Abstract

This study aims to examine in-depth the teaching methods for the concept of area and length at SDN 05 Teramang Jaya, Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province, including the obstacles faced by teachers, the learning media used, and the difficulties experienced by students in understanding the concept of area. By utilizing qualitative research methods that included indirect observation via video calls, in-depth interviews with teachers, and documentation as a follow-up, this study successfully addressed students' learning in the classroom. The results indicate that teachers use a concrete learning approach utilizing visual media and real objects, which significantly helps students understand the abstract concept of rectangular area. However, various obstacles such as limited measuring tools and variations in students' basic mathematical abilities, particularly in multiplication, pose significant challenges to the learning process. Furthermore, teachers expressed their hope that mathematics learning at the tertiary level will continue to innovate with supporting technology, thus producing more creative, disciplined, and professional prospective teachers. This research is expected to serve as a reference for teachers, prospective teachers, and educational institutions in developing effective and innovative learning methods in the future.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the kite area learning strategy for elementary school students through an analysis of teacher interviews at SDN 21 Bengkulu Selatan and integrating it with theoretical studies from Neza Agusdianita's journal and supporting ethnomathematics journals. The research data was obtained through structured interviews with elementary school teachers and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that students had difficulty understanding the concept of diagonals, tended to memorize formulas, and lacked concrete experiences. The analyzed literature indicates that ethnomathematics, Realistic Mathematics Education (RME), Project-Based Learning (PjBL), and differentiated learning can be effective solutions in fostering students' conceptual understanding. This article emphasizes that contextual, culture-based mathematics learning and utilizing concrete media can improve students' mathematical literacy and understanding of geometry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the challenges in teaching mathematics, specifically the concept of the area of squares and rectangles, and to propose strategies for implementing differentiated instruction based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in elementary schools. The method employed is a literature review, analyzing eleven research articles and two books published between 2017 and 2025. The findings indicate that the main issues in teaching the area of squares and rectangles include students' low mastery of basic multiplication, difficulties in understanding abstract concepts, and the lack of appropriate learning media. Various innovative solutionssuch as Differentiated Learning based on PBL, the Van Hiele Theory, Didactical Design, the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach, and unit square grid media have been proven effective in enhancing students' conceptual understanding, problem- solving skills, and learning outcomes. In conclusion, instructional approaches that account for individual learner characteristics, utilize contextual problems, and incorporate concrete media can comprehensively address the common challenges in mathematics learning at the elementary level.

Abstract

This research aims to identify keyword trends in articles published by other researchers that relate to the discussion topic of contemporary citizenship issues. The key issues highlighted in these articles include radicalism, intolerance, corruption, and national disintegration. Furthermore, solution approaches that can be applied to address these issues will also be discussed. The bibliometric analysis was conducted by searching for relevant articles using the Publish or Perish application, after which the article data was analyzed using VOSviewer. The results of this analysis are presented as a keyword network map. The study found 17 relevant articles containing 171 keywords, which were then narrowed down to the four most frequent keywords. By observing the relationship patterns of these keywords, we can conclude what constitutes contemporary citizenship issues.

Abstract

This paper examines the position of Pancasila as the foundation of the state and the Indonesian nation's philosophy of life, and its relevance to the dynamics of modern life. As the foundation of the state, Pancasila serves as the source of all legal sources and the constitutional foundation that guides the administration of government. Philosophically, Pancasila is understood as a philosophical foundation containing the values of divinity, humanity, unity, democracy, and justice. As a philosophy of life, Pancasila serves as a moral, ethical, and spiritual guideline for Indonesian society in social, cultural, political, economic, and religious life. Through theoretical and analytical studies, this paper highlights the challenges of implementing Pancasila values amidst globalization, rapid technological developments, and the rise of individualism and disinformation that have the potential to erode national identity. The study's findings indicate that the practice of Pancasila still needs to be strengthened, particularly at the practical level, through character education, role models, consistent law enforcement, and a culture of tolerance and mutual cooperation. By optimizing the understanding and appreciation of Pancasila, the Indonesian nation can maintain unity while building a just, democratic, and civilized society. Abstract

Divinity and national moral values ​​are crucial in building the character and morals of the Indonesian people. These values ​​serve as a foundation for a safe and peaceful society. Therefore, a sound spiritual and moral foundation is necessary for effective implementation of values ​​such as integrity and wisdom. This research employs a descriptive approach, while its nature is qualitative. The purpose of this paper is to understand the relationship between divinity and moral values, their relationship, and how they are applied in everyday life. Furthermore, the results, along with several previous studies, demonstrate that these values ​​significantly influence the smooth development of the character of students, citizens, and society.

