Abstract

Research Objectives: To construct a questionnaire on the obstacles to the quality of education according to the credit hour system from the faculty members' perspective. To identify the obstacles to the quality of education according to the credit hour system. The researchers used the descriptive methodology with a survey method due to its suitability for the nature of the research. The research population and sample were selected from the faculty members of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / University of Samarra, numbering (33). The researchers employed several statistical tools to reach results that achieve the research objectives. The researchers concluded that obstacles to the quality of education according to the credit hour system exist. The item "(Compulsory courses are proportional to the objectives of the educational process)" was identified as the highest-ranking obstacle. The researchers also put forth several recommendations, including the need for continuous attention to developing and improving the quality of education under the credit hour system.

Abstract

The importance of research lies in revealing level of social interaction of teachers of Al-Majar Al-Kabeer Preparatory School in Maysan Governorate and the extent of its reflection on their profession. Social interaction is an important process in their professional lives, and individual behavior is nothing but a phenomenon resulting from continuous interaction with individuals and what we expect from the behavior of others or their actual behavior. Thus, this interaction includes a kind of expectation on the part of all participants in it. The extent of the teacher's ability, effectiveness, and success in it is one of the most important psychological foundations in light of which it is linked to the leadership personality that is constantly searching for psychological interaction in its endeavor. It is dynamic and evolutionary, reflected through the stages of its development within him. In addition to the above, the teacher is considered a social pioneer because he feels the problems in society and works to deal with and solve these problems with his personal effort, capabilities, and creative style in communication and interaction with others to reach safety. Hence, the problem of the research came in the lack of a tool to measure social interaction among teachers of Al-Majar Al-Kabeer Preparatory School in Maysan Governorate. The researcher used the descriptive approach using the survey method for the purpose of preparing a scale of social interaction, as the research community is the male and female teachers of secondary and preparatory schools in Al-Majar Al-Kabeer Education Department in Maysan Governorate, numbering (830) teachers. The research sample was selected as (375) male teachers and (455) female teachers, and thus the percentage is (100%). They were selected according to what the research procedures require. Statistical transactions were conducted to extract the psychometric properties of the scale (validity, reliability, objectivity) and determine its standard levels. The researcher concluded that secondary school teachers The secondary schools of Al-Majar Al-Kabir Education in Maysan Governorate are characterized by social interaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the super-sub strategy in changing match momentum in the SMAN 8 Makassar football team. The research method used was descriptive quantitative with match observation techniques for 15 matches during the 2024 school league competition. Data were collected through systematic observation of substitution patterns, substitution timing, and their impact on match results. The analysis technique used chi-square test and Cramer's V coe,cient to determine the relationship between substitution timing and match outcome. The results showed that 58.3% of tactical substitutions had a positive impact on match results, especially substitutions made between the 60th and 75th minutes (65.4% effectiveness rate). Offensive substitutions had a higher success rate (61.2%) compared to defensive substitutions (52.8%). The most effective super-sub strategy was observed when the team was trailing by one goal, with a 42.8% success rate in changing the final result. This research concludes that proper timing and player selection in implementing super-sub strategy significantly inIJuence match momentum and final results.

Abstract

The study aimed to rehabilitate the injured person to play after the injury, and not undergoing rehabilitation is a big mistake, as the athlete's return and continuation of his training program will lead to aggravation of the injury. Therefore, rehabilitation must be carried out for the injured after surgical intervention and enable a healthy and safe return as soon as possible by finding solutions and how to direct the effect of exercises and therapeutic devices in a way that suits the muscle work and reaches the recovery stage as quickly as possible. The study sample consisted of 5 players who were intentionally selected from advanced athletes in the sports of football, basketball, and weightlifting. who were injured with a torn anterior cruciate ligament and who underwent surgery, who were subjected to pre- and post (strength, range, balance, neurological variables) tests. The researchers concluded that the rehabilitation approach using rehabilitation exercises and the (TENS) device contributed to improving these variables. The researchers recommended paying attention to the experiences of academics and researchers specialized in sports rehabilitation and adopting a cooperation mechanism between the Ministry of Health and the faculties of physical education and sports sciences.

