak positif dari pengaturan pintu air yang tepat mencakup pelestarian ekosistem dan peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat sekitar. Rekomendasi untuk peningkatan kapasitas infrastruktur dan pelatihan pengelola diharapkan dapat mendukung keberlanjutan Danau Limboto sebagai sumber daya air utama.

Abstract

Permasalahan genangan air di kawasan perkotaan adalah tantangan yang terus meningkat seiring dengan bertambahnya populasi dan meningkatnya laju urbanisasi. Di banyak kota di Indonesia, termasuk Gorontalo, infrastruktur drainase sering kali tidak mampu menampung volume air hujan yang terus meningkat. Salah satu lokasi yang kerap mengalami masalah genangan air adalah Simpang 4 Jalan Prof. Dr. John Ario Katili, yang merupakan jalur utama dengan tingkat lalu lintas yang padat. Genangan air yang sering terjadi di simpang ini mengganggu arus lalu lintas, memperlambat mobilitas warga, serta mempercepat kerusakan infrastruktur jalan, sehingga berdampak pada aktivitas ekonomi dan kenyamanan masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the elements of Community Based Tourism (CBT) in North Sangalla District, Tana Toraja Regency and determine the strategy for developing community based tourism potential. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach based on SWOT Analysis. The required data, both primary data and secondary data, was obtained through data collection from related agencies as well as literature studies, interviews, field observations, and documentation. The results of this research are based on the identification of CBT elements in North Sangalla District, Tana Toraja Regency, it is known that (1) the elements of CBT ini North Sangalla District are natural and cultural resources, organization, management, and learning. (2) the existing tourism potential development strategy can be implemented by prioritizing the development of natural resource potential and the development of attractioness. The conclusion from the research conducted is that good collaboration and cooperation is needed between the goverment and the community. The goverment can work together with educational institutions to improve the quality of human resources while the community needs to be actively involved in creating autentic tourism experinces, developing tourist attractions and managing local businesses. This synergy will support sustainable tourism development and increase tourist attraction.

Abstract

Using historical data, forecasting is a technique for estimating future values. The CV Karya Teknik Mandiri was the site of this study. Buildings in industries, civil workers, backfilling, bridges, cementing/irrigation, mechanical & electrical workers, plumbing, electrical installations, ducting/ac, and other services are all provided by CV Karya Teknik Mandiri. Material buildup occurs often at CV Karya Teknik Mandiri. Material buildup at CV Karya Teknik Mandiri leads to losses, including unnecessary storage space usage and a higher risk of material deterioration, which lowers the caliber of produced items. This study examines the comparison of moving average methods, exponential smoothing, and exponential smoothing with trend in forecasting material needs, particularly cement at CV Karya Teknik Mandiri, as the company must make precise projections for material needs in the coming months. The Exponential Smoothing approach with α = 0.5 has a lower error rate than other approaches, according to data gathering and processing. The Exponential Smoothing technique with α = 0.5 gets a rating of 19.646 (Bias). MAPE 52.132%, MAD 312.391, MSE 179758.9, and standard error 434.715. The chosen approach is Exponential Smoothing α = 0.5, it may be concluded. The quantity of Material Demand (Cement) that CV Karya Teknik Mandiri is expected to have in July 2021 is 865 / (sack / 50 kg), according to the study of the forecast.

Abstract

Construction Soil bearing capacity analysis is an important part of the reservoir construction process for the Gorontalo Regional Water Supply System (SPAM). The location of the soil investigation is located in Tunggulo Village, which is located in Kabila Bone District, Bone Bolango Regency. The characteristics and bearing capacity of the soil are the subjects of this study. In this study, both field and laboratory soil analysis were used. The characteristics of the soil at the planned reservoir construction site are silty sand with gravel and fine silty sand with varying consistencies, including very loose, springy, and medium density, according to soil investigation data. Field soil investigations show that the most common type of soil is sand, with an SPT value of medium density soil type consistency. The soil consistency against the CPT test qc value is a springy soil type, and the comparison of the bearing capacity and maximum load values ​​between CPT and SPT is greatly influenced by variations in soil type consistency

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengelolaan sumber dana di TK Kristen 1 UKSW dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kelangsungan operasional pendidikan. Pengelolaan dana pendidikan yang efisien sangat penting untuk mendukung mutu pendidikan di sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dengan kepala sekolah, guru, dan orang tua siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sumber dana utama berasal dari iuran bulanan orang tua siswa, berupa Sumbangan Pengembangan Pendidikan (SPP) dan uang pangkal tahunan. Selain itu, sekolah juga mendapat dukungan dana eksternal seperti bantuan dari Dinas Pendidikan (BOSP) dan kerjasama dengan Fakultas Pertanian UKSW untuk kegiatan pendidikan. Sekolah mengelola dana dengan perencanaan anggaran tahunan yang berfokus pada pemenuhan kebutuhan operasional dan peningkatan fasilitas. Namun, tantangan utama yang dihadapi adalah keterlambatan pembayaran SPP oleh sebagian orang tua siswa, yang mempengaruhi kelancaran operasional sekolah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa keberhasilan pengelolaan sumber dana sangat bergantung pada transparansi, kerjasama dengan pihak eksternal, dan perencanaan yang baik untuk menjaga kelangsungan dan mutu pendidikan di TK Kristen 1 UKSW.
