Abstract

This research aims to describe the concept, implementation and impact of Society Action Research (SAR) in community-based education as an effort to strengthen social values. The method used is a literature study by analyzing various scientific sources such as journals, books, research reports and documents related to community empowerment and participatory education. The research results show that SAR is a participatory research approach that integrates research processes, learning and social action through collaboration between researchers and the community. SAR implementation involves cyclical stages starting from problem identification, planning, data collection and analysis, action, to reflection to produce sustainable social transformation. In the context of community-based education, SAR encourages the active role of teachers as facilitators, students as agents of change, communities as social resources, and social institutions as supporting partners. The application of SAR has proven effective in strengthening social values such as mutual cooperation, solidarity, inclusiveness, independence and critical awareness of society. Thus, SAR makes an important contribution in building communities that are empowered, adaptive, and able to face social challenges through collaborative and transformative education.

Specifically, the study seeks to analyze the use of the library by seventh-grade students at MTs DDI Takkalasi, Barru Regency, and to investigate the optimization of the library through digital literacy in relation to students’ learning outcomes in Al-Qur’an and Hadith. The research employed an associative quantitative method, allowing data collection in numerical form and statistical analysis to examine the relationship between variables. A causal research approach was used, involving a sample of 133 students. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 24. The results show that the use of the library by seventh-grade students at MTs DDI Takkalasi, Barru Regency, serves as a learning facility that includes reading textbooks, expanding religious knowledge, and engaging in group study activities. The availability of a comfortable and conducive library environment enables students to manage their study time effectively. Students’ digital literacy skills support effective library utilization, allowing them to access, select, and comprehend information from digital sources independently. As a result, the library becomes an integral part of the learning process and the development of competencies in Al-Qur’an and Hadith. The optimization of the library through digital literacy has been proven to enhance the quality of learning and learning outcomes, as students can access various references, select relevant information, and understand the material more deeply. Moreover, digital literacy encourages independent learning and critical thinking skills, enabling students to connect new information with prior knowledge and thereby strengthen their understanding and mastery of Al-Qur’an and Hadith materials.

The use of online learning platforms is increasingly playing an important role in shaping student learning patterns, culture, and discipline. This study aims to analyze the role of Google Classroom in encouraging changes in students' learning culture and academic discipline in the context of online learning. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design carried out in educational units in small-scale urban areas. Data was collected through an online questionnaire that was distributed to students to explore their perceptions, experiences, and learning habits while using Google Classroom. Data analysis was carried out in a descriptive-thematic manner by grouping findings based on indicators of technology acceptance, learning independence, academic discipline, and learning culture. The analytical framework of this research refers to Social Constructivism, Technology Acceptance Model, Theory of Planned Behavior, and Self-Directed Learning. The results show that the perception of the convenience and usefulness of Google Classroom encourages student learning independence, which has implications for improving academic discipline and the formation of a more structured and responsible online learning culture. This research makes a practical contribution to the development of adaptive and contextual online learning.

Abstract

Contemporary social, cultural, and technological developments present new challenges for the practice of Islamic da'wah, particularly in maintaining social harmony and preventing identity-based conflict. This article aims to analyze the concept of peace education as an orientation for contemporary Islamic da'wah in building a culture of peace, tolerance, and social justice. This research employs a qualitative approach with a literature review method drawn from the Quran, Hadith, and literature on da'wah, Islamic education, and peace studies. The results demonstrate that peace education is strongly relevant to fundamental Islamic values such as rahmatan lil 'alamin (mercy for all the worlds), brotherhood (ukhuwah), justice, and deliberation. The integration of peace education principles into Islamic da'wah can be realized through an educative, dialogical, inclusive, and contextual approach, in both formal and informal settings. This approach serves not only as a means of transforming Islamic values but also as a preventative strategy to reduce the potential for conflict and radicalism in society. Thus, peace education becomes a strategic orientation for contemporary Islamic da'wah in creating a peaceful, moderate, and civilized society.

Abstract

This article discusses the crucial role of information technology in transforming Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). Through a systematic literature review of 32 selected scholarly articles published between 2024 and 2026, this study aims to analyze the utilization, impact, challenges, and implementation strategies of digital technology in the context of PAI learning at the primary level. The review results indicate that the integration of information technology, such as e-learning platforms, digital Qur'an applications, educational social media (YouTube), and interactive presentation tools, can significantly increase student engagement, facilitate the understanding of abstract concepts, and support the development of a more contextual religious character. However, its implementation still faces complex challenges including teachers' digital literacy gap, infrastructure limitations, pedagogical resistance, and the lack of quality Islamic value-based content. This article proposes an integrative-holistic approach that combines strengthening teacher competency, developing local content, tripartite collaboration (madrasah-family-community), and sustainable supporting policies. These findings provide a theoretical contribution to the development of adaptive PAI learning models in the digital era and practical implications for education stakeholders in designing effective and character-focused digital transformation strategies at MI.
