Abstract

This research was intended to describe the errors in narrative essays on 5th grade students of SDN Cilengkrang, Sumedang Regency. Observation results showed some of the problems, such as students found it difficult to express ideas so that it was difficult to write essays, students didn’t respond well so that they looked unhappy and less active in learning. Based on those problems, the impact on student outcomes was greater which causes errors at the level of morphology, phonology, syntax, semantics, and spelling. Errors that could occur due to students' lack of understanding of good and correct spelling. This research was a preliminary study specifically designed to describe errors in narrative essays on elementary school students in Sumedang Regency. The long-term goals of the results of this study, could be used in the learning process by using models and learning methods that could minimize the problems done by students. In addition, the results of this study could create teaching materials that could bring out student’s motivation in writing essays. The method used in this research was descriptive. This method explained the recently phenomena through the collection of data obtained. The results of the analysis obtained data from six primary schools namely, SDN Cilengkrang.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to interpret the values ​​of religiosity in the film Laskar Pelangi by Andrea Hirata. The study uses a semiotic research method. This method is used to describe the contents expressed or implied in the film. The findings of the research on the value of religiosity in the film Laskar Pelangi are in essence an author's attempt to help the reader realize his values. The value of religiosity includes human personal life in relation to God. These values ​​are contained in dialogues and images. The dialogue presented in the film, partly comes from the teachings of Islam. The film also depicts scenes of exemplary figures and worship practices. The film Laskar Pelangi provides a moral message that encourages viewers to change into better personalities and noble morals. The results of the study are expected to be an input for the public to be able to use film as a means to take positive messages in self improvement and the surrounding environment.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the contents of Marah Rusli Siti Nurbaya novel. The authorin this study, wants to analyze the social values ​​that exist in the short story of Siti Nurbaya whichis divided into three studies in social values, namely social values ​​related to divinity, socialvalues ​​related to individuals, and social values ​​related to society. The method used in this studyis a qualitative method, a method that describes and analyzes each part of the contents in relationto social values ​​in the novel and describes social values ​​in the novel so that the writer candistinguish between the social values ​​of God, individuals, and society. The author chose this method because this method is suitable to be used as a way to analyze the social values ​​containedin the novel Siti Nurbaya, so that the analysis of the novel is easier and the author can present theresults of the analysis carefully, accurately and in detail and distinguish the social values​​contained in the novel.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana literasi digital dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen serta implementasinya dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah menggunakan teknik studi pustaka berupa hasil penelitian terdahulu serta teori-teori yang relevan dengan penelitian ini dan juga menggunakan teknik wawancara untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai literasi digital dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen di sekolah. Kesulitan utama dalam menulis ialah ketidakmampuan siswa menuangkan ide atau gagasannya ke dalam bentuk tulisan. Hal tersebut wajar karena siswa sangat jarang melatih keterampilan menulisnya secara langsung, terlebih kurangnya informasi, wawasan dan pengetahuan siswa dalam sesuatu yang akan ditulis. Dengan demikian guru sebagai pendidik yang berinteraksi secara langsung dengan peserta didik, harus mampu memanfaatkan gerakan literasi digital sebagai alat untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran menulis tersebut. Salah satu caranya yaitu dengan menjadikan teknologi sebagai sarana untuk membantu meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis. Itu semua dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan e-book atau novel digital sebagai referensinya.

Abstract

The ability of students in reading comprehension is relatively low, especially in analyzing the elements of short story builders, so a breakthrough in learning is needed that can improve students' ability to read comprehension through the use of CIRC learning models. The formulation of the problem in this study are (1) How is the ability to analyze the short story builder elements in class XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Subang? (2) How is the ability to analyze the short story building elements in class XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Subang by using the CIRC learning model? (3) Is the use of the CIRC method effectively used in learning to analyze the short story building elements? The objectives of this study are (1) Describe the ability to analyze short story builder elements in class XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Subang (2) Describe the ability to analyze short story builder elements in class XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Subang using the CIRC learning model. (3) Describe the effectiveness of using the CIRC method in analyzing the elements of the short story builder. This research uses the Pre-Experiment one group pretest-posttest desaign research method. In the initial data the results of this study averaged 63.06 while the average value obtained by students in the final test was 77.94. From both of these results indicate that there is an increase in the average value on the final test compared to the initial test before using the CIRC Learning model, so that the use of the CIRC learning model in analyzing the elements of short story builders can be said to be effective.