Abstract

The present study was set to determine what differences exist in the psychological adjustment of female students who participate in sports activities with those who do not participate at the University of Samarra. The research acquires its significance by an advanced level gap which exists due to an insufficiency of laborious field studies on the preventive and therapeutic effects through sports among female students inside Iraqi universities. This is exactly at a time when several cultural and institutional challenges are impeding their participation. The net sample came out, finally, as (94) students for the practicing group that includes those from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences while, for the non-practicing group, there were students from the Department of Civil Engineering. The researcher adopted the Psychological Adjustment Scale developed by Hana (1970) in her study and used an independent sample t-test for analyzing data. Results presented here mean that practicing students had better psychological adjustment at a statistically significant level than non-practicing students (mean = 105.08, mean = 83.03). Regular physical practice reduced biological stress indicators and increased the secretion of positive neurotransmitters; thus, practicing sports raises self-efficacy, self-esteem, and mental toughness as one discovers a very suitable means to control emotions and organize stress. This results from team sports giving high social support and also a state of belongingness which will boost the social and psychological adjustment of students on all fronts. This leads to increasing the general mental health of an individual student through the regular physical activities that help in adapting to challenging academic situations among Iraqi university students.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and test the effectiveness of interactive learning media based on basic basketball techniques in improving the active participation and technical skills of students at SMA 19 Makassar. The study used a one-group pretest-posttest design with a sample of 40 students. The research instruments included a basic technical skills test (passing, dribbling, shooting, and pivoting) and an active participation observation sheet. Data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially using paired sample t-tests and Cohen's d effect size. The results showed that interactive learning media significantly increased active participation and mastery of basic techniques. The average student active participation increased from 28.15 to 35.87 (a 27.4% increase). For the basic technique indicator, passing skills increased from 11.75 to 16.43 seconds, dribbling skills improved from 17.84 seconds to 14.92 seconds, shooting skills increased from 14.40 to 21.05 seconds (a 46.1% increase), and pivot skills increased from 11.38 to 16.10. A paired sample t-test showed a p-value <0.05 for all variables, indicating a significant improvement after using interactive media. The intervention effect size was classified as large to very large (Cohen's d between 1.62 and 2.39). Overall, interactive learning media proved effective in increasing active participation, learning motivation, and basic basketball technical skills. This media can be an innovative alternative in modern Physical Education (PJOK) learning, particularly in optimizing technique visualization and encouraging active student engagement in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) learning model on students' tactical thinking skills in soccer games at SMA 9 Makassar. The research method used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 40 students divided into two groups: 20 students in the experimental group (IBL) and 20 students in the control group (conventional method). The instruments were a tactical performance test through soccer games and a tactical observation sheet (notational analysis). Data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, paired t-tests, and independent t-tests. The results showed that the experimental group experienced an average increase in tactical thinking skills from 62.40 (pretest) to 81.25 (posttest), while the control group increased from 63.10 to 69.30. The t-test results confirmed that the increase in the experimental group was statistically significant (p < 0.01) compared to the control group. These findings indicate that the IBL model is significantly effective in improving tactical thinking skills in soccer games compared to conventional methods. Practical implications: Physical education teachers and school coaches may consider implementing IBL to train students' cognitive-tactical aspects, not just technical or motor skills. This research supports the idea that active-participatory learning can develop young soccer players who are not only physically skilled but also able to think strategically in real-life games.

Abstract

Volleyball instruction in physical education requires a pedagogical approach that develops both technical skills and students' social and motivational aspects. This literature review aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing cooperative learning models—specifically STAD, TGT, Jigsaw, and their variations—in improving volleyball technical skills and students' affective outcomes. The review method was conducted systematically through a search of articles in Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, DOAJ, SINTA, and GARUDA databases published between 2015 and 2025. Keywords included cooperative learning models, volleyball, physical education, technical learning outcomes, and learning motivation. Of the 100 initial articles, 30 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed thematically and narratively. The review results indicate that implementing cooperative learning models significantly improves volleyball technical skills—underhand passing (15–35%), overhand passing (10–28%), serving (12–30%), and smashing (10–25%). In addition to technical aspects, the cooperative learning model also has a positive impact on student motivation, cooperation, communication, and active participation. STAD is the most widely used model and the most consistent in improving students' technical performance and social aspects. Overall, these findings imply that the cooperative learning model is highly relevant for volleyball learning and worthy of integration into the Physical Education and Health curriculum. This review also emphasizes the need for further research with more robust experimental designs, longer intervention durations, and the use of modern learning technology.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of a physical conditioning training program on injury prevention in BKMF Volleyball FIKK Universitas Negeri Makassar athletes. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design in one group. The study subjects were 30 athletes (18 males and 12 females) who participated in the physical conditioning training program for 8 weeks, with a training frequency of 3 times per week. The results showed a significant increase in all components of physical condition. The average vertical jump increased from 42.1 cm to 46.3 cm, push-ups from 18.4 times to 22.7 times, the Illinois Agility Test decreased from 17.2 seconds to 15.6 seconds, the beep test from level 6.5 to 7.8, and sit and reach from 25.3 cm to 28.9 cm. In addition, the number of injuries decreased from a total of 16 cases (8 ankles, 5 knees, 3 backs) to only 3 cases after the intervention. Statistical tests showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results (p < 0.05), and there was a strong negative correlation between the increase in physical condition and the decrease in the number of injuries (r = -0.65; p = 0.001). These results prove that the physical condition development program has a significant effect on reducing the number of injuries in volleyball athletes.