Abstract

The quality of education at the elementary school level is a crucial foundation for developing students' cognitive abilities, character, and 21st-century competencies. In line with the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, the deep learning approach is a learning strategy that emphasizes in-depth conceptual understanding, critical and reflective thinking, and the connection of knowledge to real-life contexts. This study aims to examine the implementation of the deep learning approach in improving the quality of education at the elementary level and identify challenges in its implementation. The method used was library research, analyzing scientific journals, academic books, educational regulations, and relevant official documents. The study results indicate that the deep learning approach, through the integration of meaningful, mindful, and joyful learning, can improve the quality of learning processes and outcomes and support students' achievement of global competencies. However, its implementation still faces obstacles, particularly in teacher readiness, limited practical training, student developmental characteristics, and supporting facilities and infrastructure. Therefore, systemic and sustainable support is needed for optimal implementation of deep learning in improving the quality of elementary education.

Abstract

Schools as formal educational institutions are required to continuously improve the quality of educational services provided to students. In this process of sustainability, teachers are the central actors. So, is there a relationship between teacher competence and the quality of education at the school level? This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature review. The results of the study indicate that teacher competence affects the quality of education in elementary schools. The results of this study are evidenced by an analysis of the influence of teacher competence on the quality of education at SD Bunda Hati Kudus Jakarta.

Abstract

School accreditation is an educational quality assurance system that functions to assess the feasibility and quality of educational provision in various institutions, including Senior High Schools (SMA). This study reviews the basic concepts, objectives, assessment components, and stages of senior high school accreditation in Indonesia, which are guided by the National Education Standards (Standar Nasional Pendidikan/SNP). The Christian Theological Senior High School (Sekolah Menengah Teologi Kristen/SMTK) is a formal secondary education institution under the Ministry of Religious Affairs that integrates general education with distinctive Christian theological characteristics, aiming to develop students who are faithful, of strong character, and academically competent at a level equivalent to SMA. To ensure its quality, SMTK is required to undergo accreditation. This literature review indicates that accreditation plays a strategic role in ensuring the quality of educational services in SMTK, in alignment with the National Education Standards (SNP) while simultaneously maintaining the distinctive standards of Christian religious education. The school accreditation process (for both public and private schools) functions as a mechanism for evaluating and improving educational quality. The stages begin with preparation (the formation of a team, socialization, training, data/document collection, and the preparation of a self-evaluation report), followed by the completion of accreditation instruments covering three main aspects: management, educational/learning processes, and facilities and infrastructure. Accreditation provides formal recognition of school quality and encourages continuous improvement and innovation. After the visitation, the assessment is conducted through data verification, observation, interviews, and documentation of facilities by assessors. The assessors analyze school performance based on national standards and produce a report that determines the accreditation status (A, B, C, or Not Accredited), along with recommendations for improvements to be implemented.

Abstract

The development of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 has brought Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology into the world of education, including in Christian Religious Education (PAK) learning, which has previously seemed boring for Generation Z. This study aims to examine how AI is used to improve PAK learning outcomes in schools and determine the important role of teachers in the digital era. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analytical approach through a literature study from 2020 to 2025. The results show that the use of AI functions as a digital tool in an adaptive learning system that helps students understand complex religious concepts according to their abilities. The use of AI has increased student participation and made the learning process more efficient, but its success depends heavily on the teacher's ability to combine technology, pedagogy, and teaching materials. PAK teachers have a crucial role as facilitators, mentors, and ethical guardians to ensure that the use of technology remains in accordance with biblical teachings and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. In conclusion, by collaborating between AI technology and the strategic role of teachers, a dynamic and changing PAK learning environment can be created, while still maintaining the values ​​of Christian character development.
