Abstract

This study aims to design and develop an automatic essay scoring application using the Cosine similarityalgorithm, with a case study at MTS Perguruan Mu’allimat. The main objectives of this research are tounderstand the process of creating an automatic answer correction system and to explore the application ofthe Cosine similarity method in the automatic essay answer correction system. The research begins withdesigning the system based on Object Oriented Programming (OOP) principles according to the systemrequirements analysis. The implementation of the Cosine similarity algorithm is conducted to calculate thesimilarity between students' answers and the correct answers. The results indicate that using the Cosinesimilarity algorithm in essay answer correction facilitates grading with reasonably good accuracy. Bytesting 10 student answers, the algorithm achieves an accuracy rate of 75.11% compared to manualcalculations. From these results, it can be concluded that this system is effective and accurate in scoringessay exams, and thus can be widely implemented to improve grading efficiency in educational settings.Keywords: essay grading application, Cosine similarity, automatic correction.

Abstract

This research aims to develop company financial analysis using the Return On Assets calculation method.The background of this research refers to the financial report data of PT Gajah Tunggal in 2023 which hasbeen attached to the official website which can be accessed, but here the problem is that the financialinformation data has not yet determined the percentage of their financial effectiveness in detail so thatpotential investors or prospective investors do not get information quickly so they have to calculate itmanually themselves so it is not effective for translation, so this research is aimed at making automaticcalculations for all the calculations needed by a potential investor or prospective investor, where thissystem can calculate the Return On Assets value and other calculations automatically and can be printed asa detailed report. Based on the researcher's experiments and implementation, it was concluded that theReturn On Assets calculation method and other calculation methods that were applied were successful inproviding accurate calculation results and in all experiments the calculation accuracy was very precise ascompared to the manual calculations that had been carried out. This system is running well according to thedesign that has been carried out with data that has been obtained from PT Gajah Tunggal's financial data,where the data is the annual financial data published for financial data in 2023.Keywords: Financial analysis, PT Gajah Tunggal, Return On Assets calculation method.

Abstract

A house is an essential element in meeting the needs of life as a shelter for every resident. KabupatenMojokerto is a region with the potential for population growth, thus increasing the demand for housing.Currently, there are many housing developments in Kabupaten Mojokerto with various criteria, making itdifficult for prospective buyers to decide on a house that meets their needs. To address this issue, theresearcher provides a solution to help determine the right choice of subsidized housing using a DecisionSupport System (DSS). A DSS is a tool used to assist in the decision-making process by analyzing data,applying criteria, and providing appropriate alternative recommendations. In implementing this DSS, theresearcher uses the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method forthe decision-making process. This research aims to design and implement an effective DSS and apply theTOPSIS method in the decision-making process. The result of this research is a web-based application. Theresearch findings show that the system can provide accurate recommendations in line with userpreferences. The developed DSS is expected to assist local governments and property developers inunderstanding and meeting the community's needs for subsidized housing, thereby enhancing theeffectiveness of the subsidized housing program in Mojokerto Regency.Keywords: DSS, TOPSIS, Housing, Mojokerto.

Abstract

The increasingly rapid development of technology forces human life to follow every development, one ofwhich is the existence of computers which have become the main commodity in every activity. Advancesin technology and information also provide many conveniences in processing inventory data. Oneimportant aspect in an institution is the management of inventory items, because they are assets of theinstitution whose existence and condition must always be monitored and reported at all times. With thisreport, information regarding the presence or absence of an inventory item can be obtained. The goodsinventory system in public elementary schools in Bareng sub-district is not yet optimal regarding inventoryrecording reports and there is a lack of order in reporting inventory items. This research aims to design andimplement a website-based school inventory system using the Safety Stock method to increase theefficiency of school inventory items. This method prioritizes securing school inventory stock so that thereare no shortages when requested at each institution. The research results show that the application of theSafety Stock method is effective in managing school inventory in public elementary schools in Bareng sub-district, with a significant reduction in the waiting time for inventory items to arrive and the completiontime for school inventory reports. This system provides an efficient solution to improve the quality of theschool inventory security system and operational reports in each institution in the Bareng sub-district.Keywords: Inventory, Safety Stock, School.

