Ta'allum: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam
Taallum Jurnal Pendidikan Islam p-ISSN 2303-1891 , e-ISSN 2549-2926 has been accredited Sinta 3 by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia with the number B/1796/E5.2/KI.02.00/2020. Accreditation starts from Volume 8 Issue 1 of 2020. This journal is a scientific journal that contains papers taken from critical analysis studies in the field of Islamic education. It also contains original works of researchers from lecturers, students, and other related parties who have not or have not been found in the form of research articles and conceptual ideas. This journal is published twice in compilation: June and December which are in demand throughout Indonesia countries in the world in print and online. Taallum content is licensed based on Lisensi Internasional Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Authors retain the copyright to their articles. Users are free to reuse published material if proper citation of the original publication is provided. The journal provides direct open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports greater global knowledge exchange.

It is a fact that social stratum is an effect of the differences of education, economy, or ancestry. It appears since the human beings lived together in a social organization. The main cause for the appearance of social strata is the imbalance between rights and obligation of the member of society and the unfair share of power in the society. Social stratum and education is mutually influential in two ways. First, high education needs fund and motivation. Second, type of education determines the social stratum. In other words, education does not only provide skills but also cause some differences in term of way of life and mental life.

Language is very important for everyone used to deliver information, ideas, and thought from a person to others. One of the oldest languages in this world is Arabic. It is used in oral and written form and it contributes to the development of Islamic thought tradition in some Islamic texts such as Qur’an, Hadits, Tafsir, Fiqih, Tasawuf, etc. Therefore, it is very important for Moslems to learn Arabic language especially in the realm of Islamic education as to gain deep understanding about the substances or contents (meaning sense) of the text. This article discusses about the important roles of Arabic in islamic education to increase the faith quality and good behavior of Moslems.

Character education is the deliberate effort (conscious) to help people understand, care about, and implement the core ethical values. It is expected that character and personality are formed by the learners themselves who long for the success of character education. Learners are expected to understand the values imparted to him, entirely without any misunderstanding at all. Integration of character education is vital in overcoming the problem of moral crisis. Thus, in the implementation of character education in schools is three methods are employed involving learning, extracurricular activities, and school culture.

So far, the movement of character building in educational institutions is not yet effective. It can be seen that students schools do not behave well as represented by the occurrence of juvenile delinquency in various forms which even against the law. There must be a collaboration between school and parent as to support the implementation of character education. Family is the basis for developing students’ good character.

Scaffolding is a help given for studentt in solving learning problem. It may be in the form of giving solution, example, and other action so that the student becomes autonomous. Scaffolding is useful help students to achieve higher competence in the cognitive conflict based teaching. In learning, cognitive conflict appears in various conditions such as naturally occurs when students are guessing, finding out that the hypothesis is wrong, and being provoked by the teachers and their classmates. Cognitive conflict is defined as conflict between cognitive structure and environment like experiment, demonstration, peer opinion, or a conflict between concept and cognitive structure.

In achieving the target of national education, formal or non-formal, the role of a teacher is vital. Of the roles to be played by the teacher, providing good model for the students is seen as effective and efficient. In this case, the students would see not only how to develop their cognitive aspect but also affective and psychomotor aspects. To be specific with Islamic education, providing good model is effective in internalizing Islamic values to the students.

As a teaching media, a picture in a comic means thousand words. Edward Lee Thorndike conducts a research on the benefit of using comic for learning and the results shows that using comic is effective in improving learners’ mastery of vocabulary. As a teaching media, educational comics which are specially designed for educational purpose are effective to help low motivated learners.

This article is intended to elaborate strategies in incorporating anti corruption awareness through hidden curriculum and morality education. It is of necessity to increase such kind of awareness among students so that they can avoid any action related to corruption. In this case, some practices such as good behavior, discipline, and good relationship among students-teachers are fostered in the daily activities at school. The effect is the increase of students’ honesty, responsibility, and solidarity across level of education.

The current research is conduced to investigate the effect of circuit training on the level of physical fitness and accuracy of shooting of children at 10-12 years old. The research is quasi experimental using two-group pre-test post- test design. The population of the current research is 20 students of SDN Puro Pakualaman Yogyakarta. The data are collected by implementing TKJI test for children and shooting test to measure the accuracy of shooting. The data are taken prior to and after the circuit training with the intensity of 70% - 80%, the frequency of training is three times a week. The trainings are done during 12 -14 times with the duration of 25-30 minutes. The data are analyzed by using t-test. The findings reveal that (1) there is no significant different of the students’ physical fitness, (2) there is significant different of the students’ accuracy of shooting, (3) there is an increase of physical fitness and accuracy of shooting of the students who do circuit training. In conclusion, circuit training is effective in improving the accuracy in shooting for children at the age of 10-12 years old.