Abstract

This research aims to know: the influence of SQ4R reading techniques on the ability to read understanding of high school students at Daar EL Falaah Regency Pandeglang. The influence of critical thinking on the ability to read understanding private high school students Daar EL Falaah District Pandeglang.The influence of interactive reading techniques and critical thinking towards the ability to read the understanding of private high school students Daae EL Falaah District Pandeglang. This research uses experimental method with design experiments by Treatment 2x2. Quantitative Data is obtained through comprehension reading ability tests and critical thinking tests. Data analysis using ANOVA 2 lanes and processed using SPSS 20 program. The results showed: there is a significant influence of the technique of reading on the ability to read the understanding of private high school students Daar EL Falaah Regency Pandeglang. It is evidenced by the acquisition of Sig. = 0.027 < 0.05 and Fh = 5.210. There is a significant influence of critical thinking about the ability to read the understanding of private high school students Daar El Falaah District Pandeglang. This is evidenced by the acquisition of Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05 and Fh = 23.188. There is a significant influence interaction of reading techniques and types of critical thinking on the ability to read the understanding of private high school students Daar El Falaah District Pandeglang. This is evidenced by the acquisition of Sig. = 0.042 > 0.05 and Fh = 4.349.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this good practice is to describe the practice of both the writer in oriented learning higher order thinking skills (HOTS). Implementation objectives best practices were students of class VII in SMP Islam Integrated Assalam as many as 29 people. The media used in this study is a good practice class materials VII Text Reports Results of observation and student worksheet (LKS). Instruments used in the practice of this kind there are of (a) an instrument to observe the learning process in the form of observation sheet and (b) the instrument test student learning outcomes. The method used in the implementation of the best practise are learning curriculum implemented in 2013 using a model of discovery learning with the syntax as follows: (1) Mapping basic competencies; (2) Competency Target Analysis; (3) Formulation of Competency Achievement Indicators ; (4) Selecting a Model Learning; (5) Planned Activities Learning with Model Learning; and (6) Developing Learning Media.

Abstract

This research was carried out in the Management Study Program of the Faculty of Economics, Mathla'ul Anwar University in the compulsory general subject (MKWU) of Indonesian Language which aims to determine the ability of students in preparing paragraphs as well as the use of lexical cohesion tools. From the results of the analysis found four types of repetition include repetition of types that have an impact, intact, partially and change the sound. Repeated types of repetition get the largest number of 15, followed by the type of repetition of the total number of 13, some with the number 5 and change the number of sounds 2. The method used in this research is descriptive analytic. This method is done by collecting data, compiling or classifying data, analyzing and then trying to describe linguistic data in the form of written Indonesian sentences.

Abstract

Basically everyone is capable of writing, it's just that writing skills need to be trained on an ongoing basis. Apart from needing to be trained on an ongoing basis, the selection of learning methods also needs to be considered, considering that students' ability to write can be categorized as still weak. The learning method used in this research is the suggestion-imagination method. The formulation of the problems in this study are: (1) How is the ability of class XI students of SMK PGRI Subang in writing short stories? (2) How is the ability of class XI students of SMK PGRI Subang in writing short stories using the suggestion-imagination method? (3) How to improve the ability of class XI students of SMK PGRI Subang in learning to write short stories using the suggestion-imagination method? The main objective in this study is how to improve student learning outcomes after using the suggestion-imagination method. The research method used was pre-experimental with a research design in the form of experimental one group pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted at SMK PGRI Subang with the research subjects of class XI TKJ 1 as the experimental class. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling technique or sample aims. Based on statistical data with the help of the SPSS 23 program, the initial test average value was 56.54 and the final test obtained an average value of 75.28. Based on these calculations, it can be seen that there is an increase in the average value of the posttest compared to the pretest before using the suggestion-imaginary method. Thus the use of the suggestion-imagination method in learning to write short stories is able to provide significant changes and this is proven to be effectively applied in learning to write short stories.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the people in Indonesia which consist of various ethnic groups and cultures, each of which has a regional language. This will cause the Indonesian language to receive influence from regional languages, including Sundanese. Like the students of Madrasah Tsanawiah Mathla ul Anwar Banten who use two languages, namely Sundanese as the first language and Indonesian as the second language. The Indonesian language they use is only in learning situations at school, while in their surroundings they use Sundanese as their daily language. Of course the Indonesian they use, especially when students communicate verbally, is still influenced by Sundanese. The problem that the writer examines in this research is the students' oral style, namely how the form of Sundanese phonological interference to Indonesian and the factors causing phonological interference. The method used in this research is descriptive method and research techniques are used to complement this method with literature and recording techniques. The results of the recordings are then made transcript and then interpret the errors, analyze the errors found, and interpret the results of the analysis and conclude them. The results showed that there was the addition of the phoneme h, the replacement of the phoneme f to p, the replacement of the phoneme a to e, the replacement of the phoneme i to e, the replacement of the diphthong au to o, the elimination of the phoneme e, the removal of the phoneme h As for the factors that cause interference by speakers include: bilingualism, lack of loyalty to Indonesian language users, and eliminating rarely used vocabulary.