Abstract

One of the most important aspects of student assessment is descipline which measures several indicatorssuch as attendance or participation in school activities and also compliance with the rules set by the school.The fuzzy logic Tsukamoto method was chosen because of its ability to handle uncertain and subjectivedata so and objective student discipline assessment reports. The system is designed using websitetechnology that makes it easy for teachers to enter, monitor and evaluate student discipline scores. Systemtesting is carried out using data obtained from the superior NU Mojoagung Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, data inthe from of assessments used by teachers to determine student discipline such as attendance and attitudescores which are processed using the Tsukamoto fuzzy logic method. The results of this study show thatthis system is able to produce reports on the discipline assessment of students who are disciplined by 55%and those who are quite disciplined 45% of a certain period of time with a good level of accuracy so that itcan facilitate the school in a more precise evaluation related to coaching and developing student discipline.Keywords: Processing Scores, Discipline, Fuzzy.

Abstract

This study applies the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to select healthy instant food andbeverage products to prevent Diabetes Mellitus. The developed web-based system evaluates nutritionalcriteria such as energy, sugar, saturated fats, sodium, fruits and vegetables, protein, and fiber. This systemassists consumers in making healthier food choices and supports efforts to prevent Diabetes Mellitus. Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of Virtual Reality (VR) technology as a promotional medium fortourism in Bawean Island. The research aims to assess how VR can enhance tourist experiences andattract more visitors. The methodology employed is the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Theresults indicate that both TAM variables significantly contribute to user acceptance and satisfactionwith VR as a promotional tool. Abstract

Air conditioners (ACs) are widely used cooling devices in various places such as homes, offices, ANDeducational institutions. Continuous use of ACs often leads to malfunctions that require hANDling bytechnicians. However, newly graduated technicians often struggle to diagnose malfunctions efficiently due toa lack of experience. To address this issue, this research aims to develop a web-based expert system using theforward chaining method, designed to assist AC technicians in diagnosing malfunctions quickly ANDaccurately. The forward chaining method is employed to trace symptoms through a series of questions thathelp technicians identIFy the parts that need repair, covering 30 symptoms AND 13 AC malfunctions. Thisexpert system is expected to improve the efficiency of technicians in diagnosing AND repairing ACs. Theresults of the research indicate that the developed expert system functions well, facilitates technician accessfrom anywhere with a user-friendly interfaceKeywords: Air conditioner, expert system, forward chaining, malfunction diagnosis, web-based.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a illness that significantly affects the global population. This study explores theimplementation of Naive Bayes to predict diabetes mellitus. The problems faced include the complexity ofclinical datasets, feature diversity, and the need for accurate predictions. The proposed solution is to usethe Naive Bayes classification algorithm that utilizes a simple but strong assumption about featureindependence. The system is described with steps involving data pre-processing, dataset partitioning,Naive Bayes model training, and performance evaluation. The datasets used include age, gender, weight,HbA1C, fasting blood sugar. The results and testing show that the Naive Bayes model can provide fairlyaccurate predictions for diabetes mellitus, with performance assessed through evaluation metrics such as ,recall, accuracy, F1-score, and precision. In conclusion, the implementation of Naive Bayes is a fairlyeffective approach to predicting diabetes mellitus. In this study, The performance of the Naïve Bayesmethod is considered quite accurate, this is evidenced in the highest accuracy score of 85.71%. Despite itssimplicity, this algorithm can handle the complexity of the dataset and provide reliable predictions.Keywords: Diabetes Mellitus, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Classification, and Naïve Bayes.

Abstract

A teacher plays a very important role in improving the quality of education for students at school. The qualityof education at school can be assessed from the level of quality of teachers in carrying out various activities,roles and responsibilities at school. One of the ways that schools and education agencies can improve thequality of education is by conducting teacher performance assessments, to determine the quality of teacherperformance. Therefore, evaluating teacher performance is very important, so that teachers can alwaysimprove their role in every student at school. Unfortunately, the teacher performance assessment process atSMAN 1 Ngantang is still manual, intuitive and less than objective, so the assessment results are stillconsidered unsatisfactory. Because of this, it is important to build a Decision Support System for TeacherPerformance Assessment at SMAN 1 Ngantang, to make it easier for schools to assess teacher performanceat school. Calculations in this system will use the MAUT method, this method was chosen because it canassess and rank alternatives based on the preference values and weights that have been given to each criterion.Keywords: Decision Support System, Teacher Performance Assessment, MAUT Method
